  1. The picture incident began after Schatar stole the dresses and hid them under the sink or somewhere (I can't even remember whose stuff it was...I think Crystal/Serious). She lied about it, everybody found out, they forgave her, and that was it. Well, Larissa and Shay, the delicious bitch/hoes they were, wanted to get Schatar kicked out of the house, so they stole Leilene's pictures of her mother and children and hid them under Schatar's bed. They knew that no one would consider Schatar's innocence because she was already a known thief. Mo'Nique sent Schatar home (in lieu of a regular elimination -- because it was a team elimination, Schatar's partner Darra was eliminated too), but people started getting suspicious. Schatar had denied taking the pictures up until the end, and everyone started to realize that if she really did take them, she probably would have owned up to it, but she never did. Saaphyri and some of the others started suspecting Larissa and Shay stole the pictures, and the whole thing blew up during preparations for Mo's birthday dinner. IIRC, Shay ended up coming clean about the whole thing to Mo, and then she went to Larissa and urged her to admit her part in it, too, so that maybe Mo would just forgive them for it. Larissa wasn't about to roll like that, though, so she started lying and trying to blame the entire thing on Shay, but Mo'Nique saw right through her and sent her home. My memory on the whole thing is raw, but good god, that was some good sh!t. I might see if I can hunt those two episodes down somewhere, if not the whole season. For a while, I had a pipe dream of turning the whole thing into a Broadway musical. As hilarious as Larissa was, IMO, SHAY was he MVP during the picture incident mess. "Nah everybody's runnin' 'round like Investor Gadget." LMAO
  2. I'm watching Friday's episode tonight...can't wait! I took a little break (it just sort of happened ), but I'm finally back in the loop. When in the world is Ronnie hitting the bricks? I'm ready for her to leave.
  3. The first season of Charm School was EPIC drama. Loved every single second of it. I'm surprised I didn't post more about here when it originally aired. "The picture incident" was one of THE most engrossing storylines I've ever seen on a reality show. The best episode of all of the Flavorverse for me was the ep when it was Mo's birthday, and all of the picture incident drama came out. Everybody was crying, the food was gross, everybody had on party hats, lmao. Remember when Schatar gave Mo'Nique an apple from her bra? And Mo'Nique says "Nah...nah...nah what am I gon do with a titty apple?" LMAO!! I wish they'd do with the Flavorverse like they're doing with the Real Housewives franchise and syndicate them to local stations. Just air each season of each show back-to-back.
  4. Give me campy, over-the-top, escapist Dynasty any day of the week. Sometimes you just don't need or want "gritty realism," and one of the biggest crimes of entertainment is that people should feel guilty for ever wanting to merely be entertained.
  5. I didn't realize Dennis has been back for two weeks now. So, according to Wikipedia, he's homeless because Elsie and her husband died a few years ago? WTF?
  6. If you use the "media" and "youtube" tags, it'll limit you. If you use the embed codes from YT, it'll let you post as many as you want.
  7. The first season theme was more swampy lol the bongos and such. The theme was written by Gerald Fried, who also wrote the theme from from Roots, and you can definitely hear similarities between the two. I LOVE the little part with the various homes representing Flamingo Road. The Weldon home, also used on Emerald Point NAS, is in California and supposedly looks like a tiny piece of the south stuck in the middle of Pasadena. He was cute on the show (not HOT like Mark and Fernando, but cute), and they often had him coming into scenes right from the pool, so that was a plus. They didn't really use him a lot, though. He got air time, but his own stories were usually overpowered by whatever was going on with the central quad.
  8. The song they used was I'll Be Seeing You.
  9. Cheap's new signature had me looking for this...GREAT performance by Ms. Marj Dusay. She's sort of channeling Piper Laurie in Carrie.
  10. Brooke was working at the Goalpost, Tom's restaurant, when Erica and Tom were dating, and Brooke was a hot-to-trot mess who wanted Tom, and thus a legend was born. GOD I hate Barbara's hair, too. That ugly triangle 'do...just...ugh. I think Abby had one like that for a while on Knots Landing.
