  1. Billy and Julie as grandparents is kind of creepy, but I'm glad they'll have something bigger to deal with, and hopefully it develops Julie more. I've been loving her since day one, but it's time to really get down to business with her.
  2. I'm partial to early 70s Corrie myself. Annie, Bet, and Betty (sometimes Billy) running the Rovers, Maggie running the Corner Shop, Rita and Mavis later coming on with the Kabin...Len, Jerry, and Ray with their activities, early Deirdre (and Blanche), Emily/Ernest, the Ogdens at their finest, etc.
  3. Interestingly enough, Jeff Branson auditioned for Trey. Glad we dodged that bullet.
  4. Still obsessing over these four. I need them in my life...now.
  5. The thought of the possibility of those '73 episodes hanging out somewhere gets me excited. Some day! I think I reading something about how when the big Stewart write-out was done, Dan took the girls out of Oakdale (to London, I think), and Susan, realizing that she was completely and utterly alone, decided to leave too. There was a supposedly very spectacular scene of Susan, alone in her living room, completely surrounded by the silence and loneliness.
  6. That's a cute interview! It's great to see Nina's reputation as one of the show's leading females get bigger and better. That's not something to be proud of! If it was Tennant, though...
  7. Loved that 1972 episode. It had been posted on WoST years ago, and the opening had been on YouTube for a while, but I knew sooner or later we'd get to see the whole thing there. The long pauses, the tight close ups, the agony, the pain, the drama! That's the epitome of 70s soap to me, and I need more!! The only shame is that we'll probably never see these episodes in their full color glory.
  8. I've been loving the last few episodes. The Masood drama is on point, as well as Fatboy/Mercy. Fatboy is one of the best characters currently on the show, and I hope they do right by him after they rip his love interest away. One of the dumbest decisions of 2011 so far. They made a gorgeous couple in their wedding attire. Christian annoys me still because he's so overzealous about everything. He jumped into the baby thing with Roxy, he jumped into the adoption thing, he's jumping into this marriage thing, he jumped into telling people about the adoption, etc. I've never really hated him and Syed, but they are indeed more tolerable now than they used to be, especially since their story isn't just about them. I'm fine with being in the minority that loves Tamwar and Afia, especially Afia, who is one of my favorite newer characters on any soap, UK or US. I keep waiting for Masood to have a heart-to-heart with someone like Zainab had with Syed, but I'm wondering who it would even be with. He's not going to confide in Syed or Tamwar, but then is he the type to confide in anyone about his problems? He thinks he has it under control, that all he has to do is get Yusef out of the picture, but eh. He's gonna mess up some more, but hopefully not too much. Lydia is HILARIOUS! "All the better for spoiling you with my dear!" had me cracking up for days. I'm gonna miss her when she goes because her interactions with Ricky, Janine, and Pat have been great.
  9. I shamelessly love these four. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5DBoz4aItoQ
  10. I know many Emmerdale diehards hated the previous theme, but I never had a problem with it. Sure, it was a little overblown, but this one here just tries too hard. The pausing, the weird chords, the cymbal crashes, etc. Too much.
  11. New titles with an absolutely dreadful/aimless/weird new arrangement of the theme. The visuals are basically the Emmerdale version of the Corrie titles. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3wU0zVPxM_U
  12. Yeah, I was gonna say that, too, that's kinda hilarious lol
  13. "Laugh like you did about the raw chicken in the microwave with the marshmallow smile!" That [!@#$%^&*] is just DESPERATE.
  14. To this day, "Ima roll wit Hoopz" is one of those random things me and my friends randomly say that will always solicit laughter. Sweet, sweet memories of the Flavorverse
  15. Buckwild was such a MESS through the whole thing. Larissa was trying to get everybody off her back, so she started planting the notion that Shay took the pictures, and so they sent Becky to tell Shay, and she goes up on her all weak, "So...um...word on the street is.......that...um....you took the picture..." "Oh, really?" "Yeah...uh....that's what...the word is....I was told. By....the people." "Oh. Okay. Larissa! What the hell is she talking about?!" GOLD, I tell you. Comic. GOLD. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKa87lcKlvE "Crater face ass bitch. Yes, CRATER FACE. Bitch, you got a crater face!" I love how dismissive pretty much everybody was of Schatar "This goofy ass mother f!cker that's PLAYIN yall's ass! She don't give a f!ck about yall! And you look ugly in the dress, bitch."
  16. The picture incident began after Schatar stole the dresses and hid them under the sink or somewhere (I can't even remember whose stuff it was...I think Crystal/Serious). She lied about it, everybody found out, they forgave her, and that was it. Well, Larissa and Shay, the delicious bitch/hoes they were, wanted to get Schatar kicked out of the house, so they stole Leilene's pictures of her mother and children and hid them under Schatar's bed. They knew that no one would consider Schatar's innocence because she was already a known thief. Mo'Nique sent Schatar home (in lieu of a regular elimination -- because it was a team elimination, Schatar's partner Darra was eliminated too), but people started getting suspicious. Schatar had denied taking the pictures up until the end, and everyone started to realize that if she really did take them, she probably would have owned up to it, but she never did. Saaphyri and some of the others started suspecting Larissa and Shay stole the pictures, and the whole thing blew up during preparations for Mo's birthday dinner. IIRC, Shay ended up coming clean about the whole thing to Mo, and then she went to Larissa and urged her to admit her part in it, too, so that maybe Mo would just forgive them for it. Larissa wasn't about to roll like that, though, so she started lying and trying to blame the entire thing on Shay, but Mo'Nique saw right through her and sent her home. My memory on the whole thing is raw, but good god, that was some good sh!t. I might see if I can hunt those two episodes down somewhere, if not the whole season. For a while, I had a pipe dream of turning the whole thing into a Broadway musical. As hilarious as Larissa was, IMO, SHAY was he MVP during the picture incident mess. "Nah everybody's runnin' 'round like Investor Gadget." LMAO
  17. I'm watching Friday's episode tonight...can't wait! I took a little break (it just sort of happened ), but I'm finally back in the loop. When in the world is Ronnie hitting the bricks? I'm ready for her to leave.
  18. The first season of Charm School was EPIC drama. Loved every single second of it. I'm surprised I didn't post more about here when it originally aired. "The picture incident" was one of THE most engrossing storylines I've ever seen on a reality show. The best episode of all of the Flavorverse for me was the ep when it was Mo's birthday, and all of the picture incident drama came out. Everybody was crying, the food was gross, everybody had on party hats, lmao. Remember when Schatar gave Mo'Nique an apple from her bra? And Mo'Nique says "Nah...nah...nah what am I gon do with a titty apple?" LMAO!! I wish they'd do with the Flavorverse like they're doing with the Real Housewives franchise and syndicate them to local stations. Just air each season of each show back-to-back.
  19. Give me campy, over-the-top, escapist Dynasty any day of the week. Sometimes you just don't need or want "gritty realism," and one of the biggest crimes of entertainment is that people should feel guilty for ever wanting to merely be entertained.
  20. I didn't realize Dennis has been back for two weeks now. So, according to Wikipedia, he's homeless because Elsie and her husband died a few years ago? WTF?
