12-12 I saw that name and went RME. But let me give CVE some credit. Throughout the episode, there was a sense of dread over that Q X-mas party. So that I can't hate on. There was a sense of something WAS coming. For me, it was just the execution. Like mentioned above, if this was old school soap, the video reveal would have happened at a big event. People dressed to the nines. And a few other secrets coming out at the same time. And I honestly felt PM doing Drew as a Congressman who had eyes for Nina AND her daughter was setting up for that to happen Election Night. So just about anything other than THAT was going to pale. And given the buildup to Drew/Willow sex to Michael/Sasha sex to the video itself to the story vanishing for two weeks and just simmering as a C plot to THIS. Overall, anticlimactic. Episode-wise, it was decent in how it built to it. It was just destroyed by the pacing and the nuts and bolts. Why did it have to a grumpy Tracy thing rather than a crafty Tracy maneuver? Why couldn't it just be Michael going dark rather than trying to be all meek about it? Now Drew wants to go obsessive and lash out at Nina after NO buildup? How can Chase/BLQ be flirty like that and yet I feel nothing? And I assume that alarm at the hospital means Dex is bye-bye. Well...at least, Joss got some couple moments before it happened. And I really loved him bonding with Felicia over this past week of episodes. It felt organic even if it was a plot thread to make Felicia the next target. They have been teasing Natalia's son for a year now. So I expect him to spring up at some point. Perhaps as a love interest for Lucas? In any case, I'm not here for Sonny and St. Maria of the PushUp Bra...which is how Blaze's mama is now being written. Since when does Ava not have money? If not from her family or the art gallery...or Sonny...then at least from the divorce for Nikolas??? I admit...I'm curious. That said...I love the seductive dance going on between her and Ric. And because I can't say it enough...SHUT UP, KRISTINA.

12-11 All right, Historian, I see you. This episode still has some of that goofiness (in this case Martin/Anna/Jason), but there was a more emotional resonance going on. Or perhaps because a good amount of this episode was back to Lulu adjusting to her life post-coma. And that reunion with Maxie resonated so hard. And the scene with them on the couch and Lulu was talking about love. Her vibe. Her looks. She was giving so much JMB Lulu...I had to remind myself it was not the same actress. Those scenes were well done. I've even enjoyed Carly and Lulu defualt (a little) to the Mini-Carly she used to be. AB has just been selling the Lulu return so well. Sadly, Lulu's story has gone from background C plot to just B plot because it now seems the A plot is 'Where's is Charlotte' rme with the focus on Anna/Jason and Brennan/Henchwoman this episode. I didn't mind it at all. Anna was actually being like herself again. Though the execution with Jason/Martin was that 'style.' But I thought it was clever how they are going about tracking Charlotte down. But I also thought it was clever how Brennan plans to track Charlotte down as well. I think I have gone on record as saying how much I love right-hand henchwomen...preferably evil ones...but this henchwoman of Brennan can leave. And while I don't like Pikeman being mentioned, I do love that the writers have not changed the throughline in case it was not clear (but given the writing battles we know why) that Valentin WAS the Head of Pikeman. And as always I live for Charles Masure in a suit. And I also live for a cameraman who is good at angles. The Curtis intrigues brought the C plot. And I loved him bringing Portia in on the know. But it's sad watching Drew and Nina now cuz of the woulda coulda shoulda of it. And now they just seem to be slowly going back to their old pre-PM beat of just disliking each other. Drew continued to be more and more slimy. But I'll give it to the cameraman again because halfway thru the episode well...I was surprised. That was uh abrupt. You know it's A plot when it gets the coda in the weekly episodes. I just can't believe it's about Charlotte...

12-13 Yeah, that week was very much giving...setting up the next set of dominos to drop. Like GH, Y&R totally lost the momentum they had going with the wedding. But...at least it looks pretty. I'll give Billy this much. At least he's a good enough friend that he went to deal with the Giggly Heffa. But ugh at a Sally/Billy/Giggly Heffa triangle. Other than that...did they just completely get rid of the Chancellor Park set for us to be still dealing with this cgi cuz darn. I love the Audra moment. But I loved that whole dynamic throughout this episode. I think it was THE story beat this week actually. We saw Nate and Audra growing closer as a couple all week. And it felt like a nice climax to that on Friday with Audra opening up in front of Devon and Lily and them accepting her. I'm sure there will still be some drama between them all, but it was a nice moment of growth. I was Team Michael in the Michael vs Phyllis scenes. We rarely get the fire from him and Lauren anymore.

