I am barely watching atm til Lucky and Laura, etc. reunite but damn, JJ and Becky still got it. And I was not one of their stans back in the day. As I've said before, their romance was too saccharine for me when they were young. Not anymore. So wonderful to see them fully locked in. GH is once again doing one of my pet peeves though, something that has plagued Frank Valentini's soaps since OLTL. They too often have characters talk shít out in dreams or hallucinations or whatever and then never get around to the actual discussion IRL because Frank needs another handful of 90 second scenes for Violet, Carly or Jason. The attitude becomes 'you got those fantasy scenes, right?' (This is the same lazy attitude that governs stuff like only focusing on Lucky's biological child vs. the other two sons he actually raised.) No! So whenever LL2 do link up again for real they better get to business. I don't have a problem with adventure stories on a budget but they have to be aware of what they can do vs. whatever set is just standing up, and what garners audience interest. This seems like an excuse to use Steve because they have no idea what to do with him now that Jason/Carly Round X failed, and I am not interested in staring at Steve, Emma Samms and Carlo Rota sitting around a bunch of bare walls. If Genie was actually involved vs. on vacation? I'd watch every day.

Not sure if I've said it here before, but I do think it's unfortunate Sam may be going out in such a pedestrian way. I was sure if she died it would be in a hail of bullets or explosion, something action or mob-related given her long history of being in the thick of danger. Sam came on this show as a trained diver and treasure hunter, having her die in PC's local waters taking a dip looking for evidence feels a bit small to me.

This attempt to ignore it won't matter, btw. Nuzzi has enough friends in the Beltway club who are all struggling to report on this right now, but I am willing to bet a lot of other dirt on her has gone underreported til now and will begin coming out more and more (in addition to her existing bad priors). They will attempt to rehab Nuzzi - she will likely crop up as a panelist on CNN or MSNBC or something in the next 6-18 months, she will maybe get a confessional piece in the Atlantic or somewhere. People will signal boost it. But she can't hide what she is anymore or what she's always been. Nuzzi's final destination has always been the right wing fever swamp, just like people like Bari Weiss, Taibbi, etc. I knew she would end up there eventually and she's been trending there for some time, going more and more mask off even in polite Beltway circles. So any rehab won't last. She will be on Newsmax in 5 years, maybe ahead of schedule from what I'd always expected. Lara Loganville.

Unless it turns out Nuzzi was actively involved in policy decisions or something, I will confine the rest of my commentary on her to the Media thread. And yes, I believe she was cozy with Rudy but even I don't think she fucked him.

If you're familiar with her (or my white hot hatred of her) the only thing that comes as a surprise to me is who she cozied up to. I thought RFK was too old/crazy even for her, vs. the 'suave' alt-right/Nazi figures like Richard Spencer or Milo she's been tight with for years. She has always been a fascist socialite/it girl, Eva Braun in Patricia Field. She's also the one who wrote the infamous Biden hit piece several months ago claiming a 'conspiracy of silence' around his mental decline while waxing rhapsodic abut the changed post-assassination Trump. This was in part due to Nuzzi being shut out by the Biden admin when he won. They said flat-out they didn't trust her given her background, including fangurling for Ann Coulter, Milo, etc.

I would never link to National Review. Except now. I think we have a fair shot at keeping the Senate, BTW.
