My apologies. I have been so glued to this thread that I didn't see the added bday wishes in the status update. I thank you all for the kind wishes.

Back to the matter at hand. I may not get my wish, but I will still hope that one day we will have a post even better the MM's, and that post would have to be that moRon Carlivati and Rank Valentini are gone from my show. However, I could easily see Rank dumping moRon to save his own ass. It's too much to hope for, but I have lots of energy. I feel confident when I say that not one scribe out there is worse. Not McTrash, Leihman(sp), Sheffer, etc. This can never be the case of "watch what you wish for" because nothing could be worse than what's been done to GH! NOTHING! What moRon calls writing/storytelling goes against everything a soap should be. I may not be a writer or producer, but 34 years of soap viewing affords me something in the vicinty of critic! The current state of GH breaks my heart

McTavish, Laiman, Sheffer, they are pretty horrible, but was McTavish's GH really that horrible, I'm not saying I want her or any of them back. Which writer would you like to see (or return) as HW

What an idiot! For one Kanan didn't blast his writing completely and second he simply expressed that he didn't like the character's direction. I think every actor is entitled to that and has done so for many years.

And for the HW to answer to any of this, is soooo poor class.

RC has turned up the situation and overblown SK's comments. He should have just kept quiet and let it pass for 36 hours, or even a polite but terse "He's entitled to his opinion. Onwards and upwards!" would have sufficed.

Instead, he is burning bridges. The people you piss off on the way up will likely be there waiting when you fall back down! What happens if Donna Mills makes a comment at the end of her SL? Finola Hughes? One of the OLTL Three? Is he going to put them on blast, too? Frank or the GH PR people need to rein in their HW's Twitter usage.

Trust me, I am more than aware of the horror these people will bring to any soap, but I'm desperate. You guys are much better at who wrote what and when than I could ever hope to be, but I'd go with someone familiar with GH who has no pets to bring along. Didn't Garin Wolfe write the show between Guza and RC? That was the worst the show has ever been for me. I actually gave the show up during that period, after enduring all of Guza's reign.

Yes, and I freely admit that GW had numerous challenges. He was not prepared for HW, but he did a good job with the characters. Put him with a strong female HW, and we could get some good stuff.

I felt Wolfe did some great stuff with the Carly character to the point that I didn't hate her for the first time since LW took over, but other than that his show was EXTREMELY depressing and bleak. I actually dropped the show completely towards the middle of his short run.

Perhaps that is what I'm seeing - the work he did with Carly. No one, IMHO, wrote her better. Garin had trouble getting from point a to b without tossing in M. I liked his show but there were many disappointments.

I liked GW's Carly for sure.

Loved Alexis going off on her.

And I loved the Carly v everybody NYE Party. For me, it just felt like...Carly.
