10-8 Outside of the Alexis/Martin scenes and those Jason/Anna/Beast scenes (not that I don't mind staring at Charles Masure and the uhhh interesting camera angles on Steve Burton), this was another interesting episode to me. I can't believe how much I liked the Carly/Lucas scenes. He makes her so much more tolerable. Color me shocked. I feel that while Lucas has been in all the episodes since VH first aired, it does not at all feel forced. Okay, Carly always around does lol, but his return feels organic and slowly/well-paced. The next leg of Lucky's return has started. I continue to be surprised that while I hated the first part of it with him NOT being in Port Carles, that I feel so invested in him this week. His talk/denial with Liz. His talking to Lulu and sadly Rocco hearing him (and that little actor did such a good job IMHO). And his meltdown at Bobbie's. My issues aside, JJ is starting to feel comfortable being back and it shows. Yay for Felicia getting a little mini-story with the other PI who is probably working for Martin. But I'm enjoying how Holly also returning with Lucky is lighting up things with her, Mac, Diane, and Robert. Vets doing their thing. Love it! As I did Holly and Robert finally seeing each other. Poor Mac. Oh...Sam has already dived once to look for the gun. Interesting. Yay!!!

10-7 I loved every minute of it!!! I too am shocked. But first of all THANK YOU to wardrobe!!! I don't know whom idea it was to put CD in tight form-fitting jeans, but that bubble was perfection. lol. So were ALL the camera angles. And keep in mind, I don't even like CD, but he was looking good today. lol. Everything about Lucas's return has been good, but this was just next level for me. I literally gasped when Willow and Wiley saw Lucas. It took a moment right before they saw each other that I remember the Wiley storyline that we were just talking about here, but my heart went out to Lucas and VH played that so well. Meanwhile, YES to Maxie and Lucas!!! They had such good chemistry and a banter between them that I loved. I definitely want more scenes between them. And awwww at Lucas at Bobbie's grave. And Aidan coming out to Lucky. Awwww...those were some cute scenes. It made me think of me coming out to my own father. And double awwww at the Triple L reference. And hehe at Terry already knowing about Aidan before his father. Also resonated. Okay, I liked the Holly/Brennan scene. But this part of her storyline continues to play for me like it will be a swan song for her and Robert. But I'm enjoying all parts of it. The delayed in them meeting. Mac having issues with it which I can understand since Robert has made a home in PC and isn't running around so he gets to see his brother. And his brother has a love in town. Meanwhile, Diane finally got told. lol. Or perhaps it's just a story that isn't completely waka waka humor with the vets and it comes across very grown-up. Adult. I could care less for the Violet storyline. And I love Liz got the coda. Though sadden it was for the next twist in Lucky's storyline...the reveal he is NOT a match for Lulu. Le sigh. And so it begins...

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
OC Well, why I'm waiting for SLC and watching the Padres lose this round of games ugh...I figured I should mention where I'm at on OC Season 17. I've gotten to the napkin throwing incident. And that was sad to watch. Since Jennifer came in as Tamra's friend, it's sad that Gina managed to get a wedge between the two of them. That said, I do love that Jennifer is giving as good as she's getting. But ooooh girl!!! Tamra inviting the girl that started the whole Ryan tea in the first place to Emily's pool party!!! MESSY!!! It's been fun to watch how this 'she said, she said' has been snowballing, allowing Tamra to pivot off of coming for Shannon to mixing it up with someone else. Meanwhile, Gina setting up for her attempts to be relevant by coming for Heather. Le sigh. And of course, Emily was going to co-sign on anything. I was highly annoyed at them coming for Heather at Nobu. Thankfully, Heather has always been a smart cookie, so I liked her outmaneuvering Gina with a compromise. But now Heather might be Tamra's next target and I am just...siiiiigh...did Season 9 teach anyone anything? And unless you are Noella, you better come correct for Heather. And oh, look! VICKI. hehe. She seem more chill and less thirsty. TAMRA. Loooord!!! lol. She has been messy, but you know what? She just does it in such a way that it doesn't make me hate her. Or...love to hate? And that scene at Nobu? It was just chaos. And then her, Shannon, and the married guy at the bar with the waiter...lmao!!! It was crazy. And then the next episode with the mutual friend of her and Jennifer...Tamra knew Jennifer was about to resolve that so of course she came over there. Tamra just plays the villain so well. SHANNON. She's been background. But with the pot stirring going on with Tamra in terms of Heather, I guess she is about to get in the mess. GINA. Meh. At least she gave us some authentic moments with her relationship with her ex. Outside of that, she was being a little gnat to Heather. I found it annoying last season when she was up Heather's butt. And now that she's clearly trying to be relevant, her using Heather to do it is pathetic to me. And that Emily tried to chime in was just as bad. Speaking of... EMILY. Nothing of any interest going on with her. So of course she had to chime in for Gina when they were going at Heather at Nobu. I liked she was behind the pool party, but what else does she have? HEATHER. I mean...Heather has always been bougie and condescending, so why is it a problem for these ladies now? They were fighting for her favor during Noella's season. So it's a little late to try to pull a coup. And yet...that appears to be what is about to happen here. Le sigh. JENNIFER. She has been such a break-out star. She has been handling the Ryan mess pretty well. She matched Tamra's energy throughout without going over a dramatic edge. So far, so good. It has been a nice slow burn, but it looks like I am about to get to the meat.

