  1. There was one episode that was reported for inappropriate content for some strange reason and some of us couldn't see it at first. That could be the one. If so, make sure the age restriction filter is off.
  2. I was watching at the time and I did get bored with some of the newer characters. Even though I liked Trish, I thought she was on too much. I didn't find Amanda especially interesting either. She was just okay to me. I did like Valerie & David (although I thought it was ridiculous that Julie had a son his age), and Brooke.
  3. Judy Lewis was also in the May 27, 1963 episode: Jock Gaynor, Pat Jenkins and Judy Lewis in "Sick Little Rich Girl." A wealthy patient, young and pretty, disrupts the hospital."
  4. DRW50, that was Larry Linville from MASH playing Mr. Anderson's lawyer.
  5. I liked the beauty shot after the board hearing. You could see Bunker was thinking about what Matt had said and that it had affected him.
  6. I don't believe Anna Stuart arrived until around 1971. We should be seeing Nancy O'Donoghue soon though. She played a physical therapist and I believe Mike dated her for a while. Oh, and I found a newsclipping indicating that Ralph Purdum returns as Phillip Townsend (hospital board chairman) on September 25, 1968 (so that's coming up very soon for us).
  7. This is from 1975. I got it from newspapers.com so the quality isn't great but the picture on the cover is interesting because it's from Laura's bridal shower (when she married Bill).
  8. I didn't know about the firing but it's pretty clear they were a couple.
  9. This is a newspaper article about the writers who created and wrote "Young Doctor Malone," and "From These Roots."
  10. I believe that Kurt Van Alen was Greta's father so Maggie must have lost her first baby. I did find an article that mentioned Ellen McRae's (Burstyn's) hiring and it was implied that she was hired to fill the gap created while Ann Williams was on maternity leave. Apparently, Ellen was already fairly well known at the time.
  11. Oh, I never saw that Mary/May character. That's interesting.
  12. Yes, I was very upset when they were written out. It seemed kind of sudden to me at the time (or maybe I had been in denial). I was so crazy over them at the time that I tape recorded their scenes so I could play it back (and I'm talking audio recording, not video, lol). I loathed what they did with Nola regarding Buzz. Apart from her behavior, no way would she have been attracted to someone like Buzz. He was the exact type she worked so hard to get away from. I always thought Bridget should have been Nola's daughter instead of her niece. I don't know why Stacey never appeared as an adult.
  13. LOL, I thought Sam Groom was cute though. Sometimes that's all it took when I was a teenager.
  14. Glad you like the summary. Forgive the typos, I see I should have had someone proofread it for me! There is probably more out there. I noticed some of the papers from which I found the clippings had months and even years not yet archived.
  15. Yes, Hillary always wanted Kelly herself and she pined after him a long time. So I always found her to be hypocritical when it came to Nola. But similar to you, I was devoted to Nola. She was the reason I started watching GL again after stopping for a while. I was flipping channels and she caught my eye and sucked me in.
  16. Ugh, I hated this story of Amanda regressing to childhood and wearing hair ribbons.
  17. I organized clippings I found on newspapers.com regarding The Doctors early years (mainly 1963-1965). The format changed from an anthology to a once-a-week, 5-part, format on July 22, 1965. It appears that the format changed to a continuing story around March 1964.
  18. I wonder whether the dates on the latest clips are correct (February 1981)? Several characters mentioned recently swimming in Ed's pool.
  19. Quint and Nola were quite popular in their day (and they're my second favorite soap couple ever on a soap). But they didn't have the longevity of the other couples you mentioned. I didn't like it when the show officially made Quinton Henry's son. Then they made him a college professor. Boring! It just seemed to take away much that made him unique. I also wanted Quinton and Nola to remain at Thornway Road instead of living with Henry and Vanessa.
  20. There definitely is a resemblance (and rhyming last names, lol). Kathleen was Liza for several years in the early 70s and Meg Bennet replaced her. She was just a teen when she played the role. I believe Kathleen had replaced Denice Nickerson in the role.
  21. Speaking of Liza, last night Angela Cartwright posted a picture of herself and Kathleen Beller (my favorite Liza) at the "Lost in Space" 50th anniversary reunion.
  22. I was surprised too. It wasn't very good.
  23. Dark Shadows is coming back to broadcast tv in May on a CBS sub-channel called "DECADES." The network is airing a 68-hour marathon at that time. https://willmckinley.wordpress.com/2015/01/24/original-dark-shadows-rises-from-the-dead-on-cbs-decades-tv-network/
  24. That's too bad that Suzanne and Sam's marriage didn't work out. I wonder what Sam is up to these days? Retro TV is going to start airing his old syndicated tv show soon. I remember it as "Simon Locke, M.D.," but I think its name was changed to "Police Surgeon," or something similar. I found a few more synopses. This time related to Michael Horton's impending birth. From the September 22, 1968, "La Crosse Tribune."
  25. I thought he was Jon Walmsley (Jason Walton) at first but then realized he would have been too young to play the role in 1968.
