September 29, 201114 yr Member Ruth certainly moved up in the world, marrying a doctor and all. In that pic she looks like Beatrice Arthur in Maude!! LMAO! Yeah, that hair!
September 29, 201114 yr Member I love the way Erica looks in that first scene with Jack (who is looking very Phil Hartman in the SNL spoof). Susan sounds like she has a bit of a cold when she sits down with Jenny. She looks like she's dressed for the Budapest remote with Dimitri.
September 29, 201114 yr Member OMG I'm done at the hip hop guys in the audience gleefully clapping for Julia Barr. Damn 90s. LOL, and I found 9:12 really funny for some reason... Susan's face when the woman says, "I have a question for Julia Barr." And WTH, Susan's giving autographs at commercial breaks (12:25)? Very cute.
September 29, 201114 yr Member I really miss Donahue. I think Anderson is trying to model his show on him--what with the audience questions, and the mix of topical serious issues with 'fun" episodes.

Yeah, she does sound a bit hoarse. I have a feeling this was after that infamous scene with Adam in the hotel room. I remember her saying that she lost her voice after doing that. I haven't seen Anderson's new show, and I hate to admit this, but I went back on my vow and watched about 30 seconds of that ridiculous food show today. Oh, brother. I kid you not - I rather slam my thumb in a car door than endure a full hour of that sh!t. I say this even if it hadn't replaced AMC. It was so bad. I switched over to Nate Berkus. It wasn't the best, but he had Carson Kressley on today to co-host. They should hire him permanently; he was pretty funny and had chemistry with Nate. I liked when he said to the overly excited woman he was doing the makeover for, "Drink your juice, Shelby!". Haha! My bf totally didn't get the Steele Magnolias reference. ugh
September 29, 201114 yr Member I'm pretty mixed on Anderson as I said in the talk show thread (I think)--and don't feel too bad, I saw about 15 mins of The Chew today as well. I think it helps me get out my frustrations at getting annoyed at it... Nate needs someone to energize his show. I like him fine, but I'm pretty surprised his show was renewed--it just feels so not ready to me still. And I hope you told your bf for shame!

September 29, 201114 yr Member I think that was a waste. Even now I'd like to see PP consider asking Rosemary Prinz back - Amy could have a secret that would unlock the next chapter of the Martins. (I know she's not actually a Martin, but still)
September 29, 201114 yr Member Amy should have been referenced along the way.Maybe, she dies and her daughter comes to live with Joe and Ruth. Edited September 29, 201114 yr by Paul Raven
