  1. I just finished seeing the replay of today's video and it wasn't bad but I felt as if things didn't quite gel at times. Michael O'Leary is always good for a laugh or two, especially when he was talking about filming "love" scenes and I got the sense that the ones with Beth were the most uncomfortable. Grant and Michael have such an easygoing bond. I liked the anecdotes about Beverly McKinsey and Charita Bauer and the Bauer 4th of July tapings. It just seemed like there wasn't enough time to really get into it but I do appreciate the fact that everyone was given a chance to talk about what they've been up to, etc. I can't really complain because it's not like I'm paying the cost of admission but if it were me, organizing these events, I'd really try to get a mix in there, actors who don't see each other all that much or get a chance to talk. I think that's why the 1st ATWT, in particular sparked so well. Also, why not shoot for the moon? Ask Melina Kanakaredes if she's available for an hour. Ask Nia Long. For ATWT., heck, ask Julianne Moore, why not? What's the worst they can say? No. Get a good mix of folks, some shockers in there. Spice it up, lol. 😂Haha, y'all are rough @victoria foxton and @Soapsuds
  2. I'm guessing that the Olympics was supposed to be a centerpiece of Peacock TV's streaming service's summertime debut. Oh well, they've still got to promote it to the high hills regardless.
  3. Holy smokes, out of curiosity, I ventured to her twitter page and just saw that Alexandra Chando had COVID-19!😦😮
  4. So ironic that Bolsonaro would try to bring gender into how someone "fights" coronavirus when there has been quite a significant amount of studies that have shown that women appear to be better at fighting COVID-19 than men, apparently having to do with chromosomes. https://www.livescience.com/16268-female-immune-system-stronger-males-genetics.html The fact that women have two X chromosomes, compared to one for men. That XX combination seem to be connected to cell protection and immune system function.
  5. Russia's problems with alcohol over-consumption are being exacerbated by coronavirus, as some mistakenly believe that vodka consumption helps prevent infection. Doctors are preparing for an influx of patients who have coronavirus and alcohol poisoning. Not surprisingly, the rates of domestic violence have jumped in Russia, as the rates are increasing worldwide. https://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/world/in-pandemics-grip-russia-sees-spike-in-age-old-bane-drinking/ar-BB12CgKM?li=BBlHVm3
  6. This crisis has drawn into sharp relief just how much the U.S. has relied on immigrant labor, both legal and undocumented, to keep the economy functional. Sadly, I don't expect the U.S. government (or a majority of U.S. citizens) to admit this.
  7. The U.S. as run by the Trump administration, continues to enrich the Kremlin and Putin's Russia. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/world/the-white-house-blessed-a-war-in-libya-but-russia-won-it/ar-BB12C2rR
  8. This is not the first time I've heard of this. Very interesting.
  9. Obama's inner monlogue must've been like- "Y'all mofos are not gonna accuse me of trying to put my finger on the scale!". The announcement was well timed.
  10. Fascinating stuff, isn't it?! I can always go back to those storylines and it never gets dull for me. I find new things to like and love about performances. When I was a kid, Lucinda was such a vulture to me but seeing it now makes me appreciate how committed Liz Hubbard was to playing that role, in contrast to many of today's actors who seem prone to take to social media to whine about how mean their characters are in a bid to be seen as some valiant figure or romantic hero(ine). Perhaps what is missing from much of today's characterizations on soaps is complexity which Lucinda was brimming with. Now I'm curious--are you talking about Lucinda hiding Duke's DNA or Lily's medical records? If it's about Lily then John gave as good as he got as he was actually blackmailing Lucinda in order to get a seat on the hospital board of trustees. Agreed, that Lucinda was pretty venomous back then. I have made no secret that I loved GM and HBS as Tom and Margo, my favorites by far. I loved how witty, humorous and passionate they were, after Finn Carter and Scott Bryce, HBS and GM were my favorites as a kid. Probably because I was a kid when I first saw them but I preferred Dusty and Lily, probably because Holden seemed like a much older guy to me back then and somehow I found it creepy and dishonest how he and Meg schemed to keep Dusty and Lily apart but now that I'm a full-grown adult, I appreciate Jennifer Ashe's characterization of Meg Snyder, in particular. Meg is the kind of character you don't see that much of these days. She, like Nina Webster, weren't total villains and too young to be full-on vixens but were characters who yearned for a better life, which they believed that they were entitled to and sought to grab, by whatever means necessary. I don't so much mind this list but it would've been nice if one of the Caseys could be there. Since Alex Chando is there, it would've been great had Zach Roerig been there since they had great chemistry and I have heard that they are still in touch.
  11. Who's actually surprised by this?
  12. Oh no, I'm sorry to hear this. I will be holding a special word for your brother's health to improve and that he has the best possible outcome. If this helps at all, one of my family members who is a nurse, is recovering from COVID-19. She was hospitalized but thankfully was released and is home recuperating. So often, we seem to focus almost exclusively on the worst case scenarios, but remember that many many people do indeed recover.
  13. If Tamara Tunie and Hillary Bailey Smith were there, I think he would have been available.
  14. Um...wut?!
  15. JG really should take this time to retool and/or scrap some of the scripts that were in the pipeline. He really has the time to do it. Figure out some story projections that would be really compelling and write them and write them in detail. Again, he has the time.
  16. I just started reading this thread on the USPS but it's already worth the read. Some things you may have already known, and others you may not.
  17. but sadly, very "on brand" for this current Republican party, in which the cruelty is the point.
  18. I still haven't seen the new livestream, lol. I guess I'm really not that interested in it this time around.
  19. FWIW, Republicans have been trying to privatize the Post Office for far longer than Trump has been in office, the way they've been trying to kill PBS since PBS's inception.
  20. If memory serves me correctly, she also seemed to imply that he had been drinking at times too. If CZ tired of playing the victim, well nobody victimized her like James Stenbeck, I'm surprised she never mentioned that. Despite AH's obvious talents, after the late 80s, there was no real reason for Stenbeck to keep returning, and the stories bringing him back became more and more pointless. I guess CZ just enjoyed playing off of AH more than HN because there was no way the last two returns of James Stenbeck were anything to fawn over. I've seen pictures of her at some event with HN and she seemed thrilled to see him, so I'm guessing the critcisms weren't personal, BH otoh, seems quite a different story. To me, it still seems as if over its very long history, ATWT seemed to have relatively little friction between the actors. It seemed to be a handful of people and everybody else just seemed to do their job and go home.
