  1. Thank you for posting them, Carl.
  2. About today's episodes - once again Liz Hubbard and Gerald Gordon deserve retroactive Emmys!!! There's also a scene in Nick's lab that looks more like Doctor Who than The Doctors!!!
  3. I actually found Maureen's daughter Georgia on Facebook and sent her screen caps of her mom as both Temp Liz and the giggling, gossiping candy striper she had portrayed only days before filling in for Pam Toll. Georgia was delighted and gave me her mother's email address so I could send them directly to her. Maureen responded saying that she was so surprised - and thrilled - to see them!! Since then, both mom and daughter have seen both episodes and just loved them. That was awesome.
  4. So does Susan Trustman Leider, the first Pat. It's worth asking. http://susanleiderart.com/about
  5. Barbara Rodell was fired on her birthday? That's cold. She's not the only one that's happened to - Christie Clark was let go by DAYS on her 17th birthday in 1990 so the show could "mature" Carrie with Tracy Middendorf. Christie Clark did tell SOD that the upside was that she got to spend her entire senior year of high school actually going to a regular school, instead of being tutored on the set.
  6. I read that, too - I think that was at We Love Soaps.
  7. That poor kid never could catch a break!!!!
  8. Well, it turns out that both Maureen and her daughter saw her episodes and loved them!! Jami Fields was not aware of the reruns until she got my letter, and since then several of her friends are watching and one of them records the episodes for Jami. Carolee Campbell has been watching some of them and I don't know about Liz Hubbard - but she knows the reruns are on and have been well-received. C.C. Courtney, from the email I got from him, seems happy that the reruns are back. Laryssa Lauret and her daughter Lada have been posting on FB about the show. A friend of mine has been in contact with the daughter of Conrad Roberts (Ed Stark), so they are aware of the reruns as well. Everyone that I've heard from seem stunned yet happy that they have gained a new generation of fans. As Jami herself said in her letter to me, "It's a lot of fun to see the old shows - especially after so many years." As for the cast members who are no longer with us, I've tried to contact family members (mainly through social media). I look at it like this: if my mom/dad/aunt/uncle/sister/brother/whoever is being seen again on TV reruns, I would sure want to know about it - so that I and the rest of the family and friends could see our loved one again in some form. That's pretty much the experience I had when I emailed Tim Kebbe, the son of Sally Gracie (Martha Allen). I found out that he is a lawyer with his own firm, and emailed him at the address displayed on the firm's website. He has kids of his own, and I'm sure they would love to see their grandma on TV. If I hear back from anyone else connected with TD, I will let you all know!!
  9. Have you ever wanted to own baby Edmund's tombstone? If so, it can be yours for $350 at eBay!!! (Who else thinks that Jill would hit the roof and then sue to have the listing removed?) http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ryans-Hope-Original-Prop-Vintage-1979-Edmund-Strong-Coleridge-Tombstone-36x24-/231605066094?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35ecbcd96e
  10. I sent Carl the images of the autographs I received from Judith Barcroft and Laura Malone, so he should probably have them up here pretty soon.
  11. safe, you are a treasure trove of all things RH. Did you know that Faith Catlin appeared in a 1968 episode of The Doctors as a candy striper? She had no lines and was only in one brief scene, but there was no mistaking that face and smile.
  12. I'm not exactly sure but it won't be long because Edelstein also left in 1969. Carl, I had another email today from Maureen (Mooney) Pellegrini aka Gossiping Candy Striper #1/Temp Liz. I sent along the article you asked me to, and made sure to mention that my friend Carl had saved it all that time and wanted her to have it. I also mentioned that you have the Brim commercial she did with Liz Hubbard and that you are searching for it so that she can see it again along with the rest of us. Here's what she said: "Monika you are too much! This is so much fun. When I get a moment I will send you some things. All the best to you and Carl. I really appreciate all the wonderful clips. Fondly, Maureen"
  13. We finally get to see what the Powers' kitchen looks like!!! Also, starting with today's second episode, Rick Edelstein is listed as the sole writer.
  14. Cool!! Thank you for that information, safe.
  15. Thank you. How many actresses played Hope between Elissa and Elvera Roussel?
  16. Agreed. I never knew that Leon Stevens (the RL husband of Lydia Bruce of The Doctors) was on OLTL.
  17. Those are great. I know that Randall Edwards has long since retired from acting, but does anyone know where she is now? Still on the East Coast?
  18. I could email Jennifer Desiderio (Jacquie's daughter) and ask if her mom had any recordings saved of AW.
  19. Was Elissa Leeds the first Hope?
  20. Yup, and post-TC, Jenilee Harrison went on to Dallas.
  21. Knowing Paul Rauch's reputation, I wouldn't put it past him!!
  22. Isn't it true that P&G didn't start saving episodes of their shows until 1980 or so?
  23. I believe his After School Special is on that show's DVD box set, along with "The Pinballs", "Sara's Summer of the Swans", the one where Scott Baio becomes an alcoholic and the one where Helen Hunt jumps out a window after taking angel dust.
  24. Yes, the marriage to George Hearn only lasted a couple of years (it was her second marriage). She didn't marry Hal until 1984 and of course was with him for the rest of her life.
