  1. I swear 50% of the male characters were dead by the time GH changed that odd opening. Even if they flip flopped the men and women everyday it would have been better. I just only remember Luke getting up from the chair like is this shoot over yet? Lol.
  2. I personally was always perplexed with Mac ending the opening. The beginning seemed more intentional character wise. I did notice that even if the shots changed the characters maintained similar spots. Brenda, Sonny, Jax, Robin were all carrying major story and were always in the middle and never really moved from there-the show just added or deleted characters. I thought they maintained the right groupings for the most part though.
  3. I held out hope for Wayne coming back as well. It sort of looked like a triangle today, but I actually liked Roman/Marlena in this episode. I don't think JT and DH have any romantic chemistry at all. I do think they play friendship and familiarity well. Roman's very sweet and kind to her. I like Kate/Roman and always have. I can understand the Roman/Marlena bond though even if I am not keen on a triangle.
  4. At the time I did think it was a good move for Jason as a character. Looking back, Idk? He always should have gotten his memory back. I do think they tried to keep Jason in the mix with Emily and Lila, but Monica/Alan did get shifted on the story.
  5. Well, I don't think a pregnant Lois hanging around Jax would have been the best look regardless. Obviously I have 0 problem with Jax ending up with Brenda. I like the idea of introducing a new character and having them chemistry test around town instead of having a super set plan. Honestly Jason's accident and Jax feel very Guza to me. I have no idea though. While Labine loved some depressing stories Stone dying on top of Jason being in an accident feels like too much for Labine. How much more can we hurt Robin? Lol.
  6. It's been so long, but I think Riche let him do Broadway with the intent of bringing him back if necessary. I don't think Miguel's tour was more than a few months. I assume Jax was an easy filler for the spot Miguel could have played in the Clink/Boom arc, especially since Jax/Brenda were much better received than Miguel/Brenda were. Although on paper, Miguel being the father of Lily's child/ex-fiancé would make the stakes higher since Jax really couldn't care less about Lily. Considering Jax was initially for Lois and Rena decided to leave the show probably shuffled some things around to make it work. Besides no one was really clamoring for a Miguel return and I feel like ABC daytime was really obsessed with Australian actors in this era lol.
  7. I believe Ricky Martin was let out of his contract early to do Les Mis on Broadway, so he might appear in the credits for a bit after he left. They didn't always update them that quickly. And, the internet does not back me up on this, but I remember Miguel making a quick cameo after he initially left when Sonny/Lily are about to get married. Brenda calls him to get him to help break up the wedding and he declines and tells her she's being a crazy person. This does not deter Brenda however. I hope someone else on this board remembers this and I am not having Miguel Morez hallucinations. And, yes, it's Brenda/Sonny on the beach. Them jumping off the tram and them on the beach appeared for years in the credits-long after VM left. I would almost say all the way through the Faces of the Heart opening era.
  8. It is strange Trina is THAT invested in her parents marriage, especially since it really doesn't affect her life much. She doesn't even live with them lol. Tbh, though, the entire Ashford clan seems to be obsessed with Curtis's love life, not just Trina. I am the first to admit I preferred SM's Trina and it took me a minute to warm up to TA. I don't think TA is miscast, but I do get the sense sometimes the material bores her. Which, same lol. While Joss is off on her spy adventures, Trina is talking to Kai about her parents marriage for the 1000th time. I know times have changed and the budget is tight, but the show islands these young characters in a way they didn't in the 90's or 2000's. Trina gets stuck with the same characters talking about the same thing when she could talk to Emma or Gio about her problems.
  9. She probably was good at her job when she first started. I am just used to her tanking her life on a daily basis so I forgot. I assume more is coming, but no one is ever angry in the relationship.
  10. Probably. Portia never seemed very competent, but no one at the hospital really does. There is a slow build and there is whatever is happening now lol. I am sorry I fell asleep because BLQ and Chase are that boring. Unless I am trying to get inspiration for the world's largest blazer from Brook Lynn they are just dull.
  11. The lack of conflict between Brook and Chase is so odd. They are dull on their best day, but the show seems to think happy equals boring. It's going to be strange when Chase cheats on her with Willow because the two of them haven't had a disagreement in 4 years. The ruining Portia's life stuff? It's silly. Sure, I feel bad for Portia, but the woman has made consistent idiotic decisions her entire run. I am sure Britt will get her job and the wacky hijinks can ensue with off screen Terry and Brad.
