  1. I suspect this was all intended to write him out. With PM gone, even if he exits I think he'll be back in a flash unless the network puts their foot down, a la Howarth. BLQ I would bring back quickly. I remember when they married off Cain and Tina on OLTL in '94 when Karen Witter wanted to leave after a big love story and much fanfare - she was back in like 4-5 months recast bc Cain was a con man who'd left her high and dry, lol. I might have her back by early '25. Say Chase cheated or was too judgmental and controlling (because he is).
  2. Based on the strength of the recent daily stuff I'll probably stay til PM's name is off the credits. Some new material (or exits) do seem to be beginning to coalesce so that's worth looking at, but at this point I'll be amazed if he even gets away with cutting Easton - or if FV doesn't bring Finn back right after. The Finn plot point with him drinking by accident does also seem like a direct lift from GL - the Ed thing, right? Don't knock if it works, I guess. Honestly this is where you could and should cut at least four more people in addition to Finn and Gregory: BLQ and Chase (and bring Brook back single in a year or less) followed by Sasha and sadly, probably Cody though I still think he's very viable. They lift right out. Same goes for Spixie actually, but I wouldn't cut them because Kirsten has improved so much so quickly and is vibrant again onscreen (and the new writing suits her). I'd def cut more though. Valentin seems to be on the block as mentioned, but again as I said I don't think Frank will let that happen.
  3. I'm also working my way backwards (while also watching some of this week) since I've been dealing with some IRL stuff, I do think much of the wedding episodes are very solid character work and Gregory's meltdown at the altar was legitimately hard to watch - the stuff with Tracy stepping in, the script falling down, etc. was all quite good and so was Ned giving BLQ away. Also good was the preceding stuff with Valentin and Ava coming closer to each other's scheming orbit, Wagger drawing down on Ava and the really great scenes with Anna absolutely obliterating Carly - I haven't seen that done to her in years, and you wonder if it was a straw that broke the camel's back BTS. The issue is that the Pikeman saga, the only driving story currently on the show, has been stalled out for weeks or perhaps months and is only starting to ramp up again now. I blame this partly on FV's actor guarantee shuffle keeping Steve just standing around hauling his little bags for weeks, and partly on whatever the hell has been going on BTS. It would not shock me if part of the stall is due to Frank trying to find a way to save Valentin/JPS, who he clearly adores. (The scene with Anna trying to work Valentin at dinner and going back over his past as he clarifies his motives and compartmentalization was good - Stuart is historically best at playing a sleaze, not a leading man.) As I've said before, unless Mulcahey manages to ice him before his work ends I fully expect them to do some sort of half-ass save on Valentin, like they were forced to do with Julian years ago (who FV wanted out) - where they blamed him pulling the knife that killed Alexis' mother on her on the evils of Olivia Jerome. I expect all this to end up blamed on Jennifer Smith instead, or old Frank's AI-preserved brain or Peter August from beyond the grave, you name it.
  4. I'd fake it or have her survive, but Who Shot Ava would work just fine too. Still, it could be beautifully done either way, with Ava staying or without. I do agree I'd sooner knife 10-20 other characters.
  5. What I wouldn't give for a Uno reverse card right now.
  6. So I may be super slow on the uptake and I've mentioned the GL similarity before but uh... could the Drew Q political/business sphere with Nina and Willow (which again, I've really enjoyed being built up and will really miss if Korte nukes it - I even like the whole urban redevelopment angle, which could push on Sonny) be Mulcahey even more liberally lifting from his Ross material from GL and having Drew potentially do just as Ross did romantically with Holly and Blake? Not quite the same thing as that situation, but still.
  7. She's gotta go far away! Otherwise they will 100% keep her with Liz and the boys.
  8. Yeah, I don't really mind if Ava gets a grand exit storyline. It could be great. But I don't trust the incoming team to do it well. And I also don't think it's a great look for the show to lose one of its few charismatic power performers at this point. Handled properly, Ava could continue to tear up the town and wreak havoc for at least a couple more years.
  9. Okay, I think they might actually be setting up Who Killed Ava now lol. Which could be a great story! I won't shed a huge amount of tears if Ava goes after over a decade (though I would fake her death, and bring her back for stints at least). But I don't trust Korte or whoever else to write it.
  10. Donna. I am opening your two thousandth blocked post to tell this. You have been told by the admin multiple times to let people just post the basic information about the shows and credits and not keep filling up the thread with needless discussion and reminiscences. I don't even think you're a malicious troll, unlike some of the other accounts we practically had to hunger strike to get banned. I think you mean well but are very used to doing things your own way and cannot accept not being in the right or in the center of a thread, whether you realize it or not. Believe it or not, I am trying to help you. This isn't a debate. This isn't a difference of opinion. This isn't a discussion. You have one job in this thread and it is to stop posting.
  11. Jake has been a teen for several years. Danny is now a teen.
  12. I don't. The 2013 story threaded the needle a lot as to what actually happened or didn't happen from PC, and hinted heavily towards blaming the town forgetting on Caleb's magic ring. (A sentence I never thought I'd utter) I consider it canon, since Karen's death most certainly is.
  13. I truly don't care about seeing Jackie ever again.
  14. It's true, most are terrible or at least just fake and obnoxious. But some are great.
  15. He gave a couple to the usual mags and sites online, including one indicating he'd turned down AMC to play Lucci's love interest maybe once or twice over the years. Some may be in the spoilers thread.
  16. It's nobody's business but yours of course, but if you ever choose to find a safe and secure way to put up that material somewhere I hope you'll let us know. This kind of archiving is invaluable. Thanks for all you do.
  17. If ME actually is let go (which I now have serious doubts about with PM already gone) I fear Violet would just be adopted by "Aunt Liz" as an honorary Webber (I mean, technically she is one but come on). At which point I'm slitting my wrists.
  18. What exactly were these Tylenol murders or whatever on this UK show?
  19. 90% of GH today. (Starting with Dante and Sam, who we were just discussing. Two characters the show doesn't want to get rid of bc of fandom but who they have no real interest in telling story for anymore.)
  20. Well, they were leads. But for several years now they've been supporting. It absolutely is a C-D pairing at best. PM and co. did their best to elevate the couple in March during the shooting story and they did, but it has always been an afterthought for two characters the show no longer cares about but does not want to get rid of. Their fans are loud on social media but all fans of mediocre or minor couples are these days. If it was me, Sam would leave (or die) and Dante would remain. Not that complicated. I will catch up this week lol. I am in process. The GH exit interview where he talked lovingly about the actress being as bossy and precocious offscreen as on honestly sounded like a nightmare to me. But I'm sure she's a very charming child. In doses.
  21. He and Jonathan Jackson could've run the show for years like Luke and Scorpio BITD. They were the natural heirs. I've been saying this for too long. It was such a waste. And the instant Guza's team was gone, Dante became another stock clueless 'good' male lead like most of Ron and Frank's work on OLTL. He's been wasted ever since. Dominic should still be leading, not a B or C player as he is now. The writing for him in his early years was so rich and layered.
