Dante really needs to chill. He forgave his own father after he shot him in the chest, but is getting all up in arms about some dogs? Also, the actors holding those dogs was adorable. Honestly, Jason has a lot of flaws. I accept that. I still feel like he is way too mature and experienced to deal with the hot mess that is Britt. She's 40 plus and would be an awful partner for him. Getting drunk at bars, causing scenes, being an overall selfish jerk. Jason, the hitman, deserves better lol.

He would absolutely pair her with Nathan lol. For the Faison and Maxie angst.

Yeah, I have been saying for a while now that Scotty could easily take Martin's place. He obviously wouldn't be related to Laura, but he could even take Martin's place as a confidante or talk to for her. The history with Lucy and Tracy makes it much easier to sell a romance since 5 minutes will be devoted to it a month and there's at least history there to make it believable with minimal effort. Outside of looking the part, I don't see it. Paige Herschell isn't a strong enough actress to take on that pivotal of a role. Although as I believe @Vee has been saying for years, Serena would be a good love interest for Michael in theory.

I actually don't hate the Jacinda actress either. She's just bland and out of her league with Rory's Michael. Maybe if the show developed her more as Nina's snarky assistant or made her stand out in some way it could be a fun fling down the road. Jacinda wouldn't necessarily bother me in some recurring capacity. I know the show is trying to develop some pattern with Michael and thinks this is similar to the Abby romance, but there was some innocence in the Abby romance. Michael was barely an adult and it was kind of sweet. Michael is way too old, too experienced, and too jaded to think this romance will work. I don't think Tracy or anyone else has done anything about Martin and the will.

I think Brady is being a little bit hypocritical, but I also am unclear as to why Marlena kept it from Brady. I don't find Marlena's reasoning terribly compelling. Now, Brady should have took into consideration that Marlena was grieving, ill, struggling and perhaps not thinking clearly. I still have a hard time defending Marlena's reasoning for not letting Brady know though.

Oh, believe me, I wasn't advocating it. It was a vibe I was getting at the time. It would have been pairing Rory's Michael with Jacinda level wasteful. I can't even remember the last Alexis story I enjoyed. Maybe her alcoholism story when she drunkenly slept with Ned? Mostly because I liked Ned/Alexis. I know, I know. Olivia and Ned serve their purpose nicely, but I find them boring.

I am glad Alexis is practicing law again so there's that. I don't even mind Alexis in the capacity she is used in now. It just seems like a waste of talent to let Alexis mostly be stuck reacting to everyone else without her own story. Hilariously, I low key thought the show was possibly going to pair Alexis with the above-mentioned Harmony for a minute.

It's sort of unclear who raised Gio. He was 10 or 11 when his mom died. The way the show explained it was vague, but I think he spent the year in his performing arts school (that Sonny paid for), stayed with various Cerullo relatives during his time off, and did music programs during the summer. He wasn't in an orphanage or adopted so I really have no idea who is legal guardian was, but it seems like multiple people were looking out for him. Gio is a made up character from scratch. He first appeared at Brook Lynn/Chase's wedding playing the violin.

It felt like the show kept forgetting to give NLG a story a suddenly threw something together every year. The Kiefer sister story was full of holes because even Kristina didn't recognize her. Alexis has honestly been an afterthought for years. She appears but rarely does much to this day. The Gladys/Harmony period was probably the most difficult era to endure. Everything about Gladys and Bonnie Borroughs portrayal was like nails on a chalkboard to me. For whatever reason, she is probably my most hated character on GH in the last decade or two and she lingered on. She lasted at least a year too long (if she ever needed to exist) and still got away with stealing all Sasha's money.

I was wondering if they are on a path to make Michael a bit unhinged as well. Willow doesn't exactly look much better in this, but perhaps the show is trying to level the playing field on custody? Kind of just sucks for the kids though lol. Which parent is worse?

I think it's a fake out as well. I suppose it widens the suspect pool so we don't have to listen to another entire episode of Dante and Nathan contemplating the same 4 suspects over and over.

Lol! I always hoped one day during Lucas's many absences he'd return married to Jamie.

Selina would not be the shooter. She hired someone to do it-if that's actually the shooter. Gio's adoptive parents are both dead. His adoptive dad died before he was born and his mother died of cancer when he was a kid. He was brought to town to play music at Brook Lynn's wedding, so Lois and Gloria actively were playing with fire by bringing him to PC. I think Rory Gibson is very good and much sexier than CD, but there's also something low key creepy about his take. Watching Drew/Willow's wedding from outside the window lol?

