JPL is such an odd choice. I am sure JPL is a fun guy and cool and whatever, but Phillip isn't this weird jokester of a character making wisecracks and silly faces all the time. Even Real World Star Kyle Brandt played Phillip with appropriate seriousness. It has never worked and it never will. JPL seems to be playing himself? Also, Days did JKJ dirty his last run making him practically a psycho so I doubt he will ever come back.

I think Kristina was either supposed to be killed off in utero or as a baby anyway, but fans and NLG put up a fuss. Maybe the show was onto something years ago.

It's probably the Gabi/Titan stuff. I didn't realize JPL is recurring. He's on a lot.

Honestly, we are lucky to even see Casey Moss at this point. He airs like once a month. It's been time to use him and Brandon Beemer more regularly, but instead we have JPL doing a vaudeville act using as many goofy faces he can muster 4 times a week.

I don't think soaps in general do surrogate stories well. The Britt/Lulu/Rocco "surrogacy" story should never have happened, never been revisited, and Rocco shouldn't care at all about the embryo stealer. I am not giving the show a pass on Kristina's story, but I do think HP's DUI and the recasting of Molly's derailed a lot of the story. The whole idea should have been scrapped once HP got arrested and the show was forced into emergency recasts. The show instead let Mansi do most of the heavy lifting in the story and the results created a very lopsided point of view for Kristina that did her no favors.

I don't know why the show didn't give Kristina a breakdown and have her institutionalized for a while. There was probably no coming back from that baby fiasco, but at least a mental illness would give the character a short break and give GH time to reset the character. The abrupt end to the Blaze romance and Blaze getting dumped off the show with the rumor that Mansi wasn't into the pairing didn't help bring audience favor either. I think they had some fans. A lot of mistakes were made with Kristina and it was clear Mansi would bolt eventually especially since she went from carrying the show for half a year to nothing. The whole Irene story along with Blaze will never be mentioned again once Lexi or whoever comes back as Kristina down the line and we will all wonder what the point of it all was. TJ's already been shipped off and forgotten. The show was right there with Alexis and then......Kristina was fine? Strange. Like I said a breakdown, treatment, and an apology tour would have made a world of difference for the character. It's not like Mansi couldn't play it. Abby was crazy like half the time Mansi played her lol.

I get that. I thought she was so off and had a lack of self awareness that she maybe came off smug when she was legit crazy lol. I was waiting for some sort of mental breakdown and it all sort of fizzled out?

I like Kate Mansi a lot. Kristina and the writing was never a right fit for her. I don't think she was smug necessarily, but almost delusional and Mansi can come off cold. Even her styling was very harsh.

Yes. I think it got a bit muddled because Blaze identified as a lesbian. Kristina never did. They handled it slightly better with Chanel on Days where she said she was fluid and everyone moved along. Kristina has past trauma with male relationships, but I never thought she wasn't attracted to both men and women.

Kristina said she has a different type now. She didn't explicitly say she was gay. It was hard for me to read if she was joking and catching Ethan up or if she was saying she was a lesbian. I took it as she literally had different types now. Not that she only wanted women. I feel like this debate has been going on forever (not by you) and I have always thought she was fluid or bi.

Lol! I originally used it because the dress is so ugly and everyone made fun of it at the time. It looks like something is crawling up her arm and trying to eat her face. I've kept it all these years because it's a good picture of Brenda and also I am too lazy to change it lol.

Oh, I have no hope of a Kristina/Ethan pairing. Ava is fine. Lexi's already camped out at the studio. Filming a years worth of scenes in 2 hours lol. We've discussed this, but Mansi was always slightly miscast to me. She had potential. It just never gelled.

Well @Vee did call this. No real loss. Too bad Mansi was horribly mismanaged as Kristina. I had high hopes. Lexi will be back by Christmas appearing in 2 episodes to flirt with Nathan and then we will see 5 times a year again. Go back to Days, Kate!!!

Correct. Bringing Paevey back is a separate issue. He's done nothing wrong and seems like a nice guy. I have no use for him at all but he's handsome and decent enough I suppose. RP is just taking a paycheck for an inane story. Continuing to enable Storms and hope she was up to this story seems like a fanciful idea. Sure, KS has had moments of clarity and had a really strong comeback in 2024. The minute she decided to follow her ex-husband across the country and away from her job is where Frank should have quietly let her go. The show hasn't made any real statement, but I would assume she's gone for good now, correct? It seem obvious that she is. The show has also given her a million chances though.

But was she really involved? She had about 5 scenes with Nathan total. I do feel bad for Bradford, but I don't think he is willing to commit to much time on the show so I am not sure he cares. Frank had to know there were some issues. There's always been issues. If Frank is the godfather of her child there is the idea he is close with both KS and BB. Brandon never gave him any heads up and Frank is now shocked a girl that's had problems since her teens is unreliable? Since Days I believe. Frank had his head in the sand if he thought she was going to be fine.

I wonder if Frank really knew she was that erratic or if there was a deal in place for her. If he gave Kirsten time off she would agree to do this and this and this and it didn't happen. Perhaps Frank had confidence she would take care of herself and proceeded with RP's hiring. I agree it's pointless with or without Kirsten. I don't think anyone was truly clamoring for a "Nathan" return.

Oh, I am sure her current issues cut the return short. I don't think the return was supposed to be anything but permanent. It's odd they brought her back at all, IMO. The few episodes she did telling Nathan she didn't want him anymore and telling Lulu she was a bad friend didn't really conclude the story lol. Leaving her in a coma would at least give a valid reason why Maxie isn't part of this and give Kirsten time. Although I recall there were rumors Kirsten had to come back or was out, but she's still out anyway. Hopefully, she figures out her issues or the show recasts.

I am not sure the show cares about Lulu being violated either. I do wonder what the show really had planned with Maxie/Nathan. You have to assume a lot of things shifted because Maxie should be in the middle of this all. I am curious if the show is even going to acknowledge the fall out with James and if they are going to even mention Maxie. Since all the restraining order chaos actually went down before Storms briefly returned I am confused as to why the show even took her out of that coma. It was kind of silly to bring Maxie back for like 5 episodes lol.

Both of these are good ideas. Especially eyemites. Every time I have an itch in my eye I do think I am infected.

That was probably the last time I was invested too. Was it Jake for PC that died? Anyhow, I do sort of agree the show needs to build on the cause to more than HIV research at this point, but I don't really have a strong opinion on what the cause should be so whatever. I also despise the red carpet interviews. There was a year 1996 or 1997? where they showed everyone arriving and made the couples pose for a photograph like montage and it worked. You could see all the dresses and there wasn't any cringy talking about Olivia being a psychic or anything.

Well, I think the whole premise has become dated. The first 3 or 4 years of the Nurses Ball were really good. When it became a true variety show with shirtless men dancing it kind of lost the plot and the point. After the 50th Nurses Ball every other one has been a disappointment even if my avatar of Brenda is from a Nurses Ball 😂

I think historically it's been in May, but I do think it has been in June and it was late Summer/Fall that Covid year. I would have to look that up though.

One can only hope!! Jacinda will sing too. Listen, I haven't cared about the Nurses Ball since the 90's, but either have it every year or don't. It's weird to have it some years and skip it or don't acknowledge it other years. At the very least Lucy or someone should say it's cancelled this year for whatever reason.

No, the Nurse's Ball is usually in May. Since no one has mentioned it Sidwell will probably fund it and it will happened on Monday. Sorry, Tuesday lol. Because people point out preemptions.

I don't understand this at all. Is Britt going to die in a month because she doesn't have her meds? Aren't there other meds that can help?
