  1. The U.S., which also has a disgusting system of factory farming, is in no position to throw stones at China. Both have practices that are uttery foul. People do know that there is coronavirus spreading all over U.S. meat and poultry plants, right?
  2. This article states that most economist seem to agree that the government's aid efforts were too small and arrived too late-- as a result, many businesses have abandoned their workers.
  3. It's time for Sascha to get some sense. Unless he had an actual positive test, it could've been flu, bronchitis or a garden variety respiratory infection (non coronavirus). Seems truly irresponsible on his part but that's the way he wants to play it, I guess. He may be exposing himself for nothing, if the season turns out to be a wash.
  4. As terrible as things have been in NYC, I fear that COVID-19 is really coming for the midwest with a vengeance. There are grim reports of body bags inventory running out in Michigan, people dying in hospital hallways. And now this.
  5. Speaking of xenophobes, it would be the height of irony if anti-immigration, Brexit-pushing Tory, Boris Johnson is now forced to rely on a mainly immigrant (and noticeably brown) frontline of medical workers for his recovery from COVID-19. I'm sure the lesson that is inherent in this will never be learned by Johnson.
  6. Don't forget colorstruck, xenophobic and misogynistic.
  7. Maybe sometime over the weekend, I may try to catch the posted recording.
  8. Oh, I don't watch cable news. At all. Sadly those people are all on Twitter, which I do check. Someone posted a tweet from Briahna "Joy" Gray, Sanders' communications spox upthread and she's incredibly toxic.
  9. Where is Jay Hammer these days? I'm truly curious as to how he's doing. He worked closely with both BMc and MD, I bet he'd have some entertaining insights. I'd also love to hear from Jordan Clarke as I am fascinated by long-time actors (especially when they originate their roles) who no longer act. All those people who have been mentioned, I'd love to see/hear from. It would be interesting to hear from Lisa Brown who has now spent a great deal of time working behind the camera to get her perspective on the contrast. I've really never heard MK talk when she wasn't being Vanessa, I want to see what differences/similarities they have. I bet GA, MOL and KT (Mindy #1) would have a ball. ATWT has over 10,000 and if they get another 10,000 I think it's more likely we'll get more of these livestream events sooner, rather than later. If both GL and ATWT continue to get more views, who knows?
  10. And it was honestly, more than his online army, it was his communications director and several of his surrogates who were/are incredibly toxic. The 'Bros' were bad enough but when you add people in his official staff who were saying and tweeting toxic things (without Bernie ever saying anything to rectify it), it made it all but impossible for Bernie to ever expand his 'base' in any way. Bernie himself seemed unwilling to reach out in any way that was genuine and meaningful. His brand was unyielding and to course correct or make adjustments is not in his DNA.
  11. Roddick's organization sounds like it is about doing good works.
  12. ITA but it was evident that "Vote like a Black women" rarely includes 'voting for/supporting a Black woman'. Also Bernie-bots and Russian troll armies relentlessly harassed her.
  13. Perhaps if Elizabeth Hubbard would agree to do it, maybe they could get Larry too?
  14. But wasn't Singapore already prone to strict penalties for things like gum chewing? Other countries are also harshly penalizing people who violate curfew and/stay-in-place rules right now. A few of these clips came across my TL and I thought she brought up some issues that need more amplification.
  15. Seems like he had a lot of good things to say about Marland, who was definitely well liked by actors, from what I continually hear.
  16. Is Robert talking about Doug Marland?
  17. Betty Rea knew her stuff. She'd weep at Y&R's casting choices. Yeah, that's what I thought too.
  18. Wow, Robert Newman said he auditioned on the same day that Scott Bryce auditioned and he got cast for GL and Bryce got cast for ATWT!
  19. Getting used to Maureen not having red hair but she basically looks the same. Everybody looks pretty good. Nice to see. I'm glad that at least 1,000 people are watching. Hopefully more people watch as it goes along and the replay. This is just making me want them to keep doing these.
  20. The only other good news (beside Bernie dropping the heck out) on an otherwise solemn day for me. Hopefully the rest of the NY tri-state area will follow suit.
  21. Cool! Hopefully there are some more 'Golden Era' actors in the mix.
