  1. Yeah, I noticed that Elissa Leeds (Hope) wasn't included. She would have been part of the cast at that time.
  2. In this movie, we get two TD actresses for the price of one - and in the same scene, no less!!! One of them was on the show as this movie was being filmed and the other was between stints. Start at the 30:12 mark and you'll see who I mean: The world of soaps - both daytime and primetime - are well-represented. Also in this movie are familiar faces like Thaao Penghlis, Barbara Barrie, Julie Harris and Jameson Parker.
  3. I think he looks more like Alice Cooper sans makeup than Rick Springfield, but I digress. LOL
  4. Watson71, my friend Chris Mann wrote Come and Knock on Our Door, the Three's Company companion book. As he was an AMC fan, he never saw AW and thus never knew the connections until I told him about it. He now finds it utterly amusing that Mr. Angelino and Lana were once "married"!!! LOL
  5. Kind of like Steve Fletcher aka Steve Blizzard, right? LOL
  6. I've seen that cover before and it is adorable. In the 2010 WLS interview Judith did, she said that Ian is now in the restaurant business.
  7. Wow, I never knew she had recorded an album. You really do learn something new every day!!
  8. Very nice! I actually remember that PS episode. LOL
  9. So do I. I think she's great.
  10. Not only the wedding, but the great eps that lead up to the wedding - Nick's proposal and Althea's acceptance, telling Penny and their friends, meeting with the minister, the bridal shower/bachelor party (well, Nick, Matt and Ed going out for a night of drinking while the gals have the shower at the Powers home), the big pre-wedding fight, making up, picking out the wedding clothes, the rehearsal, and getting ready on the big day (where Matt, of all people, makes a HUGE gaffe). Then after the wedding, witness Althea and Nick's flight to their Caribbean honeymoon (though why she is wearing a fur hat on a flight to the Bahamas is beyond me), and frolicking on the "beach" (of course, an indoor set with the sound effect of ocean waves piped in). Also, try to catch the Christmas episode that features just the Fab Four. All four break the fourth wall as Jim Pritchett leads them in wishing the viewers a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, "from all of us at Hope Memorial". Jim Pritchett and Liz Hubbard also sing beautifully when Matt and Althea break into "It Came Upon a Midnight Clear". Have fun!!! Tons of fun moments can be found in all these episodes.
  11. That's awesome - good for her!!
  12. I had an email yesterday from Maureen Mooney Pellegrini, best known for her stint on GL as Ann Jeffers in the mid/late 70s to the early 80s. (The whole story of how I got in touch with her is on The Doctors page.) After a long break, she is getting back into show biz! More details to come as I get them.
  13. I had an email yesterday from Maureen Mooney Pellegrini (since it had to do with her bit roles on The Doctors, I posted the actual email on that show's page). After a long break, she is getting back into show biz!! As soon as I find out more, I'll post it here.
  14. Does anyone know if Lucy Rittenberg is even still alive? She retired in 1976 and was replaced by Allen Potter. I've done several online searches and can find virtually nothing about her.
  15. I'd be happy to. I also mentioned the Brim commercial in my email to her, so let me know once you find it so I can send that off to her as well.
  16. Thank you so much!! I did indeed hear from Maureen Mooney today, now Maureen Mooney Pellegrini. Here's what she had to say: "Hello Monika, Thank you so much for this, what a surprise. I just did a commercial last Nov. I can send that to you to view if you would like. It's fun. I am just getting back into the business so I will keep you posted! I need to do a web page but I am very untechnical. Well thank you again. Maureen Mooney Pellegrini" That was so sweet. I was very touched!!
  17. Hey, to each her own, girlfriend!! ;-)
  18. Why not throw in Malcolm Groome and make it a trifecta, applcin? ;-)
  19. Yes, the exception to the rule!! Though on a show like EON, one could never be completely sure...;-)
  20. Thank you for sharing all that, danfling!! While I am not familiar with Ann #1 or #4, I am familiar with Joanna Miles, mainly for her Emmy-winning turn as Laura in 1973's production of The Glass Menagerie, an endeavor which also won her co-star Michael Moriarty (later of L&O) an Emmy. You are correct when you said that the Washams met when performing in Plaza Suite - I read that in a couple of different articles about them.
  21. I got in touch via FB with Georgia Pellegrini, the daughter of Maureen Mooney. I sent her screencaps of her mom as both the candy striper and as Temp Liz. She was delighted and said she would send them off to her mom right away.
  22. Is it me, but is practically every soap character named Adam always up to no good? There's Adam Carrington, Adam Newman, Adam Chandler, Adam "JR" Chandler, Jr., etc. ;-)
  23. Peter Hansen said in SOD upon the passing of Augusta Dabney, that people would come up to her and ask what her why Lee and Caroline weren't on the show anymore. She said, "Silverman!" (That was right when Fred Silverman became president of ABC.)
  24. Your guess is as good as mine...but you're right about P&G shuffling EPs to the different shows to keep them fresh. In a podcast interview I listened to with guest Susan Bedsow-Horgan (best known for her success as EP of OLTL in the mid-90s, but in the late 70s-mid 80s she worked at both GL and ATWT as a producer and a writer). At ATWT, the EP when she got there was Fred Bartholomew. At the same time, Mary-Ellis Bunim was at the helm of SFT. Then P&G decided to have them switch shows. Had AW lasted past 1999, I wonder how long Chris Goutman would have been in charge. For the second consecutive day, I have received a through the mail autograph success from an AW alum - Laura Malone (Blaine Ewing). She long ago gave up acting, went to law school, earned her degree and is now an attorney working for Zulily in Seattle. Not only did she sign the pictures I sent but she also enclosed a lovely handwritten note. I will email the images off to Carl soon.
