With a January exit for Eileen Davidson, I feel like they must be recasting Ashley. I don't know if it'll be immediate, but it has to happen. I refuse to accept Jack being the only Abbott around. Plus, RoboTot is great and I'd have for her to leave with Ashley.

The networks do read boards, so this is good to get the speculation out there. My choice?

I think her look is correct for the role and she has the range to play Ashley. She got the shaft by GH so the chances of Y&R thinking to ask her are slim, so I'm throwing it out there. I can't think of anyone else who would fit so perfectly, unless maybe they went with Brenda Epperson. Speaking of her, how does she look today?

I just checked Brenda Epperson's site and she has a contemporary Christian cd coming out so she might not have the time to do it. Her site is very Christian so I'm not sure how a soap would fit into her life. But she still looks very good.

Brenda played a slutty nightclub singer on Passions 6 years ago. I would take that to mean she's the type to not let work get in the way of her beliefs.

Charity has so much acting range. No doubt she could pretend to be a 40 yr old woman.

Bring back Brenda Epperson Y&R! PLEASE! I disagree with those who don't think Ashley will be re-cast- she most certainly will, just like she has been time & again.

What about Robin Mattson? She's only 3 years older than Eileen and if they decide to have Ashley lose her mind again, she'd be perfect.

I wouldn't mind Kristina Wagner in the role but I also think that Tracy Melchoir should play Ashley since she rarely plays Kristen forrester.

Won't happen! I'm almost certain that since Ashley hasn't had a story in eons, she'll either die (her breast cancer has recurred, metastacized, and is terminal) or just go away (e.g., Hong Kong; go back to Europe).

I think the current regime doesn't know what to do with her. So, in that case, resting the character (letting the actress return to glory at the other Sony soap, DOOL) makes sense. If there is room on the canvas in 3 or 5 years, Eileen can always come back.

I didn't believe the Abbotts were being removed from the show...but it's pretty clear that's what happening. I think they like Jack over there...but an alienated, isolated Jack seems to be where the creative team wants to go. Kind of like Greg Sumner at Knot's Landing. I think that's where we're headed with Jack.

I have a feeling that LML will write Ashley in a way that will box her into her departure...most likely having her take the rap for Jack (she took the rap for her father) and his dirty dealings with Ji-Min...
