Worst Soap Stan Wars of all Time?

BAM vs. Lianca

I don't know if it was bad on SON, but I remember it was really bad elsewhere. Don't mess with lesbians. blink.png

Also, +1 to the MediaDomain love. It was the first soap board I ever visited...and many of the threads were totally hilarious. There also was a poster, I think the name was 'lilpoke', that use to draw these really cool & funny pictures of AMC characters (I think she did OLTL and GH, too).

If the Internet had been around back then, I wonder if there would have been Alan/Monica/Rick/Lesley fan wars.

I feel the same about Adam/Nicole/Brandy (or "Nadam v. Bradam") on THE EDGE OF NIGHT. If that had occurred with the Internet in existence, 1) you know Donald May (Adam) would have had a Twitter account, and 2) you know he would have baited the hell out of Bradam fans, too.

Wow, for some reason, I'm feeling sorry for Maeve McGuire (Nicole) for all the grief Dixie Carter's (Brandy) fans "gave" her, even though this is all mythic and hypothetical. Strange, isn't it?

And Dixie Carter would have had viewers during her Designing Women days giving her crap about being

"that trollop DA" from The Edge of Night, guaranteed.

What the wackos put poor Jen Lilley through. She had to put out a Twitter plea for them to stop. I know I am hard when chit does not go my way on a soap, but I can't imagine harrassing or stalkish vile behavior that would cause someone to fear for their lives.

it was very classy and cool of Storms to fully support her and tell people if they were really her fans they wouldnt bash or be mean to her and to show her some respect.

then she turned around and lost that "class" when her and Fath started mocking JL fans

No, not really. Because that overly emotional, poor me pitty me JL goodbye video was one of the most ridiculous things ever and her annoying ass fangirl attacking Kirsten and name calling was unnecessary as was JL trying to spread around GH wanted to keep her when FV told her time after time she was doing great but out when Kirsten was able to return.

I loved Lilpoke's cartoons. That was the first time I'd experienced the phenomenon of having someone I "knew" online pass away. (IIRC, she died in a car accident.) It was strange to miss someone I'd never met.

I must've missed the entire gist of it, but I thought the JL backlash was simply a bunch of Minnie Mouse Storms stans complaining on social media/message boards. I'm seeing CH mentioning "wackos", so I guess it's safe to guess that it was a lot more serious than that...?

Why would Kirsten Storms fan attack a sub? Wasn't the other actress just filling in until KS returned from her leave of absence?

Nuke-fans vs LuRe-fans during the last months of ATWT.

Although I think they were somewhat united in the end in common hatred towards Goutman/Passanante for the way all three characters were treated.

How did you guys even know that she had passed away? That's the thing about online friends. If you don't hear from them, you don't know whether it is because they are taking a hiatus or something happened. I also had an online soap friend to pass away. Some people that she knew in real life were also on the boards and told us.

Apparently, JL posed enough of a threat during that brief time for her to go down that route.

Not really.

At first the tweets were simple, like "dont like nuMaxie. bring back realMaxie" then JL started tweeting back at everyone and searching her name ala Muchney and that made it blow up.

*sigh*

At the end of the day, what's done is done.

Still don't think that Ducklips Fath had room to rag on anyone's fans, though...

They're both pretty insufferable (as the character). As a newer regular viewer of GH, their cutesy quirks and antics are not adorable AT. ALL. Fast-forward!