  12. Could you even imagine if Lulu did something like that to Carly? Frank's treatment of Lulu is actually having the opposite effect for me. I don't even like Lulu much and I am 100% on her side. Havins is fabulous and is being made to be the villain at every turn. She's still more entertaining than BLQ crying over Gio and his violin. Although, same Brook, same. Gio and his violin are fabulous.
  13. I am no Britt historian or anything, but I think the narrative is that Britt is a very good doctor. Carly betraying Lulu is just another dump on the Lulu character. It's clear FV has no time for Lulu at all.
  14. I don't think Britt stealing eggs was ever an issue lol. She kept her license for years after that and I don't recall her suffering any consequences for the embryo switch. In fact, she was made co-chief of staff later on. Portia basically got Britt's job, so since Portia got suspended I bet Britt will get the position again. The current issue at hand was Britt faking her own death. Carly betraying Lulu like that is out of character. Carly does a lot of wacky things and is selfish, but I think it's awful how she went behind Lulu's back especially considering how close Lulu/Carly were (are?).
  15. I thought the entire episode was really good-even the Davis girls. I usually eyeroll their noodle/cuddle time stuff, but Cody was fun with them and Scout showing up was nice. I hope there is a time in the near future that they start calling Scout her real name Emily though.
  16. Lol! Much like Martha Jefferson and perhaps Betty Buckley, I am easily impressed by a hot guy playing the violin.
  17. I am not one to get choked up on musical numbers on soaps, but when Gio played his violin, I was like Emma in the background tearing up. He's very talented.
  18. I am OK without Emily even if I believe that was a mistake too. You could easily plug her in at the hospital or at the Q mansion. Any recast or even NL would at least be more romantic and viable than Setton lol. Georgie is a big issue considering all Storms's health issues. LL can be recast but she was such a reliable player it's a shame GH chose wrong on this. I wish Storms the best, but we could have had an actress that was willingly available to fill a similar role all this time.
  19. The thing with Sean/AJ is that even if Ron hated him and the character there was no need to kill AJ off again, especially at Sonny's hand. If it was Sonny's great downfall, maybe. But there was very little consequence to Sonny's actions and now most of the audience still thinks what would AJ do if he were still alive? Killing off AJ and Georgie are the two biggest GH mistakes in the last 2 decades. Killing off Alan was a mistake at the time, of course, but AJ and Georgie had years and years of viability left.
  20. But also chiding Michael for getting blacked out drunk and said please don't be like me.
  21. AJ full on spit out his water when Michael told him he slept with Brenda. It was hilarious
  22. Sean Kanan's spit take on hearing the news that Michael might have slept with Brenda forever lives in my head.
  23. Yeah. To me it felt like too quick of an arc. Jax was telling everyone things were so different now and blah, blah. Brenda immediately went to visit Sonny and he rejected her. I always figured they'd marry them off with the lingering notion that Jax was never Brenda's first choice. Carly blowing it up seemed too soon for a story that could have lasted for years if everyone was available. The Michael stuff felt very tacked on with Starr randomly leaving. Olivia and Carly were legit musing that Sonny might actually kill Brenda if she slept with Michael. Like...I don't think Sonny would ever consider that, but multiple characters said that.
  24. Hmm..I thought Ron was probably all in on dumping Brenda/Jax together with a HEA, while she was going to still be longing for Sonny. I thought it was all designed to make Brenda look like a wishy washy whore, but Jax/Brenda were the arc. He wanted to put a pin in it and move on to possibly revisit later. Vanessa was all in on Sonny/Brenda at this point, but she seemed to have a good relationship with Ingo back then. It made way more sense to pair her with Jax then it did to randomly fake sleep with Michael.
  25. I don't think Vanessa was that keen on the Michael story tbh. Hence why Frank has rumored to call her difficult and part of the reason she's never been back. Ingo getting Dancing with Stars made him have to leave immediately after about 2 episodes. I am assuming she was pitched the idea of Jax/Brenda getting a HEA and it all blew up due to scheduling.
