I’m glad they pushed filming back instead of just going forward like they did with RHONY when Bethenny suddenly quit. They need new blood and had they just gone ahead with the same ladies minus Monique that wouldn’t have worked. The second half of season 5 proved that.

I’ll admit I didn’t pay attention to it at first, but on second glance the placement and body language does seem to tell a story. It’ll be interesting to see if it pans out that way or if we’re just reading into it. I do find it pretty iconic that once again Kyle has a sister on the show and couldn’t be further away from her lol.

Other fun emails were about how Sweeney and Scott wanted to be given a primetime spin off lol. Meanwhile they were trying to cancel Days at the same time.

Remember when Sony’s emails got hacked? Well that included people involved with Days and the allegations in the email were about an actor being inappropriate with a costars daughter. Allegedly his exit had to do with sexual assault allegations and it’s been said James Scott cannot return. He has also said he wouldn’t consider it for any reason. For me it’s not that I feel EJ is vital, but they went through such lengths to bring him back and if Allison Sweeney is truly returning for at least a year then something needs to be done. It’s not fair to leave the character in limbo and eliminate any potential romance because EJ is hanging around.

I don’t know that I agree. I thought Lesli Kay was fine and they didn’t give her any time to settle in the role. I don’t even think she had the chance at a story before they fired her. Didn’t she only get fired because she was pregnant? I just can’t remember her being given a real chance to succeed. At the time GH was so mob heavy as well. I just don’t think the writers wanted Lois. I’d be interested in seeing how they’d handle her return today now that they have more balance between the mob and other aspects of the show. Plus with Ned being a key character it could be interesting.

See I think casting him is a good idea. He’s a good actor and the role of EJ could fit him better than Cane who was poorly written. With that said, once again he’s acting a fool which is making him undesirable to be cast. He did that constantly at Y&R micromanaging his role and now he’s trying to trick people into thinking he’s EJ? Why not see the suggestion and call your agent?

I’m guessing Andy’s hope of getting the show on Peacock will come to fruition. I hope they stick with only bringing Adriana back and give us a strong cast. I don’t want them to lean too heavily into the past since season 3 was like 10 years ago. She could be a nice bridge.

The Jamie Lyn Bauer return I’ll always be disappointed by because it was our last chance to get the Brooks family properly revived and it was terrible. They disregarded all of her history except the thing with Victor. Sticking her with that husband made no sense. Even back then they could’ve brought back Brooks or if you want to focus on Victor, then truly have them get back together. This is truly and forever will be one of the most odd returns I’ve ever seen. Especially when you consider the people writing wrote that character originally.

Another one I’ll mention is Gina Tognoni as Kelly. She absolutely killed it on GL so it makes sense they’d bring her back, but the magic wasn’t there. Especially after Heather Tom left such a huge stamp on the role.

Bryce was great in his return and brought some humanity back to the role. I felt this was similar to David Tom’s return where they punished the original actor for not being more like a recast, which is bizarre. It was almost as if they showed up to set and the show forgot they were coming and told them to wing it. You couldn’t get any essence of their characters. It was SUCH a waste. They could’ve easily used them to usher on Brooks. Hell, John McCook is right down the hall. They could’ve all three been used to introduce him.

@CatI think Star would be great, but she wouldn’t last more than one season. She wouldn’t like the drama if Celebrity Apprentice is any indication.

I was sure they wouldn’t marry Rey and Sharon. He is such a forgettable character and they don’t have chemistry. I can’t imagine they have much of a fan base either. This would’ve been the perfect time to have an accident put him in danger to end the wedding or have Adam or Nick interrupt it. Maybe he could’ve had a secret. Basically give us SOMETHING, but as always everything went according to plan and drama was averted again.