I sort of liked the first Phillip too. The original Mimi I truly barely remember except the fact she had really pretty curly hair lol. I still think Mimi mostly falls into the sidekick role even if she eventually got story. It's like Sami's friend Jamie walked so Mimi could run lol. Seriously, what ever happened to Jamie (besides marrying RKK in real life)?

ALL: Recasts who were quickly accepted by the audience
I am not sure there was anything to accept lol. The actress that played Mimi originally was only in a few episodes. Most people probably don't even know FF didn't originate the role. It's like the actor that briefly originated Phillip before JKJ-no one remembers. I am no huge Farah Fath fan, but there weren't any big shoes to fill. She made the character of Mimi. And, yeah, it took Mimi like 2 years to get a story lol.

I was there until the Selena Wu reveal, which I guess doesn't help the cause of needing a woman to hold his hand, but I thought it was a pretty bold, surprising move.

I honestly took it more that Trina was irritated that everyone was lying to her, but it came off odd that everyone including Stella is sooo invested in the Portia/Curtis marriage for outdated reasons. The family is more invested than Portia or Curtis. I also am curious why Jordan was even in the room with Curtis while he was questioned. How exactly is that helpful?

Parents that literally weren't together most of her life lol. She didn't even know Curtis was her dad until she was an adult or almost an adult.

Why wouldn't Farah Fath be in the category of easily accepted as Mimi? She was. The first actress appeared in only a few episodes.

I think the whole Kendra thing was tied to Shiloh and Dawn of the Day because everything on the show was back then lol. I remember the name Kiefer Bauer and eyerolled that. The abuse story was a pretty good idea in theory, but it had major flaws. It was way too violent, showing a bloodied and beaten Lexi Ainsworth getting knocked around by a huge man that looked 10 years older than her. Then it made Kristina look bad because she became a liar and accused Ethan to protect Kiefer. And in end it became about Sonny and Luke's pain over the whole situation because Sonny saw his mom get beat up and Sonny might have to kill Ethan lol. That would totally ruin Luke/Sonny's bromance. Then in conclusion Alexis's notoriously bad driving skills were on display when she ran Kiefer over.

Lol! I swear they brought Keifer sister back maybe 10 years after Kiefer died and she was Alexis's fitness trainer with a revenge plot. I don't think the plot lasted more than a few months. Let me see if I can google her name. I want to say it was a K name too. ETA-Kendra. It was in late 2019. She tried poisoning Alexis with protein powder then kidnapped her and tried to run her over with her car. Lucas then accidently killed Kendra by running into her car before she could kill Alexis.- That's from GH wiki. I remember vague details, but the entire plot sounds like a fever dream when I read it.

Sonny shooting Carly in the head is one of the strangest Guza choices ever. I think Pratt was involved too. Whenever it is (rarely) brought up I love the way the show somehow explains it away. It still makes me chuckle. Anyhow, I think Kristina actually getting abused by Kiefer led to her realizing Sonny wasn't that bad. They reconciled after the whole ordeal. Didn't they bring back Kiefer's sister years later? She was out to get Alexis through Pilates or something and then died?

I don't think people hate on the Kristina/Keifer story because of Sonny or the fact he has too many kids. I don't think people really hated the initial Kristina/Keifer plot at all, although I thought it was pretty graphic at times. It eventually went entirely off the rails with Alexis running Keifer down, Kristina blaming Ethan, and Bradley Cole as Keifer's father having a shoot-out in the hospital. I wouldn't say it was anywhere near the worst storyline of that year and I did like Kristina/Ethan.

I don't recall Ava ever interacting with Leo either, but it may have happened when he was younger. I think once Ned adopted him the audience was supposed to forget Julian was his father and I am personally fine with that. I generally don't think Ava needs to reach out and be close with every wayward Jerome child. It's not like Olivia and Julian were anything. I agree about the teens/young adults needing some heat. Joss gets hers, but everyone else is very chaste. The 90's era with Jason, AJ, Brenda, and even Robin seemed much more open to sex and frankly more realistic. The teens on GH have been pretty Puritan for a while though-and if they weren't they got pregnant lol.

I agree Mo seems to get very uncomfortable going outside of normal Sonny stories. I don't think he's faking his issues or being lazy exactly so perhaps bringing someone he's very familiar with like Vanessa might make him more at ease to play that type of story? And obviously that's no diss to Maura West who obviously is wonderful. The Karen/Jagger rehash was too late and strange. There were backstage things happening clearly, but Sonny has mostly admitted to doing what he did to Karen. Jagger was speaking for the victim and that was annoying. It's not his fight or his pain to feel, especially 30 years later (and after their marriage ended because he cheated). To be honest, I would have been fine never seeing Jagger or Karen again and know they lived happily ever after. They were a specific place and time like you said and while you can make room for them there isn't much of a reason to in any other era of the show.
