Oh wow. I didn't realize that was Olympia Dukakis until you pointed it out, @DRW50. Never knew she was on SFT.

That's Paige Turco too isn't it? Also, isn't that little boy the same one that played Jonathan Brooks on Guiding Light?

I've read so much about Warren's sister, Kristen, from recaps that I never thought I see an episode featuring her. Is this all before or after Jo gets kidnapped?

Maree Cheatham and Sherry Mathis are just fabulous. Two Southern belles that I can watch both of them all day long.

Did the actor who played Brian play on another soap? I feel like his face is familiar.

I hope more clips from the early 80s pops up.

I can't wait to hear @Vee, @MichaelGL@vetsoapfan, @Paul Raven, @amybrickwallace, @Khan, @slick jones, & @juniorz1 commentary on this episode.

This is so cool! Never thought i would get to see Rhonda Sue , Olympia Dukakis as Dr. Barbara Moreno, John Glover as Vargas and Kristen Carter. Who's Hank? Barbara seemed like a very interesting character. How long was Olympia Dukakis on SFT? Never knew SFT gave next episode previews.

Well, now that I've finished watching ...

-- Hel-lo, Michael Corbett's body.

-- Warren's office/temporary bedroom was giving me uncomfortable reminders of the third season of Batman. I guess it's more of a lighting problem than anything else, but I felt like I was watching those scenes being performed in a black box theater.

-- Was Wendy having a pregnancy scare?

-- I know the show wouldn't really go there, but when Danny started talking about Janet not approving of his best friend, I wondered if they were teasing a gay storyline.

-- Ai yi, Rhonda Sue's accent was getting on my nerves. I don't blame Stephanie for wanting her to stop talking.

-- Maree wins my crown for this episode, although Larry isn't far behind.

-- IMDB says that's Jennifer Gatti as Angela. NBA, that's indeed Damion Scheller as Joshua. Looks like he made the rounds on most of the P&G shows.

-- Sneakers off the couch, Joshua. Domesticated enough to be the family cook ...

-- Angela and Danny are so going to hook up, right?

-- What a music cue during Stu's big speech.

-- I didn't notice any line issues. Susan Scannell comes close around 30:00, but it also comes off as natural sounding.

-- That's interesting that they didn't show Liza singing. I wonder if it was planned, or a result of wanting to not overextend themselves with this episode.

-- Oof, I felt bad when the last filmed insert didn't cue as perfectly as intended.

I always get her and Dinah #2 (Paige Turco) mixed up at times even though they look nothing alike. It's b/c they played the same role on GL.

My mind went there too for a second until he said Janet wanted to uproot him to Europe and that's why.

Thanks for posting.

There's always been doubts about the 'lost tape' excuse, but it did get them some publicity.

Maybe they should have done a live week to tie in with an anniversary instead. It would have been cool if they could get Lynn Loring to appear as Patti. That would have generated a lot of publicity.

Joanna Lee had some good ideas but didn't last long enough to see them through.I wonder why?

Cain DeVore. He was also on OLTL as Chip Cooper, a love interest of Connie O'Neill, and ATWT as Lance Whittaker during the Lily on the run story in '87.

He co-starred with John Stamos and Jami Gertz on "Dreams" in 1984...  Two guest stars on that show...Lilibet Stern ((Y&R) and Katherine Kelly Lang (pre-Gretchen, Y&R, Brooke, B&B, Y&R)

    • I have to admit I still have a nagging complaint about timelines - Why aren't we allowed to know how long Ted and Nicole have been married or how old Kat and Eva are? Or for that matter, when Anita last released an album? BTG is a new show with no SORAS or timewarping. MVJ and Guza are working from a fresh bible. There is no need to be so coy about ages and anniversaries, especially when most of the storylines are driven by past events.
    • It was an extremely rare interview even then - I was shocked when I read it (as mentioned I'd forgotten just how far in she went).  Malone was clearly hobbled by NBC and P&G, but re-using so many of his old stories and his soap bible instead of actually coming up with material suited to the characters or show did not help.
    • Seeing this trash get good ratings says nothing good about daytime audiences. It's embarrassing.
    • Cat does feel committed to being a goofball (the other term has been reconsidered in recent years).  I wonder, given her brother Aaron, if Cat was less attractive prior to the surgery?  Remember the 1973 movie The Girl Most Likely to?  My fanfic for the moment is Cat commenting on how people treat her differently now that she is gorgeous.  One assumes that pre-surgery, Cat never had two men fighting over her for a date.  So, it might be fun to see that side of the story.
    • It's probably one of the only conflicts the story will have, aside from Dante being upset with Lulu when the truth comes out. They really needed someone else who actually knows Gio is Dante and Brook Lyn's son and kept quiet.
    • So Cat wasn't a creation of Ron C.. but something that the strike writers generated? Perhaps the new writers will give her some layers and purpose on the show that doesn't revolve around Chad since isn't he on his way out next year?
    • Another good show today, but -- Why is super agent Joss holding that thumb drive in plain sight instead of stashing it in her denim shorts? Make it make sense. -- Dante going after Gio (in the previews) for Rocco's alcohol poisoning is lame and cliche, just a contrived way to drive a wedge between father and son.
    • Didn't he get all angry because the strike writers set her up to be Abigail? And he just went with the first thing that came to mind in order to prevent that?

    • That was an incredible interview.  I cannot imagine it ever happening with a performer currently on a soap.  I remember being extremely disappointed in Michael Malone.  I wish we had all of the backstage scoop on where things went wrong with him.
    • Go 'head, Brandon!! I was worried about this meltdown, but he's giving a pretty good meltdown. Knowing when to do it and just the right moment to pull back a bit.    These Kat vs Eva scenes. The best soap rivalry has the rivals have some empathy for the others though they dislike each other. And they are giving.    Yay! A brief SilkPress vs Dani moment.
