This uncredited DAYS staffer created a buzz on the internet when it was rumored she had been hired to doctor the scripts for NBC's DAYS OF OUR LIVES, after James E. Reilly left. Following that, alleged postings on various websites and a damaging NY Post interview, [s.W.S.N.B.N.] tried to clear her name with a very candid internet interview, which portrays her as someone who wants to take daytime to the next level(as many aspiring soap writers would like to do). But, fans grow tired of hearing from this uncredited "wonder" and really want to hear from anyone else but her.

Lynn Marie Latham

Latham quickly amped up the action and drama on Y&R, to many fans' pleasure and to some fans' dismay with social issue stories and sexy, fast-paced storytelling.

Cady McClain

McClain's blog revealed lots about herself, but also lots of controversy after she practically raked the "Zendall" fanbase over the coals.

News

Jimmy Reilly got ousted from his HW Seat at Days and allegedly got TOLD by Ken Corday(of all people).

SOAPnet acquired Y&R and had(IMO) one of their best marathons ever...The "Best Show" Emmys Marathon, which featured one of the two "Best Show" Emmy Submissions from GH, Y&R, GL, and ATWT.

The vet purging continues in daytime, as Julia Barr, Jill Larson, Eileen Davidson, Stuart Damon, Renee Jones(among others) are released from their contracts.

NewsCorp launches MyNetworkTV as a soapy alternative to primetime programming.

McTavish rewrite of Erica's abortion. I think that is the one story where the critics and the fans were totally agreed that it was the stupidiest soap rewrite ever.

*I would like to apologize to [s.W.S.N.B.N.] because she recently had her people email myself and this

site complaining that I talk about her too much and that I am partly responsible for all the

negative stories about her.

In truth, I am a huge fan of the woman and I only tried to "hype her up" because I was happy

to see such a different type of writer working in daytime. Diversity is at an astounding low on

the soaps and she was really like a soap character herself, she wrote wonderful episodes on

DAYS and you could tell she loved the show. I never meant to anger her, and I apologize.

Obviously I pick her as the top soap story of 2006 and I congratulate her achievement being

picked the Best Black Book of 2006.

SON itself had some pretty interesting moments:

-A certain member who made the jarring statement on here that anyone over a certain age should automatically have their contracts terminated. I think I know who it is, but I ain't naming names. I know that comment steamed up a lot of people.

-The soap insider wars at DTS which led to staff of a certain other message board publicly trashing SON and our staff online.

-The sudden number of blogs, especially DAYS blogs. First we had one, now we have like 5,500 of them.

-Ryan and Na'Vell launch In The Zone and become instant internet radio celebrities and sex symbols.