12-10 Hehe. Erica Kane. That said...I saw a lot of flash, but no substance. But now that I'm getting an 'ear' by what to expect from which HWs' names is first, at least I know now who to throw blame and shade at moving forward as the characteristics of what the plot is for the episodes become clearer. And that works for me cuz that means I know who is bringing that stupid humor style I keep loathing that has started to crop up again. Because outside of the Erica Kane shoutout, it was soooo not needed. And while I don't like how things are going with Carly/Brennan, those scenes of them arguing really should not have come across like a scene from a CW show or any teen soap, but yet...smh. Now that I see what you all are talking about with Felicia...and given what happened with Dex when he mentioned his suspicions...DON'T YOU HURT FELICIA, YOU HACKS!!! Then it felt like the momentum got lost with Lulu's Awakening. We should still be dealing with her adjusting. But now it is turning into the 'Where's Charlotte?' storyline. And AB is selling that Spencer spitfire and that mama's love, but I just don't care for Charlotte. If she ain't coming home before X-mas, they could have saved this part of Lulu's story until next year and build it into February Sweeps. Right now, Lulu's story should be about adjustment and getting more time with her mother and her brother(S). Cuz no amount of good (cuz Lulu vs Nina WAS good) takes away from the overall plotting. Which is also why I was disappointed to see Brennan found out about that bug with the quickness. And while that was also built into the plot, it still felt too soon for me. But I will always take Charles Mesure in that suit cuz Mmmm Beast. It's contrived for the sake of it when there are other ways and conflicts they can use to build Carly/Brennan into a couple. And the contrived techniques continued with the story with Trina and Kai. So he surprised you by having his part of the art project ready and still focused on his football teammates...his goals AND your goals...and Trina STILL has an issue. There could have been a way to do that where you see a hint of respect and maybe love? start from Trina's end, but it just felt so contrived though I'm liking Trina with a POV. But I still wouldn't mind since Trina is actually getting story, the story turning into a triangle between her, Kai, and Gio. The only good Drew is a shirtless Drew for me because I loathe him any time he popped up on screen now. So funny from how I felt about Drew in the spring. He's gone from a prick to a creep and it's very ewwww. But giving Q at least. And I admit that the idea of a Michael/Curtis Drew takedown looks intriguing this episode. Perhaps because it gives Curtis something to do...and it looked like DT was actually invested again. Okay...NOW...Brad is coming across as a stalker. And I admit...I am loving the X-mas-ness of the last few episodes. Not the stupid college kids. But I love seeing Felicia with her grandkids. And it just reminds me how much good writing James and Georgie got this year that I actually go awwww now when they are on being kids. Makes me think of the old days of soaps when kids were not too much SORAS. Facts. I like to hear it since we know I love me some Liz.

Oh, I believe the reason behind the hiring. Just look at the writing, even the way to go (aka a relationship with Trina could have written itself with no retcon baby) has not saved him. I just don't want him dead. Unlike other Friends of Frank's... I agree with this. They really do favor each other. And that idea re: violin reminds me of when they recast Victoria on Y&R with Ameila Heinle and explained while she was away, she learned to love artwork. A shame he was lost in the shuffle in hindsight.

Hehe. Nope. As was mentioned a few days ago and I popped up and added, he...for now...is that character that is in not majorly connected to half the town and that's a godsend. And I like how the actor has improved somewhat. But the writing is simply letting him down. So I'll take a ship out, like TJ who the writing is letting down but not the extent of Gio, and poof! Gone.

In total agreement. I blame on Billy doing this revamp for having that sofa. See? Showing the front door to me...though I was happy for the camera angle...just showed that it looked...well...cheap. But a different setup...I think it is totally possible. I saw a whole other section was just added to the Abbott living room set and seeing this set again, they widened out the left area. Ed Scott just needs to keep right on going.

12-09 Awww at seeing Dex, Joss, Gio, and Trina together in the tree lot. Woulda coulda shoulda. lol. I had seen little things about the Liz/Lucky scenes. So I was not sure what I expected. Or how I would feel. But...I find my feelings mixed. It just seem like such a meet-cute. And when said meet-cute did not feel forced...which is how I liked meet-cutes...it really holds up and draws you in. JJ and RH are just so prefect together at points so it's funny to watch them dance around each other. And the scene with Lucky singing intercut with the flashback was sooo well done. But...perhaps it's just the fact that it's not my favorite pairing of Liz's that is on the current canvas. But I can be seduced into it. In any case, I love all this screen time for Elizabeth on my TV. FRAK YOU, KRISTINA! So you feel nothing about throwing that rude comment in Molly's face. Alright...I won't feel bad when Molly FINALLY slaps her in the face. And I liked that Molly put Alexis in check. Kristina wants to start again, when they should be putting their differences aside due to Sam's death...well...as another brunette with great hair used to say...GAME ON. Lulu as the C plot = meh. I would rather see Laura with HER DAUGHTER, but I still did like that Laura was talking out her feelings. And I see Martin has his accent back. And so...the rumor IS true. Cyrus killed Sam. So he's Dead Man Walking. And I guess we know why Dex is on his way out the door...

