  1. They did at least on a surface level. I feel like that was the first time the show made it seem like Sami/Belle had a long history of being at odds though and always had a tenuous relationship. And I never thought that was the case.
  2. Belle/Sami were fine once KS was brought in as an aged up Belle. Things got rocky when Sami returned during the shoot the bride Marlena/John wedding and it didn't come out of nowhere, but was ramped up to the extreme. The show pretends that Sami/Belle never got along. I would disagree with that though. I think it was a way to try to recreate the Sami/Carrie feud, tbh.
  3. You hit the nail on the head about the actress's lack of charisma. The show didn't need a big name for Michael's love interest. Everyone starts somewhere. The arc ended for Jacinda and there was no reason to bring her back. There is nothing special about this actress at all. Nothing from her looks, to her acting, to her chemistry with Rory stand out. She's not even comically bad. She's just there. All GH had to do was cast a wider net for actresses in their late 20's to early 30's and let Mark Teschner do his job. Paige Herschell can't be the only actress in Hollywood that works for cheap lol. Or, you know, GH could dump a few recurring players and shell out some money for their younger leading man's love interest as well lol.
  4. I think it's the smirking. Lol. I agree Chandler never seemed (seems) unhappy. He just doesn't care that much or has moved on. He likes the fun little few days and is happy to go back to his regular life after.
  5. Modesty lol. The point isn't getting across though because Willow, Maxie, Lulu all look like relatable humans while BLQ looks like a mom from an early 90's sitcom.
  6. I would hold off on recasting Sami. AS is pretty iconic and is still willing to return so I wouldn't move on that yet. Chandler is like Chad Duell to me. They were good, but got bored and disinterested as they got older.
  7. I actually like some of Alexa Havin's outfits (not todays), but it seems like they dress her very casually while the show wants to project Brook Lynn as being very put together and fancy-even if she looks worse. Setton has never met a satin long sleeve button up blouse she didn't like.
  8. I know you've said this before but she's always looked frumpy to me. I think her hair has been better but she has always projected a bit matronly. But I may be just thinking about the Ugly duckling/Princess Sabrina era and it was for contrast.
  9. Britt has never been super sexy. Or sexy at all. She's always been shopping at the Gap for the worst blazer suits, but if she was an actual pleasant person with a tiny bit of charisma you could overcome some of that.
  10. I have personally never got the Chandler Massey obsession. He is ok and has good chemistry with Ali and Deidre, but he mostly smirks his way through scenes? To me he's decent, ok looking guy that could easily be recast because Will as a character should be onscreen. Chandler has a regular job so it's not like the show would be hurting him if they recast.
  11. They should have intercoms or something lol. Do they just call one another when dinner is ready? It was an obvious case of tape blocking because Dante was there too for part of the episode, but didn't see Lulu or his mother. Did anyone even mention calling Tracy? Someone may have and I missed it.
  12. Oh, I am sure there is crossover on these boards. I did look at JS's hair today and thought it was exceptionally poofy so maybe I am falling for this theory lol. Wasn't Brook Lynn upstairs when Olivia found out about Ned? Lol. She couldn't have told her? Or at least checked if she was home? The fact that Nathan and Chase are going to partners makes me fear I really will consider them the same character. Michael being savage with Nina was great, but I think we can all agree Jacinda is not.
  13. JS/Chase's hair looks perfectly normal? I honestly have never truly paid attention to it or him though lol. Drew is entertaining, but the show may have gone a bit too far with him. He should at least have a few redeeming qualities or at least pretend to in public. The thing about DA bot and Sonny, aside from them being horrible, is a lot of their meet cute interactions don't fly in 2025 because there were about 10 other ways DA could have gotten her tire changed without having to try to do it herself and walk to Sonny's. I know the show thinks it 1995 still with Sonny, but with phones, internet, uber, etc. it only makes DA lady look dumber than usual. Plus, adding a kid in to try to make her likeable doesn't work no matter how adorable Donna is. Portia just really doesn't know how to stop making the same mistakes over and over. As much as I like Gio and Emma, why are Charlotte/Rocco their accomplices? Honestly, what is Emma even trying to get from the lab? The research?
  14. Well, at least it's easy for Mo to remember the dialogue since he's said the same thing to every love interest since 2003 lol.
  15. Haha! There have been a few rumors throughout the years about the DH/SR issue, but all I can say is the dynamic changed once Deidre/Drake returned in 2011. It's a shame because those two actually did seem like they were close offscreen and it's sad Marlena/Maggie aren't able to be there for one another as longtime, dear friends on the show. As far as Chappell/KA, they both seem unlikeable to me lol. KA is just less messy than CC and her wine fueled rants. At the end of the day these women are way too old to be that petty, but I lowkey find it hilarious.
  16. Well, I don't think they are going on brunch dates or anything, but I think they at least try to pretend everything is good publicly. It would help if Deidre didn't actively look like she wants to murder Suzanne in scenes although they rarely share space so it's not a huge deal.😂
  17. There was a video maybe 4 or 5 years ago of Suzanne and Deidre hugging at Day of Days or some fan event, so I think they are mostly okay with one another-or pretend to be. They certainly radiate hatred when on screen together still though lol. It's a shame they had a falling out because they were obviously once close. She and Wayne are the only two people from Days that appear in everyone's favorite movie-Never Say Never: The Deidre Hall Story.
  18. Monica reacting to her bastard lol
  19. She always has. Picking and choosing a few scenes from years ago is an odd take. I can take about a 1000 other scenes where Monica considers him her son. He is her son.
  20. Monica considered him a bastard in 1982. Feelings don't change. It's the only right answer. What we saw on screen was just part of the AI thread. Mo was hot and can bring the spark if necessary. Unfortunately Vanessa seems to be his safe, default place and Frank is having none of that. Lol. Jason was brought back 1991 and he had his accident at the end of 1995, but lets just call it all the same lol.
  21. It's not the age of the scenes but the actual current narrative? Monica considered Jason her son a few months after that scene. The hiring of Steve and the accident were years apart. Do you actually watch GH? Also, you were that person that said Cat and Sarah were too old to have kids so is the ageist narrative only right when it serves you?
  22. So a few scenes from 40 years ago negates the fact that Monica considers Jason her son? And Jason considers her his mother? Nothing since Steve Burton was cast has said anything differently. Skye deserves all the shade.
  23. Monica considered Jason, Drew, and Emily as her own children. It's not just Alan's concern. She raised Jason since he was a baby. Someone like Skye, who Alan decided to adopt as a full grown adult when she turned out to be not his daughter, is an Alan problem. That's why no one mentioned her.
  24. I could see a world where Monica saw the good in both Drew/Jason and wanted them to work things out. Leaving the estate to both of them would do that. But........I am totally fine with her leaving the house to Tracy.
  25. I think Frank tried really hard to make Sam fade away lol It would have been amusing to watch Drew/Jason battle it out for the house, but I am not sure Jason cares enough?