I agree. I will never complain about new blood. Especially when you have lifers like Robyn and Gizelle who don’t bring much. I know my saying Gizelle is controversial since Bravo has her as the face, but other than her ability to stir up drama she adds NOTHING to the show. Her home scenes are boring and she always has a made up relationship storyline that falls flat. Robyn is there but rarely brings anything fresh. They need one or two newbies that can come in as strong as Monique did. Someone with money, an interesting family life who can just jump in head first. I know it’s unpopular, but I will say again that Omarosa would be an excellent addition. It would never happen, but I’d love for it to. Seeing her on Celebrity Big Brother showed a different side to her and I remember when people watched they were shocked that somehow we fell in love with her lol. She can be devious, but I think this format would give a more well rounded view of who she is. This nothing big, but something I love so I wanted to share. We saw a bit of their friendship developing last season and I’ve loved watching it grow on social media. This likely wasn’t filmed either. I love that such an unlikely pairing has made such a fun and normal friendship. I’m still hoping Sutton gets her Diamond and also hoping that Garcelle doesn’t roll over and become friends with Rinna again.

So it looks like Monique’s surprise exit is causing them to bring in new blood. Originally I had heard we may get a new friend, but no flute holders. The mention of season 5 has me expecting at least two new faces. With Monique gone it’s going to be hard to replace her so I get why they’re scrambling. Unfortunately this all could’ve been avoided had they been fair.

Dallas was almost perfect! I love that they have the women in bubbles and they only go to each other’s homes. It’s good that they all have nice homes to film in. It felt very natural and you really didn’t feel Covid as much as you do on some of the other series. The part that DIDN’T work was Brandi. She weaponized her tears in case anybody was going to be critical of her and like Tiffany said, it was as if SHE were the victim. I also didn’t like how the ladies tried to gaslight Tiffany and not acknowledge her feelings when pushing on her that she needs to accept and forgive Brandi. I hope she doesn’t become close with Brandi. Beyond that I did like the dynamics and I felt it was so much lighter without Leanne. I think they have the perfect cast right now. Curious to see more of Jen. I didn’t get a good feel for her.

@ErrolThank you for that info! I’m hoping everything goes as well as things can and we get casting info throughout Jan and Feb. I feel that’ll do a lot to comfort fans and get them excited. Especially if some of the announcements are people we know and love. I’m still keeping my fingers crossed.

The production thing confuses me. There are rumors that the production company switched during filming and another that they switched AFTER filming because Bravo didn’t like the episode edits provided by the original company.

Enough time has passed to easily write out Samantha, but I’d honestly be open for a recast since Kim absolutely won’t return.

Last week, many (myself included) wondered why Mary barely appeared. As we know, they switched production companies at some point, so Mary won’t be appearing until the finale. I’m assuming this means she won’t be on the cast trip either. I’m so confused how this happened. Was she hired full time and then made part time? If she was always part time I wonder why they suddenly stopped filming her? Apparently when the new company started editing the show, *they* liked her and are the ones who made her full time. If this is true I’ll be disappointed. She was fun and crazy. I hope it doesn’t get boring. The past couple episodes have been borderline.

Camilla Banus just announced she tested positive. Of course she’s a Trumper who has been flying cross country and celebrating her engagement. To my knowledge nobody else has tested positive, but with so many cast members traveling and posting themselves out in public, we have no idea when they will test positive.

The shows are on their holiday break, but even if they extend it a bit it won’t matter because certain cast members just aren’t taking it seriously.

I do wonder if Bravo might try to get her back since she did sign that contract. I feel like all these tag lines are good and I’m excited for this season! Seeing no Leanne is such a relief. As someone who loved the previous season I’m hoping it continues to have the breezy feel of that season prior to the toxicity of the second cast trip. That RHOJersey intro looked bizarre and the casting seems to odd to me, but I still want to check it out lol. It looks well produced, but the casting just doesn’t work for me on the surface.

With Covid it’s hard to say, but typically May is when they announce what shows get picked up for the folllowing season. Due to Covid it was a lot different thing year because they weren’t able to film pilots like they normally would. So in a normal world we’d be hearing about casting the next couple months because they’d have to film a pilot, but who knows? It’s possible the show could get picked up with no pilot, or even turned down without a pilot. CW commissioned a Dark Shadows reboot and declined it just based on the scripts.
