-Renee says she was in shock at first but now it just excited. She felt the need to comment with all the talk about her exit.

-She is beloved behind the scenes and the cast and crew took it hard.

-Was not expecting to be fired and was told there would be great story with her being a Dimera. She was shocked when they told her things changed and she was out. She was told initially she was leaving at the end of December but then learned her last day of taping was December 15 and was shocked.

-Now realizes this is a good thing and is excited about it. Told Steve Wyman she has nothing but love for the show and she loves everyone. There is no animosity because they gave her so much.

-Last few weeks have been strange for her. Happy she can take a vacation and not worry about tape dates. Memorization was hard for her so she is happy she won't have to do that. December 15th (interview took place one week before her last tape date) will be a hard day for her as she is close to everyone and loves them. She says she will be a wreck and hopes she is up first so she doesn't lose focus and start balling during her final scenes. It will be hard for her.

-Feels Lexie has had a incredible ride from being a cop doing stunts, to fantasizing about her husband's brother, being a doctor within a year, to being Stefano's daughter and going bad, and then being the worst doctor on the planet and saying 11 people were dead (love this part )

-says she could never figure out why they let Lexie perform brain surgery on Austin in 1999 and Zack in 2006. She says Lexie is the worst doctor and usually she screws up or someone dies.

Renee is talented and it is so sad.

Aww Renee. I am glad she is looking forward to enjoying the new chapter in her life.

Appears that she can see the upside to this which is good and hard to do. Her talent will be missed. I hope to see her again soon, if not on Days then somewhere else.

I'm shocked so many think she'll be back. There's a lot of contradiction in the reports out there. Lexie may be back - I have my doubts about Renée, and I'm not so sure it won't be because Corday didn't try to get her back. She sounds like she's ready to move on.

I dont think she will return anytime soon. And if the character does, I suspect it could be a cheap and easy recast.

Corday's word holds no weight with me.

Awww, Renee. Her loyalty is really touching, it's interesting that a whole heck of a lot of folks that leave the show leave saying it's just the greatest place to work. There has to be a reason people stick around through bad material, I think they just really love working with each other that much. And her sense of humor about her character, funny! Maybe I won't miss Lexie, but I'll miss Renee all the same. Augh, I hate goodbyes, I'm half a country away and just the thought of it makes me sad for her and the cast. Hope good days are ahead for her.

I agree but I also am very worried about how the reports came out. First, we heard she was fired and the cast and crew were devestated and then he said it wasn't a permanent leave. I also find it weird about how they told her she would be finished at the end of December and then pushed it up to December 15. It seems like alot of this was spare of the moment and rushed because it is clear plans were changed and Lexie had story coming.

I am hoping this is like when Bryan Dattilo got fired and he returned like a year later. Maybe Corday will hold to his word for once. I love RJ and her loyalty is one of the main reasons.

So far she's still the only actor thats been fired thats really shocked and upset me..I really hope we get her back at some point next year..I will be pissed if they recast Lexie...that would be such a tasteless move by Corday...
