You know I'm going absolutely nuts over that little taste of 1971 AMC. And in color, too! I'm hoping more and more of that frustrating 1971-1978 gap gets closed.

The performance of You & I was good. Like...the damn girl can sing. She can sing, and she can write, and she's good! She's GREAT! But...just...ugh. The whole thing really isn't working for her, is it? When Garth Brooks did the whole Chris Gaines thing back in the 90s, people went in with it because it was so different from what Garth was and what people expected from him. For Gaga, it's like "Oh...she's pretending to be a guy. That's the crazy thing she's doing today. Okay. On to the next bit of craziness." She seems to really want this to catch on, but it won't. The crazy stans will eat it up and work themselves to death trying to attach all of the "hidden meanings" they can think of to it, but the fringe fans are gonna consider it another mark against her. Does anyone in the industry really look up to her? If Rihanna or Nicki or Ke$ha had presented Brit's award, I think it would have been a really sweet, memorable moment.

I was done with the Jo [!@#$%^&*] almost as soon as it started. She crapped all over Britney's "moment" (which wasn't much of a moment but whatever) and was just generally weird. She looked so whack when she fell off the piano, and Adele's in the audience, just looking like "Oh...my....okay?"

I believe he was only from 1976-1978. Once they established that he was an !@#$%^&*] to Edna (and Dottie), they killed him off. He was going to poison Edna, but Dottie switched the glasses, so he died at this own hand.

That was a great read. We all know that things are different now, but I wonder how different. Like, do they still have those moments where the actors just hang around on the sets, waiting for their scene to come up? That sounds like something that they really don't have time for anymore.

IDK if Joy was trying to steal Sherri's spotlight because from what I've heard, Joy's wedding was very private/exclusive. I think it's hilarious that all of the articles say "View Stars Get Married" with a picture of them both. If one didn't know any better, you'd think they married each other. I used to f!ckin love this show. Then they started to talk about politics every damn day. It gets old and boring.

Phoebe's the one who announced it publicly. She was drunk (of course) at one of Erica's big parties, and so she ran her mouth and told everybody the truth. IDK who told her, though.

I'm sorry, but if you're talking about getting "back to basis" for a show that has only been on the air for TWO SEASONS, the show has massive issues.

Julia was on RH at the time, so I figure some viewers might have been wondering what was going on at ABC! Speaking of recasts, it's kind of strange tat in the article, they mention Stephanie Braxton's plans to leave the show, but the cast list has Karen Gorney back as Tara. Her return must have been announced between the set visit and the printing of the article. I love the way Richard Van Vleet is looking at John Danelle in that picture. Fruck, anyone?

Original Brooke! I don't think I've ever seen a picture of her on AMC. The actress was also on GL as Hope Bauer at one point, right? Anyway, I've been watching some Greenlee/Leo lately and came across one of my favorite scenes with them:

I really can't see this not being all about Phil, Phil's reaction, how having a gay son affects Phil, etc. This will be the reason why Phil does his next incredibly repulsive and violent thing. It's really just Phil's square, and he's letting everyone else live there. Lauren as bi would have been totally believable.

This is sad, but I hope for the best for Pam. Knowing that Pat won't be around for long will definitely make it harder for me to get back into watching the show, but I guess I should eventually if I want to feel the full effect of her exit storyline. To be honest, as inexperienced as I am with EE and its inner-workings, I never really thought Pat/PS would stick around too long after Peggy/BW left. And of course, you have to wonder what this means for Janine.

That was great! So wonderful! It's unfortunate that that one uploader stopped putting the early episodes on YouTube because it would be the perfect thing to watch with Take the High Road. I wish there was a way to buy the DVDs for North American TVs. It really sucks that the show got so far away from its roots. The idea of having a tight, tight focus on one family for 40 years is just exciting to me, and to think of how complex and intricate the family relationships could be...

Oh, and here I was convinced by Gaga stans that Femme Fatale was the worst album ever.

Everything I've read over the years says that opening was used from 1960 until the show's transition to color in 1967. I really had no clue Rick was on this early. I only know him from his appearance in that 1975 episode that was on YT years ago (that I watched on dial-up because I wanted so badly to see it). It's great to finally have something from the little transitional period the show went through in the late 50s/early 60s.

IDK, it doesn't always have to be all about the music. If Adele is all about the music and letting it speak for itself, that's great. Gaga is a different type of artist, though, and a huge part of her package is the bizarreness of her performances. The performance is probably even a bigger part than the actual music, and I don't have a problem with that because it's what she chooses to do with her career. My issue lies more with the overzealous fans, which I know I'm repeating, but jeez. The crazy fans (key word: crazy) are so defensive of everything she says and does because they've foreclosed on their own identities to the point of her being them, and so an unfavorable opinion of Gaga is interpreted as an unfavorable opinion on themselves.
