I would argue that changing actors mid-scene feels like a production choice not a writing choice.  We often confuse the two roles, perhaps because primetime is filled with producer/writers, but in Marland's time the division of duty was pretty clear.

They changed actors because JB was discovered to be HIV positive. At that time the public didn't know in what other ways it could be spread.

Thank you for the context, but doesn't that confirm that this was a production choice and not a writing choice?

I don't know if anyone would argue it was a writing choice as we know the  circumstances of this recast.

I have a feeling EF will spill a lot of tea.

Many of her co stars are watching and a special message from Shawn Christian ex Mike Kasnoff #1

He couldn't help himself...

Two "That's crazy" in a row from Alan.  And a lot of WOWs..

I just wish there were a better host/interviewer to focus this, but I guess for someone who's never read about Fulton or seen/read any interviews these are brand new insights. The photo of Lisa and Earl is a nice touch. More photos and some clips would probably help.

Still, it's very nice to see Ms. Fulton. Worth putting up with Alan.

I wish one of her co stars would pop up and moderate it. Its great seeing EF but the interview by Alan is an epic failure so far.

Another...That's crazy from Alan...that's three now...

Alan didn't even know the name of Lucinda newspaper.

I don't even know how much  Eileen is interested in more detailed interviews - this feels more like her just wanting to relive some fun old times, which is alright with me. There had been years of fan worry about her - a decade. I hope this might lead to more for Eileen and if it takes a place she felt comfortable with I can go along with it.

    • I would say KKL was somewhat better and had more range and emotion. Hunter was good in therapist mode but fairly unconvincing whenever she had to get emotional. Sadly I think both of them regressed acting-wise in later years (possibly as a result of the direction and/or writing). But neither of them would even make my top 5 list of the best actresses on B&B. Possibly not even my top 10 list.
    • He's been Deputy Chief Baker since 2018. In his appearances from 1997 through September 2017, the character Bradley Baker was known as Lieutenant Baker. His next appearance was in March 2018 when his promotion and new title were announced. Within the first two minutes of the March 9, 2018 episode: Detective Sanchez congratulates him on his promotion. Baker replies: "Thank you. This is my first attempted murder investigation as Deputy Chief of Police." And the closed captioning for all his dialog lines in that episode labels his lines as "Dep. Chief Baker". Dan Martin's IMDB reflects this change, too. In the June 2022 episodes, the closed captioning labels(prefaces) each of his lines as just plain "Baker". But in the June 17. 2022 episode, he answers the phone saying his name as "Deputy Chief Baker".
    • Well, it was Paul Michael Valley's choice but he made it because he was furious with JFP for firing Chris Tucci on JFP's first day at AW. Tucci & PMV were an item then. I wholeheartedly agree about Paulina. Jake all the way! I'd go over that cliff with them again tomorrow! Vicky & Shane, okay. Vicky & Grant very okay. And, I've mentioned him but what about Evan? I still think Vicky & Amanda could have squared off over Evan. And, Jamie is never a bad idea. The thing about Tommy is that he was a good friend, a good scene partner & full of chemistry with all those dames! But, Tommy was more successful with the ladies than Jake was! • I really enjoyed Ms. Wu on today's show. She was fabulous with the way that she handled Morgan's Fairchild's character when she was threatening to sue Deception. Ms. Wu is such a strong no-nonsense lady who will handle things quickly before they get out of control. And I like that lol. Sasha's meltdown was definitely a very rough moment for her, but I liked the way Ms. Wu came in to clean things up once Lucy/Morgan's child started arguing with each other. I also liked Lucy/Morgan's character Haven squaring off with each other too. The scenes with those ladies were the best scenes of today for me.  I also liked the scenes where Nina got emotional about seeing Sasha's meltdown on live tv. (And Sonny comforting her afterwards).
