GH: John Ingle has passed

Leslie Charleson (Monica) has released this statement: "He was genuinely interested in people and everything that was going on.... His dressing room door was always open, and many of us would find our way there to pick his brain and, in turn, he would lend an ear and offer his wisdom. Always the professional, after his first surgery he was worried about whether 'Edward' would wear a cap. I for one, will miss that cap, because he wore it well. But above all I will miss him, and especially his wonderful smile."

OTOH, we could take it to 1994, where I'm Blair and you're Luna tongue.png .

It's on cool.pngraspberry.gif , I'll punch you like Luna did in Atlantic City (just please don't run me over with a car). and yes I feel bad that we've hijacked this thread too. Sorry!

That's a lovely statement from Leslie- when I heard the news, I immediately thought of her, Stuart Damon, and Jane Elliot and how hard it must be for them.

So sad to hear John Ingle has passed....I had the pleasure of working with him, but mostly learning from him, for many years.

Favorite picture with John Ingle, back in 96. No one was kinder. Will miss him dearly. Rest in peace dear John&Grace.

I didn't realize Stuart was sick as well! That's so sad, I hope he's okay. Lesie, Stuart and Jane were also the first people I thought of when I heard this news.

Stuart's 75 now & a diabetic. It's starting to take a toll on him, and John's death isn't helping.

MrQ how do you know them?

Anyway, I have teared up reading some of these actor comments. John Ingle was one of the best actors on GH and he seems to have been universally loved.

Jason47 I think it's so classy of you to have such a section on John through his work on DAYS. He was best known for GH but DAYS did take him and showcase him when GH stopped caring.

I was just thinking about him on Saturday this is very sad. I wish this would mean a ton of characters could come back for his funeral but I know it wont

I also remember him from an episode of The Golden Girls, he was one of Miles' snooty colleagues. And also from Death Becomes Her

, where he gave Bruce Willis' character's eulogy at the end of the film

I know most people hated the Mickey/Bonnie pairing, but I thought John Ingle & Judi Evans were a hoot together in scenes.
