Forget ABCD....CBSD is in for some dire need of change

Passanate has worn out her welcome on ATWT. She obviously is incapable to carry this show by herself.

B&B while things are good these days, it's all just stunt after stunt, and all this redundacy sucks.

GL while I rarely watch, the show has lost its identity and doesn't know what the hell it's doing.

Y&R is being downgraded into something that it's not, because the messed up headwriter/EXECUTIVE producer doesn't know a thing about Y&R! And she fired the ones that DO. Idiot? Yes.

Sure CBSD may not be AS bad as ABCD, but it sure as hell is getting there, with bad decisions after bad decisions. CBSD is in desperate need of some proper vision and leadership, Ms. Bloom <_<

I totally agree DruRocks, CBSD is in trouble right now, while Y&R is still the best soap out there, it is getting worse by the day anymore, though today's show was better than most, I know it won't stay like that, it will turn back into the never ending crap that we have been seeing, where I can't even follow the storylines because they are either boring or intertwined so much I don't understand what is even going on

As for B&B yes right now it is great, but it won't last it never does

And as for ATWT, what a joke that show has become, anyone on this board could write a better soap opera that than piece of SH IT Jean P. could. that show is nothing more than a disgrace to CBSD right now. I have never in all my soap watching seen such a waste of most of a cast on a show, we only see the vets during dumb stupid weddings that never take place. not to mention there has not been a fresh storyline in ages on this show. All I is I feel for us the viewers and the actors that have to perform such crap on a daily basis.

I don't watch GL so I can't comment.

This is the truth. I still think Soaps needs fresh blood & not stale ones. I call the writers today recycle writers.

GL needs a regime change right now because the current regime is destroying this great soap.

I've not watched ATWT for a while so I can't comment (though I don't think it's going through the major rewrites and character assassination of anything on ABCD).

But I really feel that CBSD are doing things behind the scenes to keep the shows working. People complain about Brian Frons' micro management yet when Barbara Bloom takes a relatively old fashioned hands off approach, she's lambasted. All of the shows on CBSD have a lot more of their integrity intact than the other networks.

I have wished for so long for this regime to be given the boot. I can think of many writers that would be wonderful to take DK's place, but who would be a good fit as executive producer? Then again the question is who wants to write for GL?

The only CBSD show I watch is Y&R. I admit that a few months ago, things were dreadful, but it's getting better. Lately shows that I thought were gonna be boring were actually good. The one thing I don't like that LML is doing is a big stunt like the upcoming storm. While I'm sure it will have great material, it just seems so ABCD to me. The Y&R I'm used to is more character driven, not plot driven.

ITA. ATWT and GL need changes like yesterday. Passanante and Kreizman have to GO!

I'd say overall, CBS Daytime is in much better shape than ABC Daytime

I have my ideal dream team for GL. Lorraine Broderick as HW, and Jack Coffey, Larry Carpenter, or Francesca James as EP. I believe Broderick would want to write for GL considering she was skipped over for the job when DK first joined (I think she was ghost writing along with EW, and they put her as Associate Head Writer when DK first assumed the reigns of HW. ). Broderick has always excelled in writing for a soap like GL. I would also add Peter Dunne(Former HW/EP of Knots Landing) as Co-Head Writer.

No, that wonderful honor goes to Ellen "Can't Write For [!@#$%^&*]" Weston and John "Baseball Set Building" Conboy. They destroyed GL.

I feel that Wheeler and Kreizman walked into a mess and pretty much rebuilt the house. New plumbing, new light fixtures. They had to make do with what CBS gave them. And they are doing a great job.

Compared to ABC, I think CBS is a lot better. But they definitely have a lot of problems.

IMO, GL is the best of the bunch on CBS. That's not saying much, though, because the writing is still terrible. Compared to C&W's tenure, the show is a lot better, but it's still hot-and-cold. DK has got to go. Even the wonderful acting on the show cannot make up for the trash they call writing.

B&B is good for a week and then will suck for 7 weeks. I think Bell has ADD. He needs to step down as HW and just continue as EP. The Ridge/Brooke/Nick triangle was just too much. The only good thing that the show has going for itself is that SF always gets air-time, as opposed to 99% of the other vets in soaps.

Sadly, ATWT is just in the gutter. Nothing interesting happens...ever. The same damn people are on day-after-day. IMO, both CG and JP need to be canned yesterday.

I don't watch Y&R regularly, so I can't comment.

Kreizman and Wheeler are far worse than Conboy and Wheeler.

This is some of Kreizman and Wheelers work on Gl

Wheeler and Kreizman killed Phillip

Alan shot Phillip

Alan obsessed with Lizzie's baby

mutant Leah

Josh and reva broke up for Josh and Cassie

Blake is the Springfield blogger

Comic book episode

Ross was sent to recurring status and eventually picked up by OLTL

Rick had a part in Ross's death

Obsession with the Cooper family

Keep Jeffrey O'Neill on the show

Alan-Michael slept with Marina

They made a mockery of breast cancer and rape

Lorraine Broderick and/or Peter Dunne would be awesome at GL!

I agree that as bad as the writing for GL under Kreizman may be, it still beats the hell out of Weston (not that that's saying much).

Overall though, compared to ABCD, CBS isn't THAT bad, but does need some work too.

These days (ever since oh say a few months into DK's reign in 2004) GL has lacked substance and soul. Reva's cancer sl is a major example IMO.
