January 22, 201115 yr Member AMC cut nobody. Technically, AMC hasn't had to cut anybody because they're all willingly jumping ship: Kane, Wittrock, Egan plus Canary's retirement last year.

January 22, 201115 yr Member I don't understand why the hell Jamey just won't say which soap it is. His stupid little hint "it ain't in NYC" really irritated me. What will he get out of keeping quiet?

What will he get out of keeping quiet? LOL, well I guess he was letting people know it's not, well.....you know. I'm with you. I don't see the point of mentioning it if you're not going to just come out and say which show it is.
January 22, 201115 yr Member I don't mind the repeats at all. Over the holidays it got really anoying because on top of the normal ones I think there was an extra one somewhere. It sort of interrupts the flow, having the show in fits and starts. I would think it would be better to go out with a bang and a huge cliffhanger end of July and then take a full month off. Like season finales.

January 22, 201115 yr Member A month is too long, they could lose even more viewers than they already are losing. I think two weeks in August would be better so we could more episodes around Christmas time. And Jamey just added another hint "it isn't the only soap on their network" What an ass. As if anyone was seriously considering it being DAYS.
January 22, 201115 yr Member And Jamey just added another hint "it isn't the only soap on their network" What an ass. As if anyone was seriously considering it being DAYS. Now I'm even more convinced that it's GH. Whenever he had a rumor about AMC being in danger he smugly announced it on the podcast or on the blog since it somehow meant OLTL would be safe. I hate this teasing crap though, just come out and say it!
January 22, 201115 yr Member I think it's GH as well. At least GH has a budget to cut, AMC and OLTL doesnt. I swear GH has a new set daily for no friggin' reason whatsoever. That pisses me off. I was watching GH the other day for the first time in a while and every single set was new since the last time I had watched semi-regularly (which was not that long ago). I still think it's AMC because I think Jamey would be somewhat more understanding of that GH firing if he knew GH's budget had just been slashed by 50%. But he is still ranting incessantly about it. Like season finales. Good idea! That's closer to the telenovela model which would be good. Plus a significant break would make it easier to close out and abandon stories that aren't working. January 22, 201115 yr Member PC never seemed to abandon bad stories in their book format. On soaps today they seem more likely to abandon good.

Like season finales. I think that would kill them. People would either tune into soaps on a different network, or they would discover Law and Order reruns on TNT and never tune back in.
