  1. I think Jen Lilley bears a strong physical resemblance to SSH but her voice spoils the effect.
  2. Our friend, amybrickwallace, received some autographed photos and a note from Elizabeth Hubbard. I posted them for her in The Doctors thread. http://boards.soapoperanetwork.com/topic/27061-the-doctors/?p=1415785
  3. Thanks amybrickwallace!
  4. Bill Hayes and Susan Seaforth Hayes at the 1976 Daytime Emmys. They were nominees for Best Actor/Best Actress. And Susan with Betty Corday and Denise Alexander (who was then on GH). Denise was also a Best Actress nominee (Denise and Susan lost to Helen Gallagher).
  5. JoBeth Williams and Joel Crothers at the 1976 Daytime Emmys.
  6. Judith Barcroft, Susan Lucci, and Fran Heflin at the 1976 Daytime Emmys. Fran was a Best Actress nominee that year.
  7. Charita Bauer at the 1976 Daytime Emmys.
  8. Here are Elizabeth Hubbard and Gerald Gordon at the 1976 Emmy Awards. They both won for their roles in the "First Ladies Diaries" specials.
  9. Thanks for sharing amybrickwallace!
  10. Here's another.
  11. I know I have one or two. I'll try to find them.
  12. Speaking of the David/Valerie kiss, this is from October 1976. This is the Grant family in December 1975.
  13. Yeah, Pat Falken-Smith was blatantly lying. Who ever heard of an engaged couple not even kissing?!
  14. This is a June 1977 column pertaining to the David/Val and Sharon/Julie stories.
  15. I believe Hugh McPhillips, who was The Doctors' director/associate producer for several years, was an extra in an episode we saw last week (playing the patient in the clinic with a rash). Hugh McPhillips (in 1972): The patient in the clinic.
  16. This is Leila Martin (in 1971) who played Valerie Shaw. She mentions The Doctors and it doesn't seem she was the same Valerie who married Mike. The timeframe doesn't seem right. Incidentally, I believe Robert La Tourneaux was the actor who played Mike immediately preceding Peter Burnell. "She . . . spent seven months in 'The Doctors,' . . . 'I was a very bad lady, a real witch; they sent me off for a skiing weekend and I was never heard from again. I got terrible mail from religious fanatics saying women like me were destroying the world.'"
  17. Speaking of Greta, I don't think this is spoiling too much. Here she is in June 1970, with Matt, Maggie, & her rabbit.
  18. Found this on newspapers.com, from October 1967. Of course, Mark Brooks turned out to be Tommy Horton.
  19. Yes, that Greta voice was creepy. We do see Greta a bit at Nick & Althea's wedding. I use Firefox ad block when I use Daily Motion and no longer have any problems.
  20. Oh my, that is hilarious! A "modern spiritual."
  21. LOL! That one I don't remember. I'll have to look that one up. Of course, Bill Hayes in character as Doug used to sing pop songs in the 70s but I can't think of anything that was too bad, unless maybe it was when he did "Puppet Man."
  22. Yes, that is a good one. What can I say? The 60s and 70s were unique!
  23. Yeah, it was funny sometimes, especially on shows like The Lawrence Welk Show, when they sang contemporary songs, lol.
  24. This is only indirectly related to Days but this clip includes Helen Funai who played Doug Williams' ex-wife, Kim Douglas, on Days in the 70s. Helen was one of the "Ding-A-Ling Sisters" on The Dean Martin Show around the same time. Helen is on the left, and gorgeous Jayne Kennedy is on the right. I believe the blondes are Michelle Della Fave and Lindsay Bloom. And here they are in color.
