  1. Same. From what I read in Spanish language blogs, commentary, it was very harsh. That was when the news of the allegation was originally reported. I haven’t read anything since then though.
  2. Ex-manager and she’s suing Martin, so there’s that. It’s just really tangled and being hit with all these negative allegations with people who have supposedly known him for a long time just paints a unfortunate picture. He’s doing something at the Hollywood Bowl, so for now, there doesn’t seem to be any negative blowback.
  3. I just saw the headline (it’s been a pretty busy day) and didn’t one of Ricky’s managers quit over these allegations, claiming that she was tired of protecting Martin? What was that about? Strange indeed. And makes me wonder whether there may be lasting damage from this since the allegations were so heinous.
  4. With all the rabid antivaxxers out there I knew it was only a matter of time until this happened.
  5. Folks have stopped wearing masks and this is what’s going on now.
  6. This has always been my assertion to. I mean, Scandal seems like a way more diverse, edgy Capitol with actual network support and a much bigger budget.
  7. Manchin’s resistance is also threatening to put the kibosh on the global tax deal and undermine Janet Yellen, who negotiated with countries for months to get countries to come to an agreement. How Joe Manchin Left a Global Tax Deal in Limbo
  8. Yeah, I figured that once Y&R made that push to #1 in the ratings, they could effectively call the shots. The people who run CBS daytime (and daytime in general) were never really good at long-term thinking. They were really about maximizing profits as heavily as possible in the near term.
  9. Okay, so I’ve seen it already then. Those P&G folks are hellbound for putting us through all this confusion. That was hella rude. So young back then, I didn’t realize that those promos heralding a new soap meant the demise of another. In my defense, I wasn’t up on the soap production news back then. I only occasionally picked up a copy of TV Guide (probably where I found out the news about Capitol being cancelled the day it went off the air).
  10. Thanks @DRW50I haven’t been able to watch any episodes of vintage daytime dramas lately but hopefully I can make some time to watch this, as it appears to be from 1986, which for me, was a top tier year for ATWT. That looks like Jess Walton in the screen grab! Even as a young child, I had great sympathy for Kelly. Her transition from that character to bodacious Jill Foster Abbott just exemplifies just how good Walton is.
  11. This is cool for Maxime.
  12. There is an article that is talking about how strong the U.S. dollar is right now. There are upsides and downsides to this. One downside is that other currencies are finding turmoil. One downside for U.S. companies that have most of their enterprise abroad is that the majority of their sales are in other countries where the currencies are weaker, so companies like Apple and Nike have worse revenues than in the past. I guess, anyone who can afford the high airfare to Europe will find that they will pay less for their stay once they land there. When you see that the Russian ruble has also been performing well because of oil, it makes so much sense for countries to invest in renewables, if only they would do so.
  13. That affiliate promo with Michael Tylo and Lisa Brown together really hit differently.
  14. Reading the full extent of the allegations, rather than hints like the People magazine article alluded to…it’s so much worse than I could have imagined and the article on the People magazine blog was already pretty bad.
  15. And with delay (understandable) however brief, a new wave of conspiracy theory is on the rise. https://www.cbsnews.com/news/trump-investigation-new-york-attorney-general-depositions-delayed-after-death-of-ivana-trump/
  16. Same. Also add for the way she needled “Melanie” to great effect.
  17. Why won’t the so-called progressive party go after Mancin? Manchin. Mancin, whoever. He’s a blight.
  18. ^^While the media focuses exclusively on Joe Biden, there’s another Joe who continually puts the kibosh on Democrats’ agenda. Here’s another NYT article via MSN News portal, which can be freely accessed.
  19. A cardiac arrest (as suspected) preceded her fall. Such a shame. At 73, she seemed to have more life to live and out of all the Trumps, she clearly was the better at business. And also as suspected, the conspiracy theorists are at it with a quickness.
  20. When my brother used to tell me stories like these when I was a teenager, I used to think he was exaggerating. Obviously, no more.
  21. I am still waiting for someone to interview SBH on her work on ATWT.