  11. WTF was Hank thinking with that hair?
  12. I heard Edge of Glory on the radio this morning and me and my friends could not stop laughing at the random 80s sitcom saxophone solo
  13. I don't think I've ever seen someone rave about Dawson's Creek that much before! Most people think the dialogue is stilted and pretentious, but for me that's always been part of the show's charm. Most accounts I've read say that there's a nosedive in quality after season two, but I really think all of the high school years are good, my favorite being season three. I'm taking a break from the Creekers now...probably gonna get started on season two some time this summer. I can't wait, though, because Jack and Andie add SO MUCH to the show, IMO, and were very needed. After the initial Joey/Dawson/Jen triangle cooled down and morphed into the triangle, something new was needed to balance that out, and the McPhees were it. Once they become regulars, I just tune Dawson and Joey out and only pay attention to Pacey when he's with Jen, Jack, and Andie.
  14. I'm in season four as well, the very beginning of it. I just watched The Hearing two-parter over the weekend. Some thoughts: ~ Kirby is finally more interesting now that she's starting to spiral out of control a bit. She was boring as hell all through season three, but I'm starting to not groan whenever she shows up now. Her trying to strangle Alexis was hilarious. ~ Jeff/Fallon...eh. I miss bitchy Fallon from the first two seasons, and if it was that Fallon and Jeff getting back together, fine, but this Fallon and Jeff, not so much. I can't believe how easily Jeff cheated on Kirby. ~ Krystle/Blake. They did a really good job of showing that Blake cares about Krystle, I was truly surprised that he didn't allow Andrew to cross examine her at the hearing, but it makes total sense. For the first time in the series, I'm rooting for them. They're really starting to paint Blake in a more positive light, and I like that. ~ Adam. His obsession with Kirby has turned me off of him a little bit, but he's still my favorite male character on the show. I can't wait to see how he handles Jeff and Fallon snooping around in Billings, Montana (because they never just say Billings). ~ Alexis. LOVED her reactions throughout the hearing. And then when she got up on the stand, she didn't even try to pretend to care about court procedure. Just did her damn thing. I'm guessing it was Kirby who trashed her apartment. ~ Steven. You know, I've only ever watched up to this point in the show, but I really think Dynasty gets a bad rap as far as Steven is concerned. Steven is bisexual, not gay, and I wish the world was ready for that in the early 80s so that the scripts could have just said it that way. He has relationships with men, and no one seems to think it's strange that he also has relationships with women. That's a bisexual. If the writers had just owned that, I think the show would be celebrated for breaking that ground, especially considering how rare it is to find bisexual males on television today, on both scripted and unscripted shows. ~ The custody battle. I love a good soapy custody battle, and this one is no different. I don't care about realistic the court proceedings are or if Chris has a conflict of interest or whatever. This thing is delivering the drama, and I'm eating it up. Definitely my favorite storyline so far.
  15. http://www.billboard.com/news/billboard-bits-britney-s-next-single-the-1005179822.story#/news/billboard-bits-britney-s-next-single-the-1005179822.story So I Wanna Go is gonna be the next single? I'm cool with that. I wanted it to be Seal It with a Kiss, though...
  16. This guy makes me all warm inside He should sing lead more often. I love that song, Carl. I love Kate's shrill voice, the suggestive lyrics, the melodrama, etc. Love it.
  17. I've barely watched this whole season...I know I have to cram it all in over the summer, and I know that I probably won't have the energy for that. Sucks.
  18. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mr7QvpHsJBg
  19. Damn it, she's being hilarious on Idol and I'm starting to like the hot mess all over again.
  20. I'll miss Mercy. So with her and Darren gone, that leaves Jay, Ben, Abi, Lauren, Jodie, Tamwar, Afia, and Fatboy as the teen/youth set? That's awkward as hell.
  21. Am I the only one who finds dubstep absolutely hilarious? WUUUB WAPWAPWAPWAP WUUUUB WAPWAPWAPWAPWAPWAPWAP WUUUUB WAPWAPWAPWAP. I can't stop laughing
  22. LOL! McTavish can use some of those Purgatory stories on DAYS should she ever get a job there (now I have to hide from angry DAYS fans). For some reason, New England is one of the first places I think of when I think stereotypical soap location even though there haven't been a whole lot set there. I think there are probably some short-lived 50s soaps that were New England-based.