And now that I see the BDSY ratings (.4), I gotta say it has to be the timeslot (9 PM). Though I do agree with what everyone else is saying about the changing viewing habits.

Ah, yes. I remember! Things that make you go hmmm. I totally agree. Both write themselves. And I'm still mad that before the Kristina recast, it appeared the writers were heading that way with Kristina vs Joss. Both actresses were giving catty and the writers were writing them scenes more. It's been so long since a young female rivalry that I was all for it. And even once the recast happened, there were signs (if uneven writing). But of course now the writers would go with a bland choice. Unless it gets messy.

GH: October 2024 Discussion Thread
I admit that it does feel odd to me to see Lucky and Jason in scenes because when I think of them together, I think of GV's Lucky. I can't seem to remember if JJ's Lucky and Jason interacted much at all in his last return due to all I remember is his Irish lass vs Liz. That said...I do like them in scenes for the reason you mention. They seem so unlikely given the history, but yet...it works. Moreso now that they are in the same boat. Well, it's not like Kristina can maintain the Joss/Kristina rivalry anymore so one of the Davis Girls had to do it. Heck, this rivalry might be even messier. I've been waiting for someone to confirm. THANK YOU.

10-4 I'm surprised. Everything surrounding Heather's death appeared to have snatch up momentum because these last few episodes have been watchable. A case of given how Heather has been connected to the current canvas that it truly has a rippling effect over everything and the fact that Y&R keeps their vets and legacy characters around, it simply HITS. The only flaw that I see in the Sharon/Heather storyine gradually taking the A story lead was that all the drama with Kyle vs Audra has vanished. And also Lily/Victor appeared like it is about to be on hold for a bit. And speaking of them...woooow. Lily and Victor scheming has been great to watch. Even Victor looked amused that Neil's little girl could be so crafty. And his look when Lily told him that Giggly Heffa has Lily's old job was PRICELESS. And like Victor, I am wondering how Lily is going to use Giggly Heffa to get her payback on Billy. Ironically, MS has been clocked in during the aftermath of Heather's death. I just teared up as she got Billy to come out of his latest A-hole mood to comfort her. I felt that. She's playing a mother's pain and not being able to help her son cope really resonated with me, surprising me. But Phyllis has been great in mom mode, handling Daniel with care, letting Summer know about the death, allowing Chance to be a son-in-law without being one, tearing into Sharon...which was justified for once. Not that she has been alone. MG is doing a masterclass on hearing your lover die. And that scream in the apartment after letting Paul know...WOOOW. The actress playing Lucy got me when she shot off the couch and went into denial mode when Daniel told Lucy about Heather. And SC continued to be bringing her A-game as a woman spiraling even though it appears she has lost a lot of that clam, rational Sharon that came back after SC's anniversary episode. AT LAST!!!! And by at last I meant...CHANCE BEING BACK WHERE HE SHOULD BE!!! Aka as a cop. And oh look...just in time for a MURDER MYSTERY. Don't tell me I manifested this into the universe? lol. On a typical note, I didn't like the camera angle, but CF looked great in those blue jeans which was not at all sagging. And just so I know I said it SHUT UP, BILLY!!! He has been so obnoxious this week. I would think punching him in the jaw would have humbled him, but NOPE!! And don't get me started on him trying to destroy Katie and Johnny's feelings for their grandfather...how would he feel if someone came for John Abbott? Exactly!!! And now he's treating workers at Chancellor (and I continue to love how NO ONE is acknowledging the name change. So does Victor hehe) like they are dirt? I was never so happy for Phyllis to get through to him by being a mother on the verge. That snapped him out of it and reminded us that he at least has a heart. Just so over him. And that Friday cliffhanger/coda of Sharon with the bloody rags. Well I was warned. But...well done.
