September 30, 201114 yr Member Are the McCain Bros people I'm meant to know? Never saw Laura's funeral before. So sad--and just how soap funerals shoul dbe done and rarely are now. Edited September 30, 201114 yr by EricMontreal22
September 30, 201114 yr Member I haven't watched the clip yet but I kept wondering if they were related to John McCain.
September 30, 201114 yr Member McCain brothers - guys from a local ABC station in Oklahoma. The clip kinda makes it obvious. I most liked seeing the outside of AMC's original studio.
September 30, 201114 yr Member Rosemary Prinz insisted that the character of Amy be an activist of some sort. How deep did these stories go?
September 30, 201114 yr Member She certainly seemed to mention it in every episode lol--but I know some criticized it saying it was just dialogue tacked on to a normal soap story. That photo most be a posed shot for magazines.
October 1, 201114 yr Member McCain brothers - guys from a local ABC station in Oklahoma. Well, they were from a local station; Butch & Ben McCain, better known as Thing One and Thing Two, left KOCO eons ago after the Good Lord saw fit to cancel their early-morning program, "Good Morning Oklahoma." Those kerntry-ass s.o.b.'s used to annoy me so damned much.
October 3, 201114 yr Member On second thought... never mind. Were you going to mention how Phoebe looked into the camera at the beginning of the first clip? SOD praised AMC for giving Phoebe that line about Ann. Wow. Enough cannot be said about Julia Barr's work in that second clip. Knowing she had a young daughter of her own must have given her plenty to draw upon. The sight of that little cream casket and all of those cream roses is just too much, so sad yet beautiful. The last time I remember seeing Laura was when she was being naughty and lying to an adult (the last shot of the scene was her crossing her fingers behind her back). I'm trying to remember if that was her fibbing to Barbara about going across the street, because I remember my mom telling me that she was killed soon after that. Was Sean still on the show at this point or did he just come back for the funeral? Seeing Frankie, Scott, and Bobby again makes me wish they had reestablished these kids' friendship as adults. Amy's a good artist. I like the bird on her protest sign. LOL I think it's a Hawks vs. Doves reference.
October 3, 201114 yr Member I think Sean had returned to the show around this time, and didn't have a lot to do for a while.

October 4, 201114 yr Member It was 2009 via Randi's webcam at the Yacht Club: "Goonies never say die!"
