I was looking for an appropriate place to post this and thought, hey Vivica A. Fox is an ex-soap star (Y&R, Generations), so let me slide this here.

This clip is making the rounds: Vivica co-hosts “Cocktails with Queens” alongside Claudia Jordan, Syleena Johnson, and LisaRaye. For LisaRaye’s birthday, her co-hosts decided to surprise her with an appearance from her sister Da Brat, who had gone public with her engagement to a woman earlier this year, ending years of speculation about her sexuality.

The surprise appearance didn’t go so well (not because of Da Brat’s coming-out):

Max Ehrich is currently embarrassing himself on social media begging for Lovato to take him back after all his thirst posts over other pop idols, followed by doing the whole poor me/"I'm moving on!!" thing and taking jabs back. Dude is a fool. I'd still take him back as Fen though.

Oh cringe, lol. Dude needs to get busy writing a song or something. I have to admit that I had no idea he was dating any one person because the last time I saw anything from him he seemed to be crushing on one or two other ladies, none of whom were Lovato. When that engagement post first made the rounds, I immediately jumped to the conclusion that it was a pandemic relationship. Two people who didn't have much else to do and became each other's 'thing to do'.

Having said all that, I also would like to see him back at Y&R.

Y&R has been salivating over his social media following as that is their main criteria these days, so it seems.

He is talented but receipts have been pulled that he has been trying to latch himself to a Disney girl (Selena, Demi, etc.) for the longest.

Demi wasn't even his first choice. He was originally thirsting after her ex-BFF/enemy, Selena.

It's just embarrassing b/c I do think he could've easily became the next "it" thing based off his talent alone and the right pilot/movie screenplay.

Maybe he'll spin this negative into a positive.

Come to think of it, I do remember seeing a couple tweets about Selena Gomez. I don't follow Ehrich but I did check on soap actors, every now and then to see what they are up to if I read about a project that mentions them in one of the entertainment trade blogs. And then there was that stalking incident, which hopefully is no longer a concern. Not sure why Lovato would get together with someone who had been so stuck on a frenemy but they both seem sort of needy. When Y&R wanted him, he was in the midst of that stalking situation. Hopefully that has been resolved, so maybe he can have another crack at a stint with Y&R because he needs something productive to do.

Welp. I guess what he needs is therapy, rather than a run on a soap.

Renée Elise Goldsberry (OLTL) is co-starring with Sara Bareilles on Girls5eva, Tina Fey’s new Peacock comedy about members of a girl group from the 1990s who get back together for another shot at stardom. I love this concept. Shades of the recent Xscape reunion made into a Bravo series.

Tuc Watkins (David Vickers, OLTL) and Andrew Rannells are celebrating a year together (publicly) as a couple. They started dating when they were doing The Boys in the Band’s Broadway run (the film adaptation is now on Netflix).

    • It really is ridiculous how happy episodes from 40 years ago make me. God, MKA is so young!
    • Holy sh.it. THAT was a damn soap opera. I’m at a loss for words for how good that was.
    • A private elevator penthouse with a spiral staircase to the primary suite.  Sign me up! The only deficit was that various riff-raffs seemed to have easy access to the elevator.

    • Same here.  Anyone who voluntarily left Margo's penthouse set (except to go overseas or to Heaven) was immediately on my blacklist.  lol.

    • The penthouse was my favorite set... and it changed hands from Margo to Draper/April to Miles/Nicole then to just Miles... before he opted to give that beautiful place for that drab house with the even more drab Beth.  That was a jump the shark moment for me LOL
    • The storyline April and Draper are involved in during the summer/autumn of 1979 seems fairly "benign" but soon turns very serious.  April has a VERY intrusive, wealthy mother (Margo Huntington Dorn).  Margo knows that April and Draper (who've recently had a miscarriage and are theoretically never going to be able to conceive another baby) want to buy a house.  Margo hoodwinks them into buying a house they can't afford.  The house is listed at $100,000 (about $400,000 in today's dollars).  Margo pays the first $35,000 and leads Draper to believe the asking price of the house is $65,000 instead of $100,000.  If Draper finds out his meddling mother-in-law paid 1/3 of the cost of the home and tricked him, he'll be mad as hell.   Meanwhile, Draper has received a job offer from a prestigious New York law firm.  Margo pulls some strings and has the senior partner in the firm rescind the offer, to keep April in Monticello.  If Draper finds out about THAT, he'll be even angrier with Margo than he will be about the house trickery.  All of that is "bubbling under the surface" in the fall of 1979 but will be the next major story, as everything begins to spiral out of control.   Yep, you've got the Karrs and their very basic middle-class house, the Victorian-themed place where Miles and Nicole live, April and Draper's old craftsman house with the exposed beams, the Madisons & their Mission revival house, and Margo with her 1970s-chic penthouse.  Each of the sets is completely different.  And their budget was like zero, lol.
    • It felt weird and out of place.  I get it. While I agree with those on here that say he's gotten better, it's still really bad. I'm not seeing the "good" acting some see...but I'll give him a B for being better than when he first started. There's potential. I'll leave it at that.
    • It's like watching paint dry at a slow-ass pace. It's bad acting. Entirely. Excellent? With Claybon? Never. Ever.
