The collector was given these episodes by Rosemary Prinz to convert from tape to DVD. I wonder if she knows he’s trying to profit from this.

I’ve had the best people send me DVD copies of vintage soap stuff for free and I was always so appreciative and was willing to cover shipping costs, blank DVD costs, etc. Most refused to accept. There is a kindness to share among collectors.

I’m just turned off by the business aspect here. I’d love to see all his stuff. I won’t buy it though. Maybe I’m alone in feeling this way.

Not to continue the train off-topic too much, but I've interacted with the buyer before. He is a very fair man from my experiences and has a genuine passion for the genre. I would highly recommend him. For many years, he was a trade only individual when I first started on soap message boards in the late 1990s. I think not wanting to buy from someone is fine, but I don't think this is an unreasonable person. It's not like the asking price is incredible high or the market for this is incredible big. Also, he did at one time post on this board.

Also, from my understanding, this episode isn't for sale, unlike "The Secret Storm" episode. I've only seen him offer to trade it with someone for this "All My Children" episode.

I am always happy to see new material find its way out in the open. Eventually, this makes its way into the public sphere once it enters the market.

I think it's one thing to sell eps you recorded. It's getting them from a performer who wanted them transferred for posterity and then turning around and selling copies on the market yourself that I take issue with. YMMV.

Maybe that was a typo.  It should be Anne Tyler Martin.

Do you supposed someone tried to OCR scan an old typed document and it couldn't read the lettering properly?  I assume the Maryin was a typo for Martin.

Maybe scanning turned "Tyler" into "St Cyr"?  But that's unlikely.

Anne, daughter of Dr. Charles Martin and Phoebe, was married to Joe Martin's brother Paul Martin.

I found this cool page from something ....  They tried typing or scanning it and accidentally typed Anne's brother as "Line" when it should be "Linc".
This is a good summary of the early characters: (from when the old days when I watched AMC

2009 interview with William Mooney who played Paul Martin

I haven't read all 576 pages of this SON AMC thread so I don't know if this interview has been posted (It probably has):
2010 interview with Judith Barcroft:
Part one:  https://www.welovesoaps.net/2010/02/catching-up-with-judith-barcroft-part-1.html
Part two:  https://www.welovesoaps.net/2010/02/catching-up-with-judith-barcroft-part-2.html

This is wikipedia on Kate Martin (Joe and Paul's mother).
It's wikipedia with no sources so unreliable!  so take it with a bucket of salt.  But it's interesting in that mentions Anne and Paul.  (but no idea if any of that is accurate.)

Oops that was my own typo. Should have been Martin.

It is my understanding that Anne was  married at least once before the show began - to a gentleman with the surname St Cyr, he was a count or some sort of low level royalty. Can anyone verify that, or am I just imagining?

The whole Philip paternity thing had to come out in the first 6 months before Rosemary left.

Otherwise they probably could have got more mileage from it. Did it matter much to Phil after the initial reveal?

Amy never returning was odd really. Even a recast a few years on would have been acceptable to explore that relationship more.

I always thought that Ellen Shepherd could have been rewritten as Amy Tyler.
