No, you are correct I believe. I think that was one of Deidre's demands. IIRC, she had a lot of demands. A certain amount of tv movies, special credits, crazy money, but hey good for her. I do think Deidre probably would have returned regardless even if it was later on though. Wayne absolutely got fired. JER really preferred Drake/John and wrote Roman poorly. There was absolutely still story for Roman even with only his children. Idk why it never happened. Eventually he bolted town (right after Sami's was raped) and became low key a dead beat dad. If the show and the writers didn't respect the character I am not sure why you bring him back at all is my point I suppose. Josh Taylor's version certainly hasn't helped the cause lol.

Unless Laura Wright chooses to leave I don't think the show would ever make that move. Just like I don't think the show will ever fire Mo. It's been too long to change something like replacing Carly's at this point even if I think Carly is a pretty stale character these days. Obviously both SJB and TB are very talented. It's not something I would touch though if I didn't absolutely have to and you know FV won't.

The Lullaby Massacre is a great montage/cliffhanger. It was a pivotal moment for several stories. Stone admitting he had AIDS to Robin, Brenda realizing Sonny was not legit, and Laura seeing Luke and her children were in serious danger.

I think Easton has some appeal, but I got lost after the first character and I couldn't even tell you the names of the characters he played at this point. I sadly remember his demon spawn better than him.

I would argue both Tamara and SJB deserve a 3rd character more than Easton ever deserved a 2nd one so I am okay with that. lol

I don't have a need for SJB to be back but also wouldn't care much. That's not a slight on either actress though. I would just go with the flow. It wouldn't be a "we are hiring Michael Easton for his 15th role" sort of catastrophe for me lol. I do think LW has gotten better and lost some of the screechy histrionics she was prone to in the early Carly years. It is unfortunate that Laura can generate chemistry unless it's with Sonny or Jason which is probably an issue.

Lol! Since Tamara played Oscar's mom on GH I can see her with Eden. But we can let Eden go if necessary.... You could absolutely re-work the part for Sarah. I would probably ditch Ava or Nina and give Carly a much harder edge after Bobbie dying and her failed romances. I think Laura is a lifer by now, but if the show wanted to go with Jason and Carly again they should hire Tamara. I surprisingly liked them together on Days.

I don't think I need a disclaimer saying I am a John/Marlena shipper lol and loved the docks scene. I also really loved Wayne Northrop. I know the Tale of Two Romans leads to the affair and that is one of my favorite stories. I do wonder if the show ever should have brought Wayne back. The show would have been a very different place in the 90's, but long term Roman's character became completely secondary. I would have at least made John Roman again after Wayne left. It wouldn't have really changed that much from a storytelling point of view. John basically replaced Roman anyhow. It would really only affect who the children could marry and the yearly retcons of who John really was.

I truly can't imagine SJB having a bunch of conversations in her kitchen next to her moss. I can't imagine her as Joss's mom. I can't imagine her playing the long game with Brennan or hooking up with Valentin. I can't imagine her running Kelly's. So basically I agree lol. I don't see her working well now with what Carly has become. I could see TB stepping back into the role. She is my favorite Carly, so I might be biased. It's a shame she came back to play that dud of a character Kim. At this point LW works with what she gets just fine. There's no need for a change. I wouldn't be against seeing what SJB could do with the role currently though.

It's a bit difficult for me to envision SJB playing Carly currently. LW does a fine job. I think all the Carly's were quite different and LW is #3 on my list too.

LW has never struck me as a huge diva either. She seems relatively down to earth. The only thing I will say is that her and Wes were pretty off putting while he was on the show. I get it's her boyfriend and she was defending him and all that. They both seemed kind of pretentious about the whole thing. Peter wasn't a popular character lol. All the other rumors about her seem false, but I'd be pretty annoyed the show kept re-hiring past Carlys too lol.

Beautifully stated. The actual moment Brenda hears Lily is pregnant you can see both VM and MB almost collapse in pain. Brenda did immediately start something up with Jax 10 minutes later, but it made sense. She knew it was over (for the moment obviously). Sonny's conversation with her is actually really great. MB was good back then.

It's not exactly the dialogue being wrong it's more the phrasing being confusing. Like Gabi saying I have known Theo since high school. So it becomes vague like you've known Theo since he was in high school or you went to high school with him? Or when Cat said Aaron was out of town which I think implied while Sophia was pregnant? It's almost like they don't finish entire thoughts on screen.

Lol! We have info on Alexa HAVINS refusing kissing scenes? That does not seem to be the case. She doesn't have that power as you can see by the writing of Lulu. The show cast a pretty wide net to try to find a new Lulu. I highly disagree she is coming in with huge demands especially since her husband is an actor and gets it.

I agree. I think it's a rough road because Mo stated he struggled before with the material and it affected his mental health. Just see how long the show kept Kirsten Storms. With Mo's open mental health diagnosis, I am not sure the show can actually do anything about it and in general I don't think GH wants to take that hit because Sonny has fans not named Carolineg, I swear!!!

Lily/Sonny and Brenda/Jax have a few really good scenes before Brenda decides to go to the Canada cabin in the snowstorm because she's stupid and hopes Sonny will rescue her that really reflect how well Lily/Sonny and Brenda/Jax work better together. The narrative now is that Sonny actually loved Lily. Not true, but he loved the idea of her. I remember Brenda saying he would have eventually fallen for her. Who wouldn't? Or something similar to that. I would have obviously raised my hand in disagreement in 1996. I think GH was a bit more subtle than I was in 1996 to be fair lol.

I don't know what's going on with Days dialogue lately, but there have been several lines that have been confusing the last few weeks. From Gabi/Theo to Cat saying Aaron was out of town and now this. The phrasing of certain things has been odd to say the least.

So I will give the show and RP credit. The obviously had to pivot hard with the Kirsten Storms of it all and make new moves. He and Alexa do have an interesting dynamic. And yes I hope Brennan and Drew just live on top of one another unable to speak. I can't believe the budget tight GH is letting CM blink for months lol.
