Members frequentsoapfan
I generally don't like PSA stories on soaps especially in recent years because they are so badly done. What do you consider the worst PSA story you've seen on a soap? I would definitely have to nominate that texting and driving bait story for the black characters like a year ago. It felt so random and luckily was blink and you missed it. I'm not sure what the hell they were going for there and it obviously had no thought put into it because the police report made no sense. Kristina's abuse story on GH. I hated it from the start because it seemed like one of those quick ways to make you like a character type things and it was so unbelievable that some little boy was going to smack around the daughter of a mob boss. It didnt help that said victim was an unlikeable brat who had no sympathy over causing the death of an unborn sibling. Also on GH Emily's cancer that got cured by Nik's wuv was just awful. Emily's 9 month's speech is such a cringe worthy scene I got secondhand embarrassment. Such awful, childish dialogue. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jeDzLx66YGg
Members Cheap21
Nick's cancer scare on B&B. The one with homelessness and Beverly on that show was pretty bad too. It seems as if the show kept trying to do those stories with Stephanie in her last years and they were boring. The lines between reality and fiction were blurred and it amounted to Susan Flannery being herself talking to real people. Again, boring
Members P.J.
Margo's PTSD story on ATWT. It was a "ripped from the headlines" story that just fell flat. Margo had done the same kind of reckless thing for years and not been thought any the less for. I remember the outrage when Margo took little Casey on a police call when shots were fired. (I think that was what finally got her into therapy, but I could be wrong..) It was horrible parenting---but not any more excusable than her taking off through the passages of McKechnie castle at nearly full term to try and catch the guy who tried to rape Barbara. Members frequentsoapfan
Amanda's HPV on AMC was badly written too well at least from what I watched of it. It wasn't accurate. Are any of B&B's PSAs ever well done? I too remember the boring one that took place at the Soup Kitchen, I think it was around the holidays which didn't even feel like episodes of B&B. Like Cheap said it was Flannery being herself.
Members cassadine1991
Most of B&B's PSAs are just thrown in and used whenever it's time to squeeze out material for Emmy, nominations
Members marceline
I think that story suffered terribly from the show's cancellation. It's a shame because it showed a lot of potential and reminded me of a classic Nixonian social issue story at the beginning.
Members NothinButAttitude
Nikki's MS story & Sharon's bipolar story. Both had so much potential and then both have gone left because of half-ass writers that don't know their own vision or do proper research. Members frequentsoapfan
Really because at the beginning they were already getting things wrong. Most women dont show symptoms of HPV. Amanda got tested because she was showing symptoms

Members Ryan Chamberlain
Sharon's Bi-Polar storyline is crap. So was her Klepto storyline. Which, kinda ties into that.
Members ellabelle
From AMC: Laura's organ donation story...Brooke running around trying to buy an organ was awful, and Laura was such a bitchy character Amanda's HPV...rushed along, inaccurate Zoe/Zarf as transgender...new character we had no reason to like or care about, and it was more about shock value than showing a character really struggling with gender identity. Members DRW50
B&B's Alzheimer's storyline. A shameful, shameful disgrace of a storyline. Brad Bell should be ashamed.
Members DRW50
The Laura heart transplant story on AMC. If I didn't know better I would say the show was trying to get people not to donate organs. GL's right-to-die story with Richard was trite and unbelievable. Y&R's Sharon klepto story, which had her getting it from all ends by a variety of men because of some vaguely defined "mental illness." They finally ended it with, "It's what Cassie wanted!" Yeah, whatever, assholes.
