Look what happened to that dude on Greys. He ruined his career and he and his family were evicted from their place.

A gay from South Of Nowhere did the samething because of Spashley and i haven't heard tell of him since.

As for other soaps i'm sure Frons would pick him up for ABC soap. He sure wouldn't have to worry about any gay stuff!

Girl - I am SO upset! You just convinced me to like Adam's direction and now the actor's a total douche. If this turns into another Miss California thing, it'll be good for Y&R to get the publicity but it'll be really hurtful. I'm a gay actor, but I have str8 actor friends who would kill to get this good a role. In this economy, he quits??? I have such a problem with "moral" actors who have no problem killing, screwing everyone, and doing the worst of things on-screen only to draw the line at a same-sex KISS! I am SO sick of this crap.

I see nothing wrong with him standing up for something he believes in, even if it's something I don't agree with. If they knew this about him, but sprung on him, then I can't blame him for walking.

Sounds like the kiss is for shock value more than anything anyways :rolleyes:

Wouldn't it have just been easier for him to say to MAB and Co that "Im not comfortable playing the role like this, or it goes against my beliefs blah blah blah".

I mean wouldn't they be obligated to not push for him to do this, cause he could sue them. Its just seems strange, that this is something they would force him to do if he was against it...

IMO, if he did quit over it then its really unfortunate because unless your working for FOX News lol or the 700 Club, your gonna get vilified and screwed (look at that Ms. California...she has alienated so many people, no one but FOX News and the Organizations against gays will touch her.).

I'm more interested in how Braeden feels about Engen being unhappy with the writing for Adam even before this kiss. I think Adam was sacrificed for the big attempts at puffing up Victor which started last year after Sabrina died, and I wonder if Braeden would have rather had a strong, complex character as his son than the crazy wimp Adam has become.

It's the Roscoe Born/AMC situation times ten. In today's climate, entertainment industry and otherwise, it's a very foolish thing to do.

      Well he was cute. And we should be thankful the show has day players. It was a way of getting Dani to reveal her relationship to Andre, although not really necessary-unless he pops up again.   Harsh! I like Jacob a lot. But I think they need more depth, not just being the nice married couple with a social justice streak. As for Vern and Nita, I do find them a little overbearing at times with their posturing and entitled attitude.  And Uptown. This is where the lack of workplace sets is a problem. If more characters worked at the police staion, or Bill's office/Vanessa's etc  there would be more natural places for people to cross paths and  interact.

      Haha, I get it. I was too old when Halloweentown was popular with the kids, but I did go back and watch the first two about 6-7 years ago and actually thought Marnie was a likable lead and she was pretty good, for a movie like that. But now watching GL and seeing her as a young child, I totally get what you're saying. She's annoying haha.

      I feel bad for judging a child, but, to be fair, she's over 40 now. My daughter was into Halloweentown when it reran on the Disney Channel in the 2010s. I wasn't impressed then, either.

      Isn't that funny how certain memories as young children stick with you through life... Haha I totally get what you mean. That's how I felt with GL in the beginning, but then I got used to it. Seeing so many of my favorite AMC characters on GL was wild - Walker, Irizarry, Dusay, Budig, Aleksander, Gil Rogers, etc.  Ironically, it helps that Irizarry and Dusay played both mother/son in both shows. I know Marcy Walker was wasted on GL as Tangie, but selfishly I'm so glad she was. When she left GL and returned immediately to AMC as Liza Colby, man was it such a great storyline. The Tad/Dixie/Liza triangle was so emotional, tense and memorable. The AMC fans got lucky with that one. WRCW, Tad/Liza working together, the affair, then Jason Sheffield and the shooting on-set... all amazing stuff.   LOL!

      I remember thinking that he was fantastic after Reva's 1990 "death," with his grief and attempted relationship with Harley. I also remember the cute Marah, not the toothy chick from Halloweentown.

      I've enjoyed Vernon but I wouldn't be opposed to learning more about his life beyond his political work. What kind of family does he come from? Does he have any siblings? I feel like that could be an interesting thing to look at.
