The article's last words sum it up nicely: "Too little.  Too late."

I still have some respect for PBS (I have none for NPR or for cable or network news - well, CBS is OK, I guess), so I'm glad they haven't let me down. But so much of the media is just full of deluded, dangerous sycophants. They created Trump and he will make them pay.

Serious question--What's wrong with NPR?

NPR worked just as hard to normalize Trump as the rest of them. I'm going to enjoy watching Congress pull their funding.

Surprise! Trump was a Putin puppet all along

I'll just leave this here.

This was a coup, pure and simple. Trump didn't win the popular vote, there was rampant voter suppression and interference by a foreign power. He's truly not a legitimate president.

I've never trusted them since they helped send us to war in 2002.

U know Bernie would have gotten 1000s of millenials which did not show up for Hilary. I think a numbers of factors caused Hilary to lose. She didnt campaign as hard as Trump did in those battleground states in last days, FBI info 2 weeks before election, 3rd party voters and the african american vote didnt show up for her like Trump. I ask this question would u all rather George W Bush back? I would take Bush anyday over Trump

I would yes.

Millennial voters are notoriously fickle and deluded. I doubt it would have offset the many voters who would have never gone near Bernie Sanders.

According the the Wall Street Journal, the Obamas declined to be photographed with the Trumps after the meeting at the White House. Michelle probably told them to kick rocks!B)

@JONNYSBRO I'm surprised people still fail to take into account voter suppression as a legitimate factor. The stripping of the Voting Rights Act had a profound effect on not just the general Election but even the Primaries in the way it allowed mainly Republican headed states to eliminate many polling stations in areas that vote Democratic.  If you don't know what the Voting Rights Act is, please look that up and read about it.

The thing that really gets me is how every president going back to Nixon has had to show their tax returns and Trump managed never to be held accountable for failing to give a full account of even one single tax return.  The fact that there is a court date set for a rape trial?  No problem! Suspicians of foreign interference. Who cares?! But by all all means, let's keep focusing on e-mails.

It's funny how horrified the press and MSM (well most of it) were at the results and are now quickly trying to absolve themselves from their own complicity. Frankly I hope in some demented way the Times and CNN gets their asses handed to him by Trump along with a few other fringes. And yes NPR IMO is worthless as the NYT is. Both were complicit and celebrated leading us into a manufactured war. And still haven't paid.

Bernie would not have won either. He's a socialist jew. I say that flippantly yes but don't fool yourself into thinking that they would have used that against him. Particularly the big government aspect to target his support with mainstreamers and the anti semite aspect to appeal to the Trump base. Millenials and I am sorry to saw white women(and I am one) are worthless.

I continue to laugh at people who think Bernie would've won. This election was about one thing and one thing only: white supremacy. You think that the people are spray painting swastikas on buildings because of Hillary's emails? No. Antisemitism was rampant all through this campaign. Ask Kurt Eichenwald how Trump's movement feels about Jews.

People are burning their New Balance sneakers after the company expressed support for Trump. I admit I haven't yet read this article and one person commented that New Balance merely supported Trump's views on TPP but stresses that the company shouldn't be let off the hook.

This.

People need to get a grip too that Bernie's 'emails' would've been Socialism. Trump would've driven that home and people still would've fled to him out of fear b/c Socialism isn't an -ism they are not used to. Capitalism is.

Bigoted Trump would pushed Bernie's Jewish heritage down everyone's throats too, and you know Christian/Catholic nuts would've went bananas and refused to vote him.

Bernie was not gonna fair better than Hillary. I have to keep breaking it down to many of my friends on FB, who adamantly believe otherwise.

I haven't caught up on the most recent posts yet, but ugh... I hate that feeling when you wake up and everything is fine for about 2 seconds, and then you remember something terrible. In this case, the terrible thing being the election results.

I keep thinking of new terrible things that are going to come from this. All the poor kids that won't get universal preschool, all the young women who won't have access to abortion.  That first day I was in a state of shock, but the full weight of it is really sinking in now.

Here is an article written by a young Muslim. Very, very sad.
