History between the actress and the show...but specificALLY her history with FV...adding on his other flaws in running the show and other shows. Thus the side-eye. But in THIS instance...all the audience have wanted for Laura...besides a storyline...has been for her kids to come home. And years (or a decade in Lucky's case) later, it is finally happening, and Laura is NOWHERE in sight? Laura...the lady that is always about her kids and their grandkids? And in terms of vacation time, we already discussed a week or so back about the concept of pre and post taping around an actor's vacation with examples. It is what was what was making the Lucky storyline jarring because technically she and Kevin left first before Jason and Anna and yet nowhere in sight. So that does not help. They could have planned that so much better. And given how FV micromanages, one cannot help, but side-eye. Yeah, since it sounds like Lucky arrives at the end of my current binging in Port Charles, it really does set up for Laura to return for the start of November Sweeps.

9-23 And now that I've caught up and got one over on my player (nice try, CBS, but I got thru Y&R and B&B so delete away), I can now get back to GH and Lucky's return storyline, too. And I can't believe how invested I have become in the continuing rift between Molly and TJ. It was nice to have scenes of TJ (and his backside) and Curtis to be sure we are getting his point of view. And Molly is still doing the opposite, and mixing it up with Dex of all people? Well, like I said a few pages back, I guess she's getting the rivalry that Joss used to have with Kristina. I feel KV will bring it so let's go!!! Oh, yesss...you betta get your flirt on, Beast!!! Hehe. I actually enjoyed the Carly/Jack scenes. And it surprised me to no end that Joss was making so much sense and staying on her mom's neck. lol. I admit...I am happy to see the return of the Liz/Terry relationship. Liz with a sounding board and NOT being the sounding board? Who would have thought it? OMG...that reveal!!! I may hate how these New/Old Writers are throwing Portia under the bus for Heather when so many of the people in town SHOULD be on her side. But that scene was well-done. And I also enjoyed Portia vs Terry over Brad.

That's a good question. Wasn't she mentioned on screen a few years back? Because I feel like the last time she was on screen was during Maria Arena Bell.

RHOP Not my two faves feuding...lol...but love the little tea... Even though...now that I think about it...I guess I will have to get around to watching last season's reunion before next Sunday now.

I do wonder what the storyline will be. Would they really put him back together with Brad...or is someone new in the wings?

9-27 I might ramble a bit, but bear with me. I really loved the Sharon episode. Outside of Ashley, Jill, Dru, original Mac, and HT's Victoria, I would say she's my favorite. Perhaps it's a case of her being introduced when I was young same as Elizabeth on GH, but they really don't do young soap ingénues/heroines like her anymore. She has withstood the test of time like a true heroine, too. She's done everything. She's seen everything. And yet, there's so much more to be done with her. Like say...seeing who Sharon's father is for example. And her connections for someone who did not have family in Genoa City when she appeared runs deep. And that Sharon has been around for 30 years is a story testament to how awesome SC is as an actress. Always spellbinding. Always resonating. And always able to be a little fierce like her standing up to Nikki in this very episode. Her head tilt. Her inflection in her words. The look she gave Nikki (who I loved having that pixie cut) when she said she is tired of her walking all over her. One of SC's best. This was flashback galore, and I loved it. Standouts for me was seeing Sharon's mother...and I've never seen that scene...no wonder they had such a complicated relationship. The Sharon vs Nikki scenes. Her, Nick, and telling Cassie they were adopting her. That little parent scene with Cassie. Her and Nick and the beginnings of Crimson Light. I take it some of those scenes of her and Nick were from when he had amnesia. Oh and her with the original Mariah storyline. And the end where common sense Sharon came back. SC made it look so effortless. I really wished JG knew the gem he has in Sharon and SC and honestly worked with her and not against her.

Him and Buck from Loving. I totally understand. And now you have me misty-eyed from Jackie. They hit differently, but they definitely hit.

Le sigh. The gasp I let out at work yesterday when I was on break and saw the header here. Then I had to let my friend know since DAYS (and Ms. Sami Brady) was the soap she grew up with. True Reilly's DAYS is what grew me into the show when I was growing up, but seeing the dashing hunk of a man at Manison Blanche...I was smitten. From the Possession to Aremid to Lady in the Cage to him, Marlena, and Kristen...I loved me sum John Black. Most definitely my first DAYS crush and John/Marlena was definitely one...if not my favorite DAYS couple. And you really don't see the Good Guy/Hero type on current soaps anymore. And pick on him or not, good acting or not, Drake never phoned it in and was always engaged. Bonus...in interviews I read, he always seem cool, caring, and had a great sense of humor. I know I always loved that while he did not do baseball, his love for the sport shined through and he still had all this knowledge about it. I'm not a big baseball fan, but there's something about seeing someone talking about a thing they love that just shows so much about a person. I very much love that he had no problem playing a character who has a gay son and he treated him no difference than any of his other kids. That resonated so very much with me given my relationship with my own father. And the horror fan in me did not mind his dad was Jigsaw. He was a real one. My heart goes out to his family and the DAYS cast.

