I like Scott but he does seem kinda pointless. He's more of a lovable doofus but not really leading man material. I say recast him or get back David Cosgrove in the role.

I agree. Daniel Cosgrove was my favourite Scott and the only one who really caused me to connect with the character. Shane McDermott was bland.... and Forbes March I felt was OK, but nothing substantial.

Cosgrove is overrated IMO, and I see nothing wrong with Adam Mayfield. Yeah, he's definitely not leading male material, but he's got great chemistry with everyone in the Chandler family and always delivers a solid performance. Plus, I've never seen Scott as anything more than a supporting character. JR is the one who should be a lead. But because he keeps getting written like a whiny, ungrateful brat, and Jacob Young is such a weak and lazy actor, he'll never be able to be one unless they recast and stop with the "Adam ruined me!" bull s.hit and give the character an edge and some balls.

I don't remember Cosgrove ever having anything to do. He was brought in to "hunkify" the show, but the romance with Laura stalled almost immediately and frankly, Laura was not a character who worked in any type of grand romance. She and Scott worked as sweet kids, with McDermott in the role. Then he was a side player for Gillian and Kelsey until he finally left. I thought the whole thing was a waste of time.

Forbes March was wooden and pointless.

Adam Mayfield is adequate, but not a lot else. The Scott/Annie makeout scenes, as she uses Adam and his money, left a black mark on both characters in my eyes. Otherwise Scott just seems like a somewhat cold and sometimes judgmental presence.

I think Scott could be an interesting character if they made an effort and if they had someone to contrast him. Not rivalry, contrast. That's one of the reasons the attempt at a JR/Scott rivalry fell flat for me because both characters were far too generic or damaged to justify the tension, and they didn't have enough history together.

I think the show would be better off bringing on Ross and his children and writing out JR and Scott.

I guess shame on me, but I had NOOOO idea that Colby hadn't a clue that her own brother had cancer. Where the HELL have I been?? How on earth did she just find this out today?

Other than Ryan failing at kicking down the door, I was kinda surprised that they had J.R. whimper to Mabe, "Hold me, just hold me. :,(" I'm all for men being vulnerable, but that just... yeah, surprised me.

I didn't really notice yesterday, but today's show...the show really looks 100% better! It's much wider and not so contrived. I literally feel more relieved as I watch now LOL. Everything is so much more expansive. I love that Fusion has that little hallway now...everything is so spread out, I love it.

This puzzled me:Erica was talking to Kendall on the phone. Ok, great. Maybe I'm thinking into this to much, but Erica went public with her relationship with Ryan the previous day. I'm sure Zach and Kendall have picked up a newspaper, turned on the TV, went online?? And yet Kendall had nothing to say about it on the phone?! Ok, maybe that's being saved for the February 9th episode where AM pre-taped some scenes, otherwise I find that to be idiotic!! I want to hear what Kendall has to say about it.

I am losing respect for Jessie, to. He was standing RIGHT in David's home, and he heard Ryan admit to breaking into David's earlier..and yet Jessie, PV's Chief of Police, did nothing about it!! I love Jessie, but he is a crappy arse cop. And also, he is at every crime scene, anything that happens in PV, Jessie is there. I really hate him as the Police Chief!

Way to go Madison for showing Randi how things are done around Fusion. Randi doesn't stand a chance against Maddie And did I mention that I love that new Hallway that they put in Fusion?

The JR cancer stuff was good...Jacob Young really surprised me with his performance today, I hope he keeps this up. NuColby, I'm not sure about her reaction to finding out about the cancer, though..it was good, but kind of...idk. But I didn't see one tear come out of her eyes! Also I like Natalie Hall's new hair style, it makes her look more relaxed and natural.

As much as I like David & Greenlee and LOVE the idea of them together against the arrogant hypocrites of Pine Valley, I'm terrified of getting invested in them. This show has worshiped at the altar of Ryan Lavery for so long and Frons seems so obsessed with Rylee that I can't imagine this ending well for David or the current Greenlee, who actually has a brain and a spine and is using both. She'll have neither if they turn her back into a Ryan-bot. It's bad enough watching Erica Freaking Kane in Ryan-bot mode. I don't need to see her and LobotomizedGreenlee fighting over his worthless ass.

If I thought Rylee was done and that David had a chance of actually finding happiness with Greenlee, I'd be as excited as the rest of you. I'm just not convinced that this is going to end up somewhere good for David. It has "David falling for/getting obsessed with Greenlee" and her leaving him for Ryan written all over it. Who knows though. I just tend to think that as long as Frons has Rylee at his disposal, they'll never be over.

LOL. Rylee I think is neccesary for closure, but that doesn't have to mean them getting back together romantically. Maybe they will both grow a brain and realize how toxic they are to each other and to everyone else in their orbit when they are together. I want to see Greenlee free to explore. The one downside to AMC in HD: Jake's eyeliner is now so beyond obvious that it practically punches you in the face.
