  1. Heads up: It's true: Fox's polling outlet has always been good.
  2. The Vance couch memes are glorious, albeit entirely an Internet invention. This is not.
  3. I'll be expecting a bit more than this, but good: I better see more from Barack this weekend than a one minute video dropped at 6 AM EST. There is apparently an email blast out from Obama as well with an extended statement, which I am trying to find.
  4. In play meaning at risk, to be clear.
  5. I do think the Obama 2008 vibe shift comparison some have used for this week has some real accuracy for this moment. But I hesitate to use it myself. I refuse to be too confident about such a pivotal moment. We knew then that McCain was on the wrong track for America and that we couldn't continue Bush II policies, but McCain was not a deranged autocrat with a history of insurrection who'd packed a corrupt Supreme Court. The stakes are much higher today, the situation is far more dangerous and this entire cycle is far more unstable. We can be happy and excited but we can't let our guard down for an instant. That said... yes, I do think there is a real similarity to '08 at the immediate moment.
  6. I think we have a very strong start and I do think we can do this, but Trump's team has barely been able to get their bearings yet. It looks and feels good but I think it's important to stay vigilant. I will say it's a much better start for an unprecedented, insane switch like this than I'd ever expected.
  7. I'll believe it when I see it. We all remember the Trump WH whenever a dead man/woman in the admin appeared. Trump hates direct one to one confrontation and prefers to neg and humiliate anyone in his circle in public until they quit voluntarily. Most took forever to do it, or didn't at all and kept on taking it. I do think Trump will turn on him if he hasn't already, he always does. But like Pence and others, I think Vance is determined to keep taking it for a shot at being the latest Trump dignity wraith. I don't think he'll ever quit.
  8. The Vance rollout continues:
  9. I think they had at least one or two there in 2013 alone!
  10. Carly has had so many fights in that lobby, lol. Brenda too.
  11. Debbi has also been invoked in a viral TikTok parody of a hilarious scene featuring her in said film, as the memes and spoofs regarding Divorce in the Black have set Perry off on another defensive PR blitz: The original, almost as hilarious scene with poor Debbi is further down in the thread. I have to say the TikTok actress nailed it. But hey, Debbi stays busy!
  12. Meanwhile, a profile in courage:
  13. Anyone suggesting GH kicked Chavez out the door is projecting wildly. GH has let people out with as little time left on their contract after an outside commitment as NAC before, preferring to preserve the relationship for the future. The implication that they consider themselves well-rid of him and would not take him back tomorrow is fantasy, AFAIC. (And I'm not suggesting that is DRW's view at all, to be clear)
  14. Folks, Wendy Riche is like 80. She is not coming back. And Julie Hanan Carruthers was a mess at AMC. Also, PLEASE de-format your copy and pasted tweet comments. It's been 10+ years.
  15. Who among us:
  16. Maybe, but I don't see her getting Chavez's gigs.
  17. Her contract isn't up for what, at least another year?