9-27 So I guess Bill and Poppy did break up. Wow. So he and Katie are already milling around each other. Of course, Liam and Will are for it. And I see it has begun. Will and RJ sharing scenes around each other. And of course, at Forrester. Uh...Carter and Hope? Steffy is never going to let up on Hope. Lol. I hollered at 'LEAVE' when she saw Hope looking at Finn. And a classic Friday cliffhanger. I don't like this Taylor storyline, but that was well done. Oh...Bridget? Someone new to know about the secret?

I agree. Hate as I do on this storyline, it was all well done. And the fact it was so good that I didn't realize that it was Heather vs Sharon for 15 minutes without any other plot or characters is a testament to how good everything (direction, the acting, lighting, music) truly was. Yeah, it's definitely a subtle turn, but a turn all the same. I definitely have been loving seeing SC being more engaged. She's been a bit hit and miss (for her) since it started, but she's being great as Sharon has unraveled before the audience's eyes. So underappreciated. I agree with every word you said.

I beg to differ. lol. @NothinButAttitude really pointed it out at the Season 1 reunion and from that moment onward...especially at every reunion...one can't unsee it. Heather's slip showed that she's been wearing a mask all along. @Cat and I have always said that she is simply a more subtle version of Jen in fact. And hopefully someday her skeletons will show. Because she still does slip up like last season with that hot mic scene right before the end of the season that was referenced in this season's opener at the Little Girl Gang-Up. And I definitely think with the weight loss...we are going to see the REAL Heather on display. She might have had her moments, but I now feel she's never truly been authentic, just someone who studied Housewives like Jen did and tailored herself accordingly. Lisa was more authentic than her in Season 1 which is why I loved her as my Fabulous Ice for at least the first two seasons. Some people say that Lisa has not changed. In a way she hasn't...which is why she has feuds incoming, but I do feel that the opinions of the audience did get to her and she clearly cared what some of the ladies think. Because she has become more tailored as the seasons have gone on to the point she is not that Fabulous Ice I knew who was rich, fabulous, and did not care at all what people thought a la ICE to slights to Lisa, this overdramatic woman who overreacts to any time something is not about her...or worse makes everything about her in a way that is delulu. It was why she was triggered by Monica last season cuz Monica stayed checking her on this. And look at this season...she still gets triggered when checked. I believe everyone knows I was her biggest fan Season 1, 2, and parts of Season 3, but she cares too much what people think and doubled down on stupid things for my liking so I no longer like her. A shame because I lived for her giving what EricFake over on BH thought she was giving as a Petty Pretty Mess. Bronwyn I like so far...I know minority...because she may be her own brand of delulu, but it appears quirky real to me. And her tag-teaming with Mary immediately make me like her. Heather's Friend...can kick rocks. But anyone who is 1) friends with Heather and 2) coming for Mary was going to be disliked for me. I don't care for her intrigues and she's giving RHOP's Sesame Street with her thirst.

OC I can't believe that I've already hit the midpoint of Season 17 already? Wow. I felt that I've been going slow, but I guess not. I finished the Montana trip. I thought it was okay. And there were so many moments. Taylor being on the trip and going up against Heather of all people. Gina trying to pot stir and being outwitted by Tamra. *cough*pretendertothethrone*cough* The secrets of Jennifer and how much Tamra may or may not know. I really liked the real moments as well as the HW shifting alliances moments. Like the fact that with Tamra back, it's Dos Amigas and seeing Heather actually be insecure about that. How human of her! Jennifer talking about how her marriage ended and getting to know a new man just felt real...and intriguing due to the timeline. Shannon's worries about getting close to Tamra again...cuz TAMRA. Even Emily having Co-Vid...not that she was missed...lol. So hitting midpoint I feel... SHANNON. She is still having a pretty good season so far. She's being open with her evolving friendship with Tamra. And if Shannon is going to do anything, she's going to give fun cuz her and the tractor...lmao. HEATHER. Lol...oh, Taylor. No one will ever think of her as not being ambitious. Wrong move coming for Heather. I still have Season 9 in my head when the ladies attempted a Heather takedown at the start of the season and she outmaneuvered them every episode because she is intelligent as all get out. And Taylor is a more emotional person so Heather gathered her quickly. So it was nice to see that balanced out by Heather being emotional over Tamra and Shannon renewing their friendship closeness. Heather being well-rounded was totally unexpected because she is all about how she shows herself which is as an intelligent AND RICH woman. EMILY. Sick. But clever she did pop in by phone in one episode and in unimportant scenes in another episode. GINA. Ugh. lol. The only real thing about her was her getting triggered by Jen's past due to her own past. And even that I side-eyed cuz her and her ex-husband are on good terms. Her attempts to be a pot stirrer is annoying. And always has been these last few seasons. And that's when she's not trying hard to find a reason to go after Heather. I will give her this though...it's very ambitious of her to try to come for Tamra. She's very lucky that Tamra is too busy trying to reclaim her spot in the circle to notice. But even that, Tamra is still running rings around her. JEN. I'm really liking her. And this timeline is very intriguing on when she met Ryan, the emotional affair, and how things fell apart with her marriage. I know I should probably feel a way. Or I might even feel a way if it had gotten physical first which Jen has said it was just an emotional affair. But to me, she's owning all of that...and I find it refreshing. She feels real. I am sad that Gina is making endroads in making cracks between her and Tamra though. TAMRA. A return to form. No notes. Looking forward to more. The new TV season and work has definitely kept me busy. lol.
