  1. They also played the theme from "Summer of '42" under one of the Mike and Toni scenes.
  2. The Pollocks have made almost every character unlikeable. I also didn’t enjoy their obsession with the character of Nick, which still isn’t over, six months after Gerald Gordon left. Nick could do no wrong in their eyes, no matter how violent, uncaring, and/or misogynistic his behavior.
  3. Stacy is around for a couple of years.
  4. Anna lists her complaints in this article. There are SPOILERS in the article.
  5. I seem to recall that Lauri left town before Hank did. I can't remember the circumstances though.
  6. https://www.newspapers.com/clip/17098010/matthew_tobin_42nd_street/
  7. I read a sad story about his wife. He was appearing in 42nd Street in 1984, while she was being treated for cancer. She died while he was performing and he didn't learn of it until after the show ended.
  8. I enjoyed Rex though, especially his digs at "you people" at "Hope Memorial Prison." His ending kind of fizzled out though. LH tried to out-camp Matthew Tobin on several occasions but she was wasting her time. He even bit his fist when Rex was panicking.
  9. Jane played Carrie Todd as very warm, sweet, and wholesome, almost to the point that it annoyed me (until we learned about her other personalities), lol. I think Angelica on Days had a similar persona to Felicia Gallant. But I did love Linda Dano.
  10. Based on an interview with Bethel Leslie from when she was writing for The Secret Storm, I got the impression that Bethel Leslie was let go after she took time off to do the movie. She said she was told that Maggie was going to be killed off.
  11. The Pollocks have made almost all the adult characters unlikeable for me. I do still like Carolee, although she has changed. Little Erich is currently my favorite male character.
  12. Bill and Susan Hayes on Hollywood Squares, 1976. At 8:47 and 16:30.
  13. Michael Landrum, who had just left his role as Larry Kirby on How to Survive a Marriage.
  14. @slick jones Sorry if I overlooked it, but did you get Kenneth Tigar, playing Karen's German attorney on The Doctors, in episode 3059 (original air date 11-6-1974)?
  15. @slick jones Per an October 28, 1951, blurb from the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Hollis Irving played "Elie Hughes" on Love of Life.
  16. It also has some old soap books, e.g., Soap World by Robert LaGuardia, etc. You have to have an account and check those out digitally, but all they ask for is an e-mail and password. It's linked with openlibrary.org. The books can be read on a computer but I have an app called Digital Editions, that enables me to download it on my ipad.
  17. Archive.org has a lot of old Photoplay and Radio TV Mirror magazines. 1963 seems to be the most recent ones. That's where I found this one.
  18. Loved Liz Kemp as Betsy. I never warmed up to Margo McKenna at all.
  19. LOL---do you mean the guy lurking or the name of the product? I remember my sister using Minipoo.
  20. Came across this ad with Jacquie Courtney in a 1963 Photoplay.
  21. I wonder which cast mate Elvera was referring to when she mentioned someone getting bad press?
  22. @slick jones The name of the character Phil Vandervort played was "Benjy." December 30, 1963... "Gold Is A Happy Color" ????... Phillip Van Der Voort Pegene O'Connor...Jacqueline Bertell Dr. Jerry Chandler... Richard Roat Chaplain Sam Shafer...Margot Moser Dr. Matt Powers...James Pritchett Dr.Maggie Hansen Fielding...Ann Williams
  23. Dan was a villain to me because he was hurting innocent people and he was never humanized at all. I'm more sympathetic toward Cathy and John and don't really see them as villains. Nick and Althea weren't exactly innocent in any of the events involving Cathy and John. I've grown to loathe Nick and Althea because they're self-centered, hypocritical, and don't care who they hurt. The constant Nick-propping by the other characters is maddening. How many times an episode must we hear how great he is?
