GH: Lulu recast

It will be interesting to see if JMB gets major prime time work.

Vapid, boring blondes tend to get a lot of primetime work, but I'm not quite sure she has the right look beyond the blonde. Her face is permanently stuck in one of those "bored now" expressions. She's like a corpse waiting for the coroner.

Rylan has been good at playing the poor little rich girl so I'm interested to see how she will do as Lulu. I like her better as Lizzie than Abby because she looked too old for the role. She's also a midget so DZ will tower over her.

YES! She was actually one of my first thoughts but I just assumed she was happy recurring at Y&R. She will be fantastic. Love her!

Until I saw that picture I had completely forgot that Marcy and Genie probably know each other pretty well from Y&R and I think they even shared scenes.

I believe that Emme is her real name, and Marcy is her middle name.

I don't think Marcy (there is no way I'm calling her that) Rylan is asexual. I do think she is way, way overhyped for her skill set. I think she's fun and sweet in measured doses. And I think GL and Y&R overused her in a series of lame stories which DC too often pretended were the second coming. She's a decent young actress - she's not Genie Ann Francis circa 1978. And she stuck out like a sore thumb on Y&R while the DC crew sang hosannas and acted like she was the capstone for a new Y&R century - she was awkward as hell on that show. And too old for what they made her play.

I do, actually, think she'd be a perfect recast for Lulu, because she has a sense of whimsy and fun which Julie Berman quite simply lacks. At least she won't be so consistently morose. Whatever one can say about Rylan, she'll give that character life. I'm for it.

Sooooo much THIS! Well well said. I agree with everything. I AM a tiny concerned it will be like having two Maxie's but I'm open to seeing Rylan in the role. Maybe Lulu will look like she actually enjoys life and has a personality.

The one who wised up for once and let her annoying ass go and only brought her back on a recurring basis to be plucked by another show. biggrin.png

GH needs to stop stealing actors that the Bell soaps NEED. angry.png

I do miss the days when Y&R kept the same actors in key roles for decades. That era has faded, so I'm glad Marcy is getting a contract role. I'm not sure this is the best spot for her, but I'll take it.

Uhh... The one she's been on for the past 3 years?

When then YR shouldnt have fired her & only brought her back in a recurring role. She was smart to grab that contract at GH

If Y&R had any serious use for Abby, they would have given Emme a contract when they brought her back. Y&R considered her disposable so she went to a show that offered a contract giving her and her family security.

Btw, I love the name "Emme." Is this really her first name? Why on earth would she use Marcy as her stage name all these years?
