Next week is going to be so freaking good with the show centering on Cain and Charity's weddings. It'll be interesting to see if either of them will.
And this week with Leyla/David/Alicia and the money was hilarious. Emmerdale has the best comedy scenes bar none.

I really like the twist of Donna using Ross. I hope she treats herself to him. She deserves a break and he's so hot.

The guy Finn with is hard to watch, physically. He looks like an alien.

So happy Charity ended up having that abortion and now she'll blame Megan for the "miscarriage" I'm sure. Can't wait. The bitch has still got it.

A short clip from Emmerdale Farm 1978, with a rare glimpse of Katharine Barker, the original Dolly Skilbeck. Most clips I've seen on Youtube have been with Jean Rogers as Dolly, so it's a treat to see the first one. This is the Dolly I remember from when I was watching the show as a child.

How was Verity Rushworth as Donna in her first run? I ask because she has been such a breath of fresh air on the show. Not only does she always knock it out of the park, but her and Ross are hot as hell. Girl is smart to get on that as her last ride. I feel so bad that any writer ever paired her with the horrible Marlon? Why waste such a babe on that ugly mug?

Sandy whizzing around in his scooter with those goggles he wears always cracks me up. I love him so much.

Diane is trying to kill Annie Sugden. Why else would she invite Debbie downer to visit her with kids? True evil.

You know, this got me thinking. Emmerdale has done such a good job destroying itself that when Sheila Mercier dies, and consequently also Annie, then they really have no way of giving her the goodbye the character deserves. The Sugdens have been so decimated that there's virtually no-one left. Annie has lost all her children (Jack, Peggy and Joe), three grand-children (Sam, Sally and Jackie), two stepgrand-children (Mark and Rachel), two daughters-in-law (Pat and Sarah) and at least one, maybe two husbands, (Leonard and probably Amos) not counting Jacob who died before the show started.

Of course, since she has so few ties left to the village, and has been gone for so long they will probably not even bother with anything anyway.....

    • A--I wish someone would post a better vid of the entire ball, as it must be out there. And B--nope. Evie is only in a small segment of the ball with Phillip, Rick and Mindy. She doesn't dance at all. Ross dances with Helena and Amanda. I'm not even sure why Evie is at the ball---Vanessa heartily disliked her. I did see that Billy actually asked Henry to introduce him to Vanessa, which I hadn't realized.
    • Honestly, they should've ordered more of 2000 Malibu Road for the 1992-93 midseason and aired it when Knots went on a break. That was probably their best shot.    Then of course they fumbled Central Park West by airing it in the 9PM slot instead of a 10PM slot where it would've been away from the Fox dramas. CPW got its best rating by airing randomly on a Sunday and when it was taken off the air for a "re-tooling", Party of Five's ratings actually had a spike, so clearly they were feeding off each other. But being a smaller network focused on a certain demographic, Fox could afford to be patient Party of Five, CBS couldn't...
    • Agree on Bruce Gray as Owen; they needed to cast star power. He was too lightweight against Kim and he had no chemistry with Frances Fischer except more gay buddy or daddy figure.  I loved Nola and Eliot together though. Lee Godart should have been longer term.
    • Andre has the worst fashion of the males which is off putting for someone as fine as he is. His jackets and sweaters look dated and no vintage does not work for him
    • I don’t recall MSW having a toy line in the late 80’s or early 90’s like all those Saturday morning cartoons did LOL but thought this was cute when I saw it in a vintage toy store yesterday:

    • Copying and pasting pasting this here as to not to derail the KL thread lol Wow I forgot CBS actually did try multiple attempts to come up with a soapy replacement for Knots on Thursday nights in the 10/9 slots for the 93-94 season.   Angel Falls had promise but CBS didn’t give it a fair chance. Latham’s Second Chances got even worse ratings than Angel Falls and wasn’t given a second chance when the Northridge quake destroyed the show’s sets. One West Waikiki looked gorgeous but was a blink you missed it affair. Finally we got Hotel Malibu, a quasi follow-up to Second Chances that stayed as the summer replacement series it was. CBS switched gears and had Chicago Hope air in the slot…against ER. It made the Top 30 but obviously underperformed below expectations. CBS gave up, and gave us 48 Hours for years there. It wasn’t until the 2002-03 season when CBS finally produced a Top 20 show for that spot with Without A Trace against an aging ER.
    • Of course I join in on wishing that Peacock & Corday & Sony would all together come to the conclusion that NOW would be a fine time to put some of these gems in the archive on full display!!! But, at the same time I'd like to give kudos to the fact that behind the scenes they've been doing the great work of preservation by taking tapes, etc. & converting them to modern digital formats. Besides the important fact of preserving them it means they are ready to go!
