  1. I'll never forget their antics. Truly deranged.
  2. I have no great love for Liz Cheney and never will, but she did put party above country re: Trump and her statement will move a few voters. That's all I care about. She also influences media narrative, as they adore her. Anyone online wailing about it doesn't get that, they always assume an endorsement from an outside party means the candidate will be magically beholden to that party in office. That's not how it works. From the very reliable Jon Ralston: Also:
  3. They're really unsubtle. They were certain with Finn gone and Jarly tanking they'd have a clear path at Jason and it's never going to happen. Fortunately they're not the majority of viewers re: Lucky and Liz.
  4. That's because a lot of them on Twitter are Liason stans. Liz with psycho Ric again does nothing for me because I could never believe she'd be with him again after the 2000s and the panic room, though I enjoy Ric for what he is (a crazy slimeball). I had no particular fondness for LNL2 in the '90s, I found them too saccharine, but the older version appeals to me. JJ and Becky still have it if not moreso now that they're older IMO. It's just that Jonathan's return interferes with the show a lot of the Twitter kids had planned in their heads, so they act very vocal to project bigger numbers than they have. (Similar case in point: The supposedly massive fanbases of Sonny and Nina, Michael and Willow, etc.)
  5. We don't have to guess why many of those people are back, I suspect.
  6. I could not care less about Sidwell/Carlo Rota, no matter how charming he was on 24 20+ years ago. The character is not that interesting. If they try to make him the new Cyrus hanging around forever or make him Eva LaRue's ex or something I am just going to go back under my covers lol. This show has one trick and one trick only.
  7. I agree. That's what a lot of the debate was about IMO. He's trying to look past MAGA, but I don't think it will work out for him down the road any more than others.
  8. What a class act, anywhere I saw him. RIP.
  9. That's never going to happen for some people, but he remains dramatically unpopular. I don't need him to be fully destroyed, I just need him to lose. Meanwhile:
  10. I believe a fair amount of polling, I just don't think it shows that and I don't see or hear that narrative coming out of most pollsters. In most of the key states Harris is still up on Trump, or at the very least tied in ways that are not good for him. There is a reason pollsters still say she now has the edge and has had it for some time. If that changes then that's another story.
  11. Lucky and Liz had kids young and look appropriate enough given those onscreen circumstances. Jonathan himself had kids as early as '03. The talented veterans are not the issue, the issue is they cast a twunk who's a bit too old to play Aiden. But if he can act I guess it's whatever at this point.
  12. The Bulwark likes Walz (but prefers Shapiro, of course) and despises Trump. I don't have much use for the Bulwark people or trust them in the long-term because I remember who they are and where they come from, every single one of them. When we win they should be disposed of because they'll do the same to us. But I appreciate their killer instinct because I remember that from the 2000s too, and frankly Democrats need more of that to destroy MAGA (which will not end immediately, it'll take awhile). I do think they're right that the Trump cult may not take well to nice Vance from last night - it's not who they wanted or needed up there, but it's how he burnishes his brand to attempt a run in '28. Anyway: Polling:
  13. The ubiquitous Judith Light (OLTL) is in Billy Crystal's new Apple TV thriller series.
  14. I don't think he's regaining that much momentum in that many polls, though - Harris is still up or tied/variable in most key states. And again, most of the media is saying it was a tie, not calling Vance the winner, and Vance was nailed by the 1/6 question. So where's the comeback narrative? Vance isn't surging as a VP so there isn't any redemption narrative for him, and not much has changed. Hopeful tweets from Republican journalists at Politico don't make a narrative work; if they did Romney would've won. Oh, and there's this:
  15. Kelly Monaco differing with management over her story/pairing and making a fuss BTS is not going to get FV fired.
  16. He isn't, though. It's widely being seen as a draw/tie, and the big takeaway was Walz nailing Vance on J6. Walz was def not a skilled debater but I'll take a tie and that key clip for us. That's all we really needed, and we got it. They needed Vance to do a comeback tour for Trump and be a MAGA attack dog - he didn't and wasn't.
  17. The Times, CNN, CBS, etc. calling it a draw and noting Walz's killer moment on 1/6 at the end. So much for the comeback tour.
  18. And we're done. Did no harm, didn't shift votes to Trump, was remarkably civil and nice to listen to at times, and Walz drew blood several times particularly at the end. Good enough for me. I won't be the only one saying this: Vance is looking past Trump, angling for 2028 as a different, kinder and gentler Republican candidate all over again.
  19. Lizza is apparently on leave from Politico per this case. He is more entrenched in the Beltway than Nuzzi so I don't see this ending well for her.
