  1. Tyler was so talented, even when he visibly was struggling for years on and off onscreen. Even when he was at times checked out or impaired, there was a core of integrity and intellect to Nikolas as a character that no one else has ever touched. I was touched by his blunt honesty and candor in his recent interview given his BTS issues in the last decade, and I always have hoped he would get well enough to return someday when it was right for him. I just hope he's at peace.

  3. That's the Frank Valentini way. That editing style is based on a philosophy he (and I'm sure many network execs) began adhering to years ago - they think shorter scenes are preferred for the younger demographic's attention span.
  4. I need to binge and catch up, I'm once again a few weeks behind. I did like the show zeroing in on the Varga-Murphys, who I think are the most compelling material so far.

It was a surprise for me too. I do hope they finally animate DMP - such a great saga, in an early experimental period for the show. More from Russell:

The notable absence of Tom makes me wonder if it's his health, his usual strangeness or if they have something else planned. (The absence of Carole Ann Ford also makes me think Susan is still going to appear in the anniversary episodes.) I never thought I'd see a Jamie/Zoe, Steven/Vicki or Peri/Six reunion in the 2020s.

@DRW50 This one's for you: Tales of the TARDIS. New shorts featuring classic companions and Doctors, written by RTD and co. (including one of the writers on those beloved Blu-Ray shorts with the classic cast). Yes, that is Jo with Clyde from SJA. The episodes in question:
  8. Studio 60 aired to completion for 22 episodes. Once it flopped they just burned off the last six episodes after several months' hiatus in the summer. In any event this is all wildly off-topic.
  9. Donna, this is once again not true. The entire season of Studio 60 aired.
  10. This one (and Richard Moll!) are both shocks. Given his history I had to wonder what happened with Perry.
  11. The mixed reactions on this fascinate me. I have no real interest in the revival, but I did think a recent article - maybe by Josef Adalian - suggesting that to succeed it needs to be back on network TV as its style and rhythms are still so typical of a network sitcom (and likely to still have an audience in CBS' core demographic) is likely spot on.
  12. Bob Hughes marrying a European drug smuggler played by Elaine Princi is still so insane to me. Which ep is she in?

Disney is going all in on promotion. Their new version of the 60th trailer has Mel in the background at 0:35 in a shot with

@DRW50 @Faulkner Rumor has it Gatwa appears more than in cameo in at least the third special, and then I believe his first full episode is most likely at Christmas or New Year's with Millie Gibson. But I could be way off.
  15. I could've sworn Alexis lived in the neighboring penthouse or close by in the early 2000s, when Jason was gone and they were doing Sexis. But I'm probably wrong.
  16. It was one of the weirdest things I've ever seen. Like a gay dance party.
  17. I think they want us to think the color scheme and the bust or whatever are supposed to evoke elements of the original, lol. Did they really burn Anna's Chandler mansion down? I know her having a house was allegedly one of Finola's contract conditions back in the period where Frank and Ron had everyone living in the damn Metro Court for awhile like GL. Me too, but weren't Sonny and later Jason's penthouses on the same floor, across the hall? The one Sam and Dante are now in? Did Alexis not live in it back in the day too? Am I imagining this?
  18. That's what's killing me. It's so half-assed attempting to look like some small element of the original (which I'm pretty sure is now Laura's penthouse, as it should be) in like the size of a crackerjack box.
  19. I'm glad they've kept some semblance of the old school living room/study as another set, but the main Quartermaine drawing room or whatever looks like a Bed Bath & Beyond showroom atm.
  20. This nonsense with Felicia deciding to work at the hospital does not fly for me. Felicia has been a PI forever.
  21. I'm glad someone mentioned this. Toby and her family are rising stars in the genre/horror scene because of their popular films and it's nice to see that continuing. Barbara Crampton (Y&R, GL) is also co-starring in one of her many Lovecraft adaptations, the new Joe Lynch film Suitable Flesh with Heather Graham.