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
SLC A solid start to the cast trip. Lisa vs Bob. I knew it was coming for Bob to fall in with Angie K, Whitney, and Mary as friends, but seeing it unfold. It echoes so much the issues that Lisa and Angie K were having at the beginning of the season. Which is probably why when Bob was gathering Lisa at the dinner table, Angie K was sooo co-signing with her nods and looks. She's been there, done that. Lisa just is not a good friend because if your friend felt slighted, it's easy to smooth that over with an apology. Instead of explaining the room assignments like she did earlier in the confessional, she wanted to explode and be HBIC in her glass house...which Bob easily shattered. smh. And the other standout so far from the trip was Angie K. She was already doing great due to her great scene with Mary earlier in the episode. But her at that dinner table. From fighting with Meredith to fighting with Britini (yes, I'm using her name ) was funny. And it was good to see Meredith and Angie K reach a truce...again. But WHO put that bag in the chair? Just asking. LOL!!! LISA. I would think that when your friends keep mentioning how you yourself treat them, a person would do some self-reflection. Not Lisa. smh. The sad thing was that if she had only explained her way of thinking to Bob, I felt Bob would have understood. So since she refused, I didn't mind Bob gathering her all the way together. She even got strays. HEATHER. Irrelevant. And she tried. Inserting herself in between Lisa vs Bob. Ignored. MEREDITH. How petty of her to bring that gift to have it put in the chair to start mess with Angie K. And then Angie K threw it at Slutty Hair Brit...lol. But seriously, Meredith is at least working that feud with Angie K this episode. I'm just not sure if she will be able to let it go. WHITNEY. She got one good moment in there. Which is more than Heather so #winning. BOB. I was ready to be over her given how she's been acting the last several episodes. And she did not start off well at all this episode. But Lisa's refusal to give an apology irked me. And what irked me even more was the fact that Production cut out part of Bob's daughter storyline and a scene between Bob and Lisa that would have gone a loooong way to explaining why Bob was feeling a way on this trip. I didn't like that at all. I loved she was gathering Lisa though. Turned her every which way, but loose. Oh...and her being attacked by a dog before the trip was wild. ANGIE K. Was all aces this episode with me. Her and Sean and how shady he is toward Meredith was hilarious. Her being a good friend to Mary who finally opened up. A good choice given Angie K has similar family experience and could empathize. And then her at the dinner table...lol. She still has a way to go, but she can take on several people at once and she can READ. GROWTH. MARY. Awwww. That was so real. I was crying all over again watching Mary open up on camera. AND to another Housewife. Angie K was a good choice. A friend who took it in, can do discretion, and showed such empathy. Mary expressing how she was feeling and failing her son was just...heartbreaking. And to think...she provided such a funny moment right before that confession by walking into Angie K's house without her knowing? just hehe. No wonder she got an article in Vanity Fair today. A good start to the trip. And next week...MARY.

12-12 I was about to say a meh episode and about fell out to see the CHANCELLOR MANSION set!!! I mean...wow. Have we seen it since the Abby/Chance breakup? I would love for Ed Scott to do more with it, but a good start to see attempts to make it look like it has space. Kyle/Claire as Romeo/Juliet? Yeeeeah NOPE. That said...I guess the Victor/Claire and Jack/Kyle scenes were okay. At least Claire got to sit down with Victor directly. And I loved her bonding with Nikki and Victoria over clothes. Meanwhile, while it's a good story beat to play to see if there are any aftereffects from Jack and Diane fake fighting...I just didn't love that storyline so I would rather it was done, done. Love the beat being hit, hate the story. Nate/Audra are love. And I'm all for SD in those pants. And awww at that Lily/Devon coda. Storylines closing out.

12-11 Yay!!! So they are picking up the plot nugget they dropped from when Sharon met Alan. Good. I called it then at the start of Sharon unravelling so good to see it being picked up. That said...SERIOUSLY, GIGGLY HEFFA??? You now have doubts about Sharon running you off the road and your hatred for her is THAT much??? GIRL, BYE. Speaking of byes...STFU BILLY. I'm happy that Jack told him the truth about the manipulation, but of course Billy had to make it all about him. The only wrong move Jack made was offering Billy any kind of job. Let him suffer. I do have to say that I love seeing SC's hair styled a whole different way. It looks nice. Oooh now Kyle/Diane can be civil when Diane was saying the same thing at the start of that whole stupid storyline. Whatever, I'm happy they appear to be moving past it. Ooooo what are you planning now, Victor? I giggled when Sharon said that.
