This first episode makes me realize how much I hated Claire Labine's caricature writing for Lucy 80% of the time. I don't think Labine ever quite had a gasp on this character and wrote her as being stupid and outrageous for the sake of being so a lot of the time.

I loved Lucy like that though. She was just so funny.

Poor Lucy. Thinking that her beloved pet duck Sigmund may get eaten. Thanksgiving is a baaaaad day for a duck to get out of the house.

I think I'm the only one in soap viewer land that liked Katherine Bell (namely, when she slung her smug bitchery around the Qs and Lucy).

Dr. Steve Hardy! Makes me both sad and mad that this show didn't even bother to cultivate a worthwhile patriarch to read to the kids at Christmastime after John Bernadino died and showkiller Guza fired Stuart Damon.

Dr Kevin! Man, I miss this GH...

Lucy's one character I think had her best writing and characterization in the 80's/pre-Labine era.

Luke when he was a worthwhile character that actually cared about his family.

The Labine/Riche era was truly the best that this show has had over the past 20 years. As much as I do appreciate Cartini for attempting to take GH back to pre-Guza/JFP/Frons fuckery, I'd gladly trade them for Labine/Riche in a heartbeat if ABCD decided to bring the latter team back.

Oh look, it's the boring as hell Keesha (I never understand people who want that sleeping pill back).
