Yes, and Doug and Julie had gotten the tickets for each other the previous Christmas, lol. Julie had told Doug it was over that day when they argued about taking David with them to Italy (Doug didn't want to). She called him later to say she was sorry but it was too late, he'd married Addie. I remember Doug and Addie being shown on the plane and Julie was shown throwing things around her apartment. I was so furious with Addie for doing that to her daughter but I don't remember being mad at Doug. I suppose because he was a bit of a rascal at the time so his behavior didn't surprise me as much.

I would love to see it again. And I only got to see it when I was out of school (meaning elementary through high school) so I didn't see everything. I realize now how spoiled I was when I see the cast Days had when I first started watching (plus Bill Bell as the writer). By the way, I'm fairly certain that the picture of Julie in Doug's lap is from the episode that started out with Doug and Julie planning to elope to Portofino, Italy, after Julie divorced Scott, and ended with Doug accepting Addie's marriage proposal. Doug and Addie ended up using the plane tickets to Portofino.

I have a Daytime TV article from 1977 regarding "Q" ratings for daytime stars. Apparently, this was the first year daytime actors and actresses were included in the ratings. Kathy Glass ranked #2 among daytime actresses behind Susan Seaforth Hayes and ahead of Jacqueline Courtney, Victoria Wyndham, and Denise Alexander.- DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
This is part of the Variety Show that was held as a fund raiser for University Hospital in the 70s. The uploader says it's from 1978 but I believe it may actually be from 1978. And this is when Doug's Place was moved and renamed Doug's Place on the Lake. This is opening night. The uploader says this is also from 1978. But I think it must be 1979 or 1980, when Doug was still married to Lee but wanting to get back with Julie. Doug sings "The Look of Love," which was Doug and Julie's "song" since 1970.- DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos

Woody and Oliver were definitely duds. I wasn't crazy about this Melissa either. The Joshua recast was okay but not as good as the original. Doug and Julie had some fun moments during this storyline (as opposed to all the drama they had previously been used to). Julie eventually got the code off of Mitzi's hip tattoo by getting in the hot tub with her. They even got arrested while in the bedroom of the madam of a brothel. Julie had dressed up like one of the madam's girls.- DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos

That's Melissa Anderson (Horton) and Oliver (don't remember his last name). Oliver turned out to be the brother of Woody King and Gwen Davies. All three had some back story about their father being abusive or something like that. That's why they had different last names and pretended that they didn't know each other.- DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos

This is an article from "The Baltimore Sun" about one of Maryland's gubernatorial candidates named Ron George. Apparently, he had a bit role on "The Doctors" in 1978. The part I found most interesting was this quote: "An NBC publicist scoffed at the idea that any footage might still exist from the 30-minute episodes in which George starred, but George said his main line involved saying, "Doctor, doctor," while lying in a hospital bed." Weren't there rumors that episodes of "The Doctors" were going to be aired somewhere? Or maybe that just pertained to 80s episodes. http://www.baltimoresun.com/news/maryland/politics/blog/bs-md-ron-young-soaps-20140426,0,2040830.story- DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos

I remember liking the Adrienne/Felicia story. It certainly was different, especially for that time period.- DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
I have mixed feelings about the return of Linda. She was a great character when Margaret Mason played her. Not so much when Elaine Princi played her. Nothing against Elaine but she was totally wrong for the role (and the storyline didn't help). Wondering now who could do the character justice.- DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos

Susan also became a step-grandmother when she married Bill, as he had at least one grandson at the time. Julie was just a step-mother though (to her half-sister). Susan mentioned in a recent interview that she hopes Days gives her and Bill a cake for their 40th wedding anniversary since they met on the show. - DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos
