November 5, 200916 yr Member The absence of Ashley -- though I understand it -- is tragic. Survivors talking to survivors is an amazing process. But if we remember Ash had chemo and radiation, we'll remember (even BEYOND Robert) that Ashley could not/should not/would not have gotten pregnant again. (Chemo stimulates menopause, especially in breast cancer women of Ashley's age). And we couldn't be reminded of that, could we? I don't think Ashley's fertility rewrites are involved with this decision. If anything this could have been used for her miracle baby delusions. "I was able to have a child even after I battled cancer -- you can do the same, Lily." I just don't think they care about friendship or family. It's easier to isolate Ashley in her own bubble. Just as it's easier for Lauren to be nowhere when her close friend Paul goes through hell.
November 5, 200916 yr Member Really? Paul said that. That infuriates me. It infuriates Mr. Davidson, too. I believe the exact quote is "It was the biggest mistake of my life". Now that type of scene is what I call frustrating. At least have Paul acknowledge that he has a son and tell Nina why that situation is different.

I'm not neglecting Olivia, but accepting brimike's assumption that they can't afford her. But OF COURSE Olivia would be great...she had THE SAME cancer! ETA: If they can't afford Olivia, why even bring her back??? It's like laying out a treat and then pulling it away. Edited November 5, 200916 yr by MarkH

November 5, 200916 yr Member I'm not neglecting Olivia, but accepting brimike's assumption that they can't afford her. That's the thing. TPTB CAN afford her but choose not to use her. ETA: If they can't afford Olivia, why even bring her back??? *cough*agenda*cough*

November 5, 200916 yr Member He did with Heather but TPTB want to have it both ways like with Jack. It's sad that Nick and Victor are the only older men who are allowed to have children. Victor is going to keep having children even when he's mummified with Nikki, Ashley, or some poor unsuspecting young thing humping him. Edited November 5, 200916 yr by lovely_m
November 5, 200916 yr Author Member You don't suppose Lily could die, do you? It would fit with the death motif, and could be a "gripping" Sweeps storyline. Am I wrong to hope? I can't believe I just typed that....

November 5, 200916 yr Member I'm not sure if I'm ready for Billy yelling over her hospital bed and telling everyone she was the love of his life...
