I like GT as an actress. I think she'll be good in the role and she's had the experience of taking over for an actress that most people liked in a role before (When she took over as Dinah when Wendy Moniz left GL)

But...I think she's too young for the role. And, that's gonna show at it's worse when/if Daniel comes back on canvas.

this is some of the best casting I've seen on Y&R since the awesomeness that was Heather "ejector seat" Stevens.

i anxiously await the 'epic romance' of Billy/Phyllis that's soon to come...

too bad she's not a Chloe recast instead... I think she could really take that character someplace. As Phyllis... the character/show is gonna eat her alive, imo.

Looking at those flashbacks, they did have a more chemistry then, than now but JM's acting was better back then too.

Once upon a time, JM was in much better shape (still wasn't good, though), especially since they hadn't started writing Nick like an overgrown fratboy.

Better not tell JM that. He seems to think that he had great chemistry with MS, and Phyllis breathed new life into Nick.

I've always marveled at his blindness. Nick Newman would be nothing if it weren't for Sharon.

No one would have given a fig about Phick if it wasn't for Sharon. You saw how horrid they were when they took Sharon out of their orbit and put them in a triangle with Avery instead.

Wow, Gina Tognoni. I know I should be thrilled! But something was lacking in her final days at GL and her return to OLTL. Something about that harsh, almost butch way she comes across onscreen. I feel like she's best paired up with someone older (Jack) or someone younger. Romancing someone around her own age doesn't look right. Who knows. Maybe her onscreen chemistry with Joshua Morrow will prove me wrong.

Gina is an excellent choice! I'm glad they went with a strong, sexy, but very versatile actress. Now, PLEASE keep Phyllis away from Aunt Jack. I could see Gina with Nick and some others.

Anyway...lol...I'm curious to see what GT brings to the table. I was a big fan of old Dinah on GL and GT won me over. So I'm sure she will be great in this.

While GT is a little young for the role, she's a fave of mine! Excellent!

I feel like Phyllis killed the character of Nick Newman. He was prick before being with her but he had likable. When he got with her, Nick been unbearable and unrecognizable. Makes me wish that JM would've left the show back in '07 when they were planning to had him in that plane crash story while JM was still in negotiations.

Exactly. They were boring. No offense, but Phick was dull as dishwasher and I didn't find them to be this great couple. All their "romance" consisted of was humping in the living room, playing video games, and lying to one another. Some romance.

At least Shick had more to offer, but nowadays, I don't even want Sharon in his orbit. Or Adam (when he was on the show). I always wanted Sam to wound up being Chuckie Roulland (Snapper's son) or Brooks Prentiss and for him to whisk Sharon away from the Newman orbit for good. Sadly, MAB didn't invest in the character and just made him another notch of Sharon's belt to peg her as a the "town wh*re."

Exactly. Sharon has and always will be the ONLY reason I have a pinch of care in the world for Nick.
