May 20, 201114 yr Member Wow, great for OLTL... bad for everyone else! OLTL was #2 in total viewers on Friday, beating everyone except Y&R and was ahead of GH by almost 450,000 viewers. That's a LOT. There were a few weeks OLTL would best GH by a few thousand, but not this much. Considering in most most OLTL falls between AMC and GH, to be the #1 of the 3 is quite a feat... I think some of the increase can be attributed to RH's return on Friday and the build up to then. They haven't done much with it so we'll see if the uptick can be sustained. I think the show has been pretty good lately (not much James/Starr thankfully!) and have been enjoying it. Clearly they canceled OLTL prematurely... but oh well.
May 20, 201114 yr Member Maybe it's just my opinion, that no matter what mediocre or crappy storytelling we as OLTL viewers endure for most of the year, you can mostly count on the show garnering a good amount of viewers for a major event.

May 21, 201114 yr Member I don't know if the ice queen and crazy eyes would be suited to those types of roles. The Match Game they wouldn't do because they have no use for their soap actors. It would either be all regular people or a few washed up standup comedians. My guess is if Frons go, so do they. If he stays, then Budig will end up in some type of healthy living panel/consultant role on Revolution, and Mathison would be an occasional fill in reporter on GMA or something. She's dating some ABC big shot executive so I think Budig will be OK
